Hi here we have a lovely 3- tier oak glazed globe wernicke bookcase. Comes with inside glass shelving and mirrors as backing. The choice to have these in use is entirely up to you but will send them along with bookcase all the same. There is some faded signs here and there as shown on photos. These are just due to age as to be expected. All sliding doors are in full mechanical working order. Comes in four sections so it's easy to move around if need be. Rockwell-Wabash Barrister Bookcase Section Very nice find. Rockwell-Wabash stuff never shows up. Measures out the same as an"E" size Globe Wernicke or Macey. Original finish. Has the step back board, compatible with"E" or"D" size stacks. Quarter sawn oak. Uses a hinge/slide system nearly identical to the early Globe system. NO door knob or glass. With a few bottom parts this would drop right onto a Globe or Macey base. As you can see in the last picture a Globe top(or section) fits nicely on top. The Globe top in the picture is NOT included. The bottom board has been broken then nailed back on backwards, it looks bad like it is but simply needs to be flipped and glued. Art Mission Globe Wernicke Grade 898 Quartersawn Oak Barrister
Nice old lawyers bookcase from Globe Wernicke. 55 inches tall. 34 inches wide and 11 inches deep. Label says grade 898 1/4 oak mission finish. Almost looks fumed. Has light wear, and 2 knobs were replaced. The others are real nice heavy original pyramid knobs and the bookcase has a rare drawer in the base with original mission pulls. Really nice shape. Set of 4 Antique Oak File Drawer Card Holders Plus Pull -Globe Wernicke?
A set of antique file cabinet label card holders that mount on the front of each drawer. 3 of them are flush mount that measure 3 5/8 by 2 1/4 inches. The holes are 3 1/4 and 1 7/8 inches on center. These are heavy cast brass. Not rolled and have an item number impressed into the back of each which looks like"894" The other is a card label holder with a bin pull on the bottom. The top label bracket is 2 3/4 by 1 1/4 inches. The overall measurements are 2 inches by 3 7/8 inches. The holes are 3 1/2 inches on center. It is also cast brass. Unsure of the maker or the company but a nice vintage lot for your restoration project.

Check out this beautiful light oak Antique Globe Wernicke 2 Drawer File Cabinet/Card Catalog in wonderful condition. Made by the Globe Wernicke Company out of Cincinnati. Ohio this is both a great piece of history and very functional. This card catalog has all the maker stamps on both the inside and outside. Another amazing feature about this rare piece of the bottom where it is stamped"Property Air Force/United States Army. The stories this piece of history could tell! It's overall in great condition. The cabinet is exquisitely dovetailed and very solid. It does have a couple scratches/writing right where the handles are but this could probably easily be buffed out. It is an old US Post Office file and still retains a metal tag and a sticker indicating Post Office property. It apparently was used for box rent records as indicated by a partial paper in top. Globe Wernicke Vintage Oak Wood Recipe Card File Box Peerless 7310C Made in USA
Offered is a vintage filing box from Globe Wernicke. Cincinnati Ohio. The box is a medium colored oak and measures 10" long, 5 1/2" wide and is 4 1/2" tall. It has a metal base with the sliding card holder. It is in good shape with the usual nicks and dings- normal for something this old. There are some labels from the previous owners, I am sure they can be removed, but I will leave it to the new owner. The corners are dovetailed, one corner appears to be loose, but on close inspection, it looks like it came from the factory that way. There is a crack the length of the lid, this is from age and drying out, the crack goes through the paper labels. In all, it is a great classy box with all the right patina. This auction is for a beautiful set of 5 stack bookshelves made by the Globe-Wernicke Co in Cincinnati. Ohio. The set is in very good condition and each door opens and works very well. I bought the set about 20 years ago in an antique store so I don't know any actual history, but the hardware and small brass knobs on the doors seems to be original. Each door has beveled glass and the brass strappings on the ends are in good condition. There are labels from the manufacturer on the back wall of each shelf, some more faded than others due to age. The overall height, including the base, is 82 inches. Each case is 11 1/2 inches deep, 34 1/2 inches wide and is 13 1/2 inches high. The set is pictured in my home and as is evident in the photos. Last Time! Antique Globe Wernicke Oak Map Blueprint Cabinet 5 Sections - Rare!
This is a RARE find. I am simply not going to get to all the"projects" I have acquired and this deserves to be cherished and used! This is a set of 5 Globe Wernicke Map- Blueprint Oak Cabinets each with 5 drawers. Will NOT sell individually. These were acquired from a university and clearly were used in a Department of Agriculture(they have the USDA inventory stickers still attached)office prior to be used in the university setting. I date their age to be 1920s or perhaps the mid 30's. These were clearly utility pieces. I recovered paperwork from the USDA from 1930 thru the 1950's. These were made when furniture was meant to be used for many. Many years and was not meant to be a disposable item. They are solid wood with dovetailed joints. While they are structurally very sound and solid(one drawer front was broken& glue ... morerepaired) they need some serious TLC and updating of handles- I will leave that to the new owner. I was planning to more thoroughly clean, sand, stain in a darker tone for consistency& replace handles with vintage bin pulls: of course, the new owner may decide to do more or less depending on preference. They could be painted( or even used almost as is. Overall dimensions each cabinet 33" wide x 13 1/4" high x 25" deep. All 5 units are approximately 66" high. Look carefully at the pics and I can send more detailed pics. These are in need of minor repairs and restoration. As seen in the pictures) There are even postal notice documents dating in the early 1960’s, still in them. Also pictured is one drawer that I removed the paint to show how awesome this would look restored. Luckily. When whoever painted it, did not do a vey good job. It literally took me 5 minutes to disassemble, sand, and re-assemble. There are 2 drawers missing, and I was going to make a matching cabinet door to cover that area. Antique Globe Wernicke barrister bookcase mode; 299. With 4 sections(D8, 2 x D10, D12) top, and legs. I believe it is from the early 1900's. This is a restoration project, one d10 has a broken glass, the door hardware on all will needs some cleaning and tweaking, one iron band is starting to detach, the veneer inside is damaged in one or two pieces, top is delaminating, the base is broken and other minor problems. Eill also need a thorough cleaning and possibly a stain refinish. It is made of oak, a few pieces look like tiger oak, the existing finish is very dark. Antique Globe Wernicke 6-Stack 299 Grade Oak Stacking Lawyers Barrister Bookcase
Up for bid is a wonderful 6-stack Globe Wernicke lawyers or barristers bookcase made of quartersawn oak. All sections are the very desirable Grade 299(quarter sawn/tiger oak with the medium finish) Has the very desirable ogee(curved) top and bottom. All sections are size D-10 1/4. Bookcase is ALL ORIGINAL. Original finish. Original wavy glass, original knobs on the doors. Bookcase is ALL COMPLETE. All labels are present and intact. All glass is present(no cracks or breaks) All felt along the tops of the doors is complete and intact. All scissors mechanisms are present. All acid-etched side bands are correct and present. I rescued over 20 sections from a storage room of an old Chicago school library, and these 6 sections were in the best condition. Condition of the sections is way above average for their age. After 100 years the finish on ... morethese cases has usually"alligatored" Not here. Although there are the usual scratches and chips in the finish, which is to be expected(there is a rub of white paint on the right side of one section shown in the photos) the outside finish is overall extremely smooth with a nice gloss. The very top has the most wear and scratches as the librarians slid and stacked items on top of the cases. There is also the reside from 2 old pieces of cellophane tape on the front of the top. I can find no delamination of the back panels, nor any bubbling of the veneer on the very top. Being in a library for so many years has preserved them nicely. Overall size of the bookcase is 84" tall x 34" wide x 12" deep. If you need more photos. Or have additional questions, please email me. This is a cool oak wood card catalog by Globe Wernicke. Globe is well known for their quality and attention to detail. It has 2 drawers. Solid construction with dovetail. One drawer is missing the metal rod down the center. It is 19.5" wide x 7.25" tall x 15.5" deep. It is in good condition with just a few scratches.

This unit for stackable barrister bookcases is in great shape. It's the C11 size- about 34x9.5 inches. 13 inches tall. Made by Globe Wernicke- and has the sticker in back. Original wavy glass, original pull, and original scissors mechanism(you can see the 1905 patent stamp in it) It's 299, which means quarter sawn oak. Minor scratches/scuffs as typical, but no major problems. This will be very well packaged.
