Rare Architectural Antique Bookcase with Beveled Glass & Deep Drawers
This is a rare piece we collected years ago from Architectural Antiques. It features a beveled glass wood framed door(19.5"w 63.5"h) with the original key. There are 5 interior shelves measuring 22" wide and 13.75" deep allowing you to showcase both books and collectables. The spacing between the shelves is 12" high with the exception of the top-most shelf which allows for 15" items. On the right are 5 drawers measuring 10" wide by 11.5" high by 14" deep; each with original hardware. Layers of crown molding adorn the top(extending 4" on each side) and paneled sections line the sides. This piece is extremely heavy and mimics primitive pieces yet includes the more intricate features of the glass and molding making it a most versitale accessory. A great piece of furniture from ca. 1930's- 1950's and perfect as a display for books or other small collectibles! Solid wood cabinet sections and shelves in a dark stain. I think the wood is mahogany but it could also be walnut? In any case. A beautiful dark color. The five stacks/sections come apart and the top/cap and the base are separate pieces so technically it breaks down into seven pieces. Thick. Original beveled glass in all five sections(sorry, the bevel doesn't show well in my pics but it's there) All original metal(probably brass) knobs in a dark. Bronze like finish. All five lift up doors work smoothly. Solid. Sturdy construction. Nice curved detail on apron beneath top. ... moreUnlike most lawyers bookcases. This one has a large lower section that adds great character! The piece is in very good condition with only age appropriate wear.on the upper section in my pics. On one side, there are two scratches. These are shallow but they do show. They could easily be restrained to match the finish and would not be noticeable all but I have left it as I bought it. Also. On the tip of the right hand upper casing, there is some minor wear where the finish has been rubbed off but this could also be re-stained pretty easily. The backs of each section and the top of the cap piece are a thinner wood. Veneer like. The wood on the top of the cap is slightly warped but still intact.when put together. The piece is so tall that you don't see the top at all and it obviously is sturdy enough to hold a bit of weight as you can see in my pics that I keep multiple pieces on display there. Assembled. Measures 68.5" high and 32.5" wide and 19.25" deep. Each of the four top sections/stacks separately measures 13.75" high. 13.25" deep and 32.5" wide. It travels safely in two pieces, the top 27 3/4 inches wide by 7 3/4 inches deep front to back and 32 1/2 inches tall. Antique white bookcase with stained glass door from the early 1900's
One of a kind bookcase from my Grandfathers' drugstore. It is a large piece measuring appx. 8' x 8' It is two separate pieces and very heavy. It has been moved twice in the past two years and could use a little tlc as there is some flaking/chipping of the paint. There are a couple of scratches on this piece also that need attention if so desired.

Adorable half size quartered quarter sawn oak barrister bookcase. Sometimes called a lawyers bookcase or stacked bookcase. These were mostly made by Globe Wernicke or Macey Co. but I do not know the manufacturer of this one. Piece is executed in quartered oak with leaded glass doors. Each with pretty beveled diamonds. Additional highlights include a sculptured top and a full skirt. Completely professionally refinished(some of the backs may have been replaced) and in excellent condition(beautiful smooth surface) with all doors operating perfectly. A very beautiful and useful stacking seven piece(includes top and base) sectional bookcase manufactured by Gunn. The oak bookcase has a mahogany finish. Measures 35” wide, 12” deep, and 69 ¾” tall. It features 2 leaded glass sections with original glass. It also has a fold-down secretary with pigeonholes, all original pieces in tact, with working lock& key. But cannot find any label identifying the manufacturer. This bookcase is constructed entirely of smooth. Beautiful oak. It features 3 glass doors on the front of each section; the glass is intact with no cracks or problems to mar their beauty. The glass doors flip up and open/close smoothly. The piece is in good used condition. it has a hole in the back for an electrical chord. The dimension are approximately 34" wide 18 1/2" deep and 24 1/4" tall. I have had bad luck shipping glass even packing it carefully. So the doors would have to go in a separate box. I would prefer local pickup. Shipping to be quoted at the close of the auction. I have to buy boxes and packing material and that will be included in the cost. I would guess greyhound some where around $100. I never make money on shipping however bear in mind ebay charges the seller a percentage of the shipping. For Sale. Three stack sectional glass door barrister bookcase made by Lundstrum probably in the 1920s, 30s or 40s. They work perfectly. The glass sliding doors are unblemished. The top has faded marks from glasses. And the veneer was repaired in one corner but it still glows and the rest of the surfaces are in good to very good condition. Antique Oak Macey 8" Barrister Bookcase Section w/ Leaded Glass
Up for sale is an antique Macey Bookcase section from Circa 1910. It has leaded glass and is all original. The dimentions are 11" tall(roughly 8.5" inches for interior book room) 33.5" wide, and 11.5" Deep. Similar to a Globe Wernicke D-8 section, but not quite compatible if stacked with a Globe Wernicke due to a slight difference in how the top of the doors are made. The"Macey" stenciling exists inside of the bookcase, along with"98. Condition: All original. In very good condition. Original finish and glass. The finish is slightly alligatored, but the quarter-sawn oak still shines through nicely. The leaded glass has a crack on one of the larger panes, as well as one of the small triangels. There's a couple spots of flaking to the leadwork(see picks, lighter spots. There is a section of green paint ... moreon the back of the bookcase and the very back of the copper band where it folds around the back. That's it- all mechanisms original and work nicely. Shipping: No wrapping charge as I have the packing materials. I will remove the door and wrap that between two pieces of styrofoam to prevent the glass from bending inward during transit(old leadwork not reinforced and protected during transit is bad) Shipping will be via FedEx ground to the lower 48 USA only.
