A very fine antique. Circa 1880's, simple Eastlake style solid walnut two door bookcase over two drawer base. One piece construction. There are four walnut fronted maple adjustable shelves, the interior back boards also of maple. The panels on the two drawers, and the cornice panel, are burl walnut veneer. The doors retain the original wavy glass panels, and the lock. The drawers have their locks and original hardware. The sides of the walnut case are recessed panels. It is on iron casters. The furniture measures 81" tall by 45-1/2" wide by 16-1/2" the shelves 10-1/2 deep. Excellent condition: original finish, walnut boards without chip or cracks, burl veneer complete. Both glass panels without damage.

Antique Bookcase Large 7 Feet Tall Bold Ornately Carved Wood & Floated Glass
This is the most ornately carved antique you have ever seen. I've had three antique dealers says the same. The front is intricately hand carved with reliefs of lions, leather, scroll work, and of course the Atlas(Zuess? figures holding up the world. Wood is possibly poplar. It's very soft white wood with original dark stain. Glass is original floated, hence wavy with tiny air bubbles. Two original keys also included. Bookcase comes with German penny that was found in lower middle drawer. I was told owners do this to give provenance along the way. Each time it sells. So I will be adding a penny to the continuation! This bookcase was originally auctioned from world famous Red Baron's to The Yellowstone Club. I thought I had lost it forever. This sliding door bookcase stands approximately 60 inches tall and is approximately 47 inches across by 15 inches deep. At least 4 shelves have been replaced with plywood and are not original. These are outside measurements. There are a few scuffs and scratches here and there that would cover up nicely with a little stain. It is in working usable condition. Vintage Oak Lawyers Stacking Bookcase Door Glass and Hardware GRM Grand Rapids I sold a vintage mission lawyers bookcase awhile back and the bottom section had been damaged so I sold only the remaining sections. This is the door and hardware that was removed from the bottom unit. It is the glass door that hooks on the sides of the bookcase unit with the hardware for the sides of the bookcase itself. The bookcase it was removed from was oak so this also should be oak. The glass is in perfect condition. No chips or cracks. The knob is not original. The door is in wonderful condition and has the hooks attached on the sides as shown. It measures 32 3/8' X 13½' X 13/16' I did notice that this door is higher than the other ones were and it was on a bottom unit. I am not sure how old this is but I believe it to be an Antique based on the locks on the desk and the hardware. As you can see in the pictures this displays and looks beautiful. There are 2 drawers at the base on the left and right with flat glass bookcases above them. Which have applied carvings around the top edges. The middle compartment has a curved glass door with applied carvings around the edges, and a curved wood door underneath with lots of applied carvings and more storage. It still has all of it's original stickers. The person that did the restoration only uses the original stains that the peice is coded with as to keep it as close to the original finish as possible. The glass is all leaded and the smaller squares are faceted. NOTE: 01/06/14- I FOUND THE DRAWER THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED AS MISSING! WHEN I EMPTIED THE CONTENT OF THE DESK I TOOK THE WHOLE DRAWER OUT AND PUT IT IN A CARDBOARD BOX THAT I JUST WENT THROIUGH AND FOUND IT! There is a drawer below the desk itself and another pull out drawer at the bottom/foot of the peice itself. Both the base and the top cap are original and present. The inside fo the desk was NOT refinished and shows normal signs of age. Please be sure to ask for additional photos if necessary. I also have the matching RARE double wide magogany 3 section each side bookcase also refinsihed by the same person so the 2 peices match.
