A great piece of furniture from ca. 1930's- 1950's and perfect as a display for books or other small collectibles! Solid wood cabinet sections and shelves in a dark stain. I think the wood is mahogany but it could also be walnut? In any case. A beautiful dark color. The five stacks/sections come apart and the top/cap and the base are separate pieces so technically it breaks down into seven pieces. Thick. This one has a large lower section that adds great character! The piece is in very good condition with only age appropriate wear.on the upper section in my pics. On one side, there are two scratches. These are shallow but they do show. They could easily be restrained to match the finish and would not be noticeable all but I have left it as I bought it. Also. On the tip of the right hand upper casing, there is some minor wear where the finish has been rubbed off but this could also be re-stained pretty easily. The backs of each section and the top of the cap piece are a thinner wood. Veneer like. The wood on the top of the cap is slightly warped but still intact.when put together. The piece is so tall that you don't see the top at all and it obviously is sturdy enough to hold a bit of weight as you can see in my pics that I keep multiple pieces on display there. Assembled. Measures 68.5" high and 32.5" wide and 19.25" deep. Each of the four top sections/stacks separately measures 13.75" high. 13.25" deep and 32.5" wide. This lovely desk with bookcase above and drawers below was recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh. Scotland and is constructed of beautiful quartersawn oak, really nice metal pulls and leaded glass doors protecting the bookcase. This delightful piece stands 72 inches tall and measures 31 inches wide by 18 inches deep. Front to back. It travels safely in two pieces, the top 27 3/4 inches wide by 7 3/4 inches deep front to back and 32 1/2 inches tall. The dimensions within the top cabinet are 31 inches tall by 27 1/2 inches wide by 6 inches front to back and has two adjustable shelves as well as the base of the cabinet to serve as three shelves within the cabinet. Hello. Up for auction is this striking antique solid oak, leaded stained glass, double door bookcase with scroll feet, with four adjustable shelves, and original hardware, with key for locking. It is solid oak, and in great shape for an old piece, including the original finish. Book case was made by Larkin soap company, of Buffalo, NY at the turn of the century, although there are no manufacturer's marks on it. It is indeed a Larkin. No breaks, or cracks in glass. Larkin was an early 20th Century soap manufacturer, who started giving away furniture as promotional items, and had so much success, they started making, and selling their own line of furniture. For Sale is a Vintage 3-Shelf Wood Bookcase with 2 Glass Doors. It was made around 1970. Great case for storing books of value and older books. The smooth finish allows books to slide in and out with no damage or scratch. The two glass doors slide back and forth. The unit looks nice and glass doors work as they should. No damage. On the back near the top is a hairline crack that doesn't effect the unit's stability and is not visible when against a wall. A small sticker of a cute small owl on the top left of the left glass door can probably be scraped off if the buyer wishes to do so. Width 35 3/4 inches. Height 41 inches, Depth 12 inches. We are pleased to offer to the market this great antique barrister bookcase. This ca. 1901 case bears the Gunn Mfg. Co. tag with a mfg date of 1901. Constructed from tiger oak this piece is solid and in amazing condition for the age. The doors have the original glass and the finish is also original on this. This measures 34 1/8" wide x 14 1/8" deep x 55.5" high. The top three sections are 8.75" high inside and the bottom section is 10.75" high inside. These have a book depth of 10.5" There are a couple of chips in the veneer on the back sections and there is some light bubbling to the finish on the top as well as paint speckles on the top. The finish is in excellent condition on figured mahogany with pine sides. There are numerous shrinkage separations from age and mars at the edges for antique character.
