Beautiful McCoy? Soup Tureen/ Cauldron Set This set has one soup tureen/ pot and four soup bowls. No chips or cracks that I can see- only one little mark on one of the soup bowls- looks like someone missed a spot when they put the glaze on in the manufacturing. The pot measures 5 3/4's tall without handle. And 6 1/4 around at the top. The lid does have marks on it- looks like someone had tape on it(might come off but I didn't want to damage it) see picture. There is no hallmark on the pot- but there is on the small cauldrons- they were hard for me to read, a friend of mind told me that these were McCoy- so I do not guaranty that they are. For your consideration we have an Antique Pottery Stoneware Pitcher in the color of an olive green. It has some grape leaves and grapes on its one side. The other side is smooth. This item has NO chips or cracks anywhere. It has some light crazing in spots. The glaze still holds a shine very well. No makers mark or signature on this one. It measures 5 1/2" tall by 5 1/2" wide including handle. The handle and rim has some beautiful scroll work. This piece is very old, looks to me to be very early 1900s. Gorgeous Antique Adam Antique Steubenville Plate. This plate is 9 inches in diameter. And had a lovely embossed edge with urns and flourishes, with a pretty delicate floral rose pattern. The edges are scalloped with gold trim. Very hard to find, I have found the plain plate on replacements, they do not have any plates. This is called the luncheon size. It is crazed. But not discolored. There is some wear on the thin gold trim along the scalloped edges. There is a very fine age line along the back edge of the plate that does not go through to the other side. There are two chips, one very small along the backside near the edge, and one along the front side, hidden among the flowers. It seems like it possibly flaked off. less than 1/2 inch, closer to 1/4 inch. The beauty of this plate outweighs the minor issues that it has. Please see the pictures ... moreto see up close. Early 19th Century Cast Iron Snow Bird Federal Eagle Architectural Antiques
Great authentic antique cast iron Snowbird or Snow Eagle. Circa late 1800' early 1900's. There are many styles and variations of these old architectural appointments and the Federal eagles were one of the most popular. Traditional example of artistic form following function. They were attached to the roofs to hold& keep layers of snow from sliding off. The snowbirds had mounting bars or straps that were usually placed about 24" from the roof edge. The'birds' then positioned side-by-side in a horizontal line. Their wings were designed to form a vertical barrier, holding the snow safely in place, allowing it to slowly melt. This Snowbird is an authentic architectural piece not a reproduction. It has a beautiful rustic bronze patina. It is without the mounting bar. This would make a wonderful accent piece or used as ... morea paperweight. The bird stands approximately 5" in height& its wingspan 6 1/4" in width. The base is 2 3/4" L. Three Vintage Textile Mill Bobbins, thread spools, candle holders, antiques
This is a collection of 3 antique textile mill thread bobbins. All different lengths and heights. These were used by former owners as candle holders and I left much of the wax dripping still on them. These are made of hard wood and metal. The tallest one is 11.5 inches tall. The middle one is 9.5 inches tall. The shortest one is 7.25 inches tall. These are representatives from the early American Textile mill cloth making industry from the early 1900s.
