Everything works. It comes apart in 5 pieces: 3 center section. The top and legs. Easily fits in a small car. Clean, vintage condition and ready for use. The top has a couple of small rings, but nothing outstanding because it was toned down with cleaners and wax. I will add the picture before the auction ends, but it’s really nothing unusual. Measures 34 1/4” wide X 11 3/4” deep X 53” high. The top section will hold books up to 11” high. The remaining lower sections are taller and will accommodate books up to 12 3/4” high. The model number is 811. If you own other sections and wish to add to these they need to be the same number. I have 2 other Globe sections with top,model 711, but it’s about 1/4” to short. This is a wonderful bookcase with six-glass-door sections that dates from the 1900s-10s. Made by the Weiss Furniture Company, which ... morewas well-known for its high-quality office furniture. This one is in the mission style, has been completely refinished in a dark oak stain, has its original brass knobs, and it does look like the glass is all original, though I can't guarantee it because sometimes in this light I can't tell if the glass is wavy. The wood itself is all solid oak. It has a base with four simplistic square legs in the mission style. The coolest thing is that it is all original on the inside finish, with its original Weiss stickers on every back panel. Another unusual thing about this is that the doors are all the hard-to-find heights. Every door on the bookcase is 14.5 inches tall. That means that when you open the bookcase, it gives you 12.5 inches of height, and 10.5 inches of depth. The width of the inside of each section is 32 inches. The overall height is 106 inches tall. Its height may mean you would like to take the base off so it would fit in a room with a normal 8-foot ceiling. Up for consideration are 6 matching Arts& Crafts"Prairie School" Antique Leaded Glass interior Windows set in Oak Cabinet bookcase door frames. Overall dimensions are 49 1/2 inches tall by 12 1/2 inches wide by 7/8 ths inches thick. The stained glass panels are well made with a copper colored leaded finish. The original key is provided but is stuck in the lock. Most of the hinges are intact as well as the interior latch mechanism for each other half of the set. There is an ink(I think it is ink) stain on the bottom of the drawer. I have not tried to remove it and it has been there since we bought it. There is a tiny mark on the top(under the mirror) that looks like a tiny burn mark or mark of some kind. The key is meant to fit three doors. It works fine on the glass door that encloses the glass shelves and it also works fine on the drawer under the desk top. The mechanism is missing to lock the large door under the desk top. The piece is numbered with"172" carved into the wood inside the large storage area under the desk top. The original paper work is still attached to the back of the piece giving care instructions and stating that it was made in the LARKIN plant#
