J2919 This is a quarter sawn oak open bookcase circa 1910. These are really hard to find. Overall it is 16 inches deep. 22 inches wide across the front, and 437inches tall. The shelves are 16 inches deep and 18 inches wide in clearance. The clearance height between the shelves is 10 1/2 inches for the lowest shelf and 9 inches for the balance. It would make a great entertainment center. It is constructed of solid white oak and has been lovingly refinished in a warm medium oak finish by our refinishing shop to provide many more years of enjoyment. Antique Mission Quartersawn Oak Hale/Macey Barrister Bookcase
Great old barrister. All oak in original finish. Good patina. Some alligatoring on one shelf inside. Measures 34 1/2 wide. 12" deep and 45 1/2" tall. Bottom shelf is tallest at 14 1/4" and is labelled Macey 912. Top one carries a Hale label and is 10 1/2" tall. Center one is the same as top but is unsigned. I am certain it too is Hale. Bookcase is banded with what appears to be copper and a hammered/leopard appearance. The two top sections were scissored at one time. Hooks are there. Metal scissors are not. Glass doors do move properly despite this. All glass appears to be original. There is some warping of the wood panels in the back. Just a sign of age and has no affect on appearance or performance. Here’s one beautiful fireplace mantle which was removed from a home in Pittsburgh Pa. This old tiger oak mantle is in good vintage condition. Made of quartersawn oak. These barrister bookcase parts include a top, base, and two side pieces. The condition is very good with a bit of thinning of the veneer on the left side of the top. This should be visible in the second picture. We have, also, photographed the top sitting on the base so that you can see they are compatible. This was, probably, Globe Wernicke, however, there is no label to confirm that. The top is 34" wide and 12" deep. The base is 34" wide 12 1/2 inches deep and 6 3/4 inches high. The side pieces each measure 12 3/16" wide X 15 1/16 high.

J2957 This is a oak 3 section bookcase with sliding doors circa 1905. It was manufactured by the Danner Company around the turn of the century. John Danner specialized in manufacturing office furniture. It has a extra large and deep lower section that provides 11 inches deep by 22 inches high and 17 inches wide of clearance. The 2 top sections have 9 inches deep of clearance which is standard. All three sections have adjustable shelves. The lower section has a pull out shelf. The bookcase also has a bottom drawer. The top crown section has"egg and dart" trim. The piece has"leaded" glass doors with some beveled pieces. These are really hard to find with all the options on this model. Overall it is 16 inches deep. 37 inches wide across the front, and 85 1/2 inches tall. Maker i do not know, quality of horner but is not likely his work, is as well constructed and remains in that condition after 120 years of service. there are no loose or wobbly screws or holes. the hardware is all original and perfect. it has all original locks that are all tight and just like the day they were installed. it has the original keys and all the locks lock and work perfectly. when the door is shut there is not crack or room between the door and frame large enough to allow a razor blade to slide into. the same way with the drawers, drop front and top drawer which is spectacular and boast a serpentine curve. this piece is as solid and tight as any i have ever owned and the correctness and tightness would lead one ... moreto believe it was made yesterday. not really, they do not make stuff in this day and time that remotely compares to antique furniture. most secretary desks, there are some gaps in the bookcase door, usually wobbly hinges, drop front loose, drawers flopping here and there. you can shut most of them up but they have issues. anyway, construction is perfect, solid, quality material, and workmanship. who ever made it was a triple A firm. on the back there is a paper label that has spaces for the no. of the item, the finish, who did the cabinet work, filling, rubbing, polishing, trimming, and packing. these areas have been penciled in, but the wording has faded beyond ascertainment. there is also a label that has willick bros, muncating? somewhere. can't make that out either. the piece also has incised inventory numbers in the boards feature only used by the highest quality furniture makers. it also has stamped inventory nos. here and there. are you bored yet? now for the piece itself. so well done. pierced carved,very very well done griffins on each corner of the top crest. great solid tight sconce in the center held up by a wonderful turned column, all fitting perfectly and as

Offered here is a gorgeous Antique Ornately Carved Oak Cabinet/Cupboard/Bookcase circa 1880. This piece is in excellent condition with minor nicks. Splits expected in a piece its age. It features beautifully carved woodwork. The most elaborate carving is found on the cabinet doors. Each door features spoils of the hunt. One door features a pheasant and quail. The other door features a rabbit and a quail. The drawer doors are incredible featuring branch and leaf drawer pulls! The glass in the cabinet is original. What an incredible piece! The outside dimensions of each section is 34 1/4" wide x 13 ¼” high x 9 ¼” deep. The sections will accommodate items 7 ¾” deep and 10 ½” high and still allow the doors to open and close. The decal in each section is good and I see no visible damage to these sections and they are complete.
