Probably done at the same time as the finish. The spots that might have revealed the maker name have paint on them so I am selling it as maker unknown. In addition to the 2 sections, it comes with the original top or crown, and a base with drawer. It also features metal side straps between each section and the scissor mechanism for the doors. No problems with the 2 glass doors. In fact, I see no problems at all. With the square straight legs it is very mission looking and being from about 100 years ago, I think we can safely call it authentic mission furniture in every way except the finish, although a lot of mission furniture WAS this color when it was new. The joints are all tight and all sections lock together easily and correctly. While only a 2 stack, it is a big 2 stack with each section able to take books as much as 13 1/2 inches tall. The over all measurement are 34 inches wide as most of these are, and with base and crown a total of 45 inches tall. It is a full 14 inches deep from knobs to back. I am listing this as local pick up only. BUT there are shipping/delivery options for you to chose from. RI delivery is $50 MA or CT. $100 If you are beyond those states. I would still deliver to most of the rest of New England, all of NJ, parts of PA that are East of Harrisburg and parts of NY that are East of Binghamton for $200. All glass is present(no cracks or breaks) All felt along the tops of the doors is complete and intact. All scissors mechanisms are present. All acid-etched side bands are correct and present. I rescued over 20 sections from a storage room of an old Chicago school library, and these 6 sections were in the best condition. Condition of the sections is way above average for their age. After 100 years the finish on ... morethese cases has usually"alligatored" Not here. Although there are the usual scratches and chips in the finish, which is to be expected(there is a rub of white paint on the right side of one section shown in the photos) the outside finish is overall extremely smooth with a nice gloss. The very top has the most wear and scratches as the librarians slid and stacked items on top of the cases. There is also the reside from 2 old pieces of cellophane tape on the front of the top. I can find no delamination of the back panels, nor any bubbling of the veneer on the very top. Being in a library for so many years has preserved them nicely. Antique Lawyers Barrister Sectional Bookcase From the late 1800's- early 1900's. Includes; 3 storage sections. Plus a top section, and a bottom/base section. This bookcase displays beautifully. There are some flaws(the worst of which are shown in pics. Common given its age. Two doors have scratched glass. The glass would cost about $10.00 per section. And is very easily replaced. Rare Antique Weis Barrister Bookcase With Fold Out Desk And Drawers
Up for sale is this antique Weis Slide Door barrister style bookcase. With 2 bookcase sections, 2 drawer sections, a fold out desk section, along with the top and base. This will require refinishing as it shows quite a bit of wear. I can't quite figure out how the wear to the sides was caused, it looked like moisture damage, but there is no lift or softness in those areas and the white is actually paint, so the best I can figure is that those spots may have been up against a radiator, hard to say for sure. It is also missing one set of the glass sliding doors. It measures about 56 1/4" tall, 34 1/8" across, and 10 7/8" deep, the base is 12 1/4" deep. Due to how the lips overlap and join together, I believe this piece will only stack as shown. Local pick up. Or perhaps delivery within a couple hundred miles can be worked ... moreout for a fee.

The is a misson lawyers bookcase from Globe Wernicke. Label says 898 mission oak finish and each of the 4 sections are labeled. I think the finish is fumed oak and is a lovely mission look. 55 inches tall. 11 inches deep and 34 inches wide. 4 sections with a seperate top and bottom. Bottom has a nice drawer. Original finish. Original antique wavy glass. All doors open nicely and have all inside door mechanisms. All hardware is original except for 2 knobs which were replaced at some poit. There is the base which measures 34-3/4" by 12-3/8" and is 5-5/8" high. The second piece(which I presume is the top) measures the same as the base. but is 3-3/4" high. They are in very good sturdy condition and the patina isn't bad. one could restore each or sand and apply a similar stain. if one has the"mid" sections. Drop a line with any inquiries.

Antique Wernicke Barrister Style Stackable Bookcase-5 Sections-6.5 Feet Tall!
Antique estate find! This was found in a storage unit that was slam full of antiques and had been in storage for over 35 years. It is believed to be between 75 to 100+ years old! There is wear. Scuffs, scratches, etc as to be expected with age, use, transport, and storage. It has not been cleaned or dusted.could use a good cleaning. There is a sticker on each piece of glass, but the glass is in excellent condition. One of the knobs/pulls is missing and has been replaced with a type of screw as a temporary fix. Comes with a 4 legged base, 5 individual stackable cases, and a top. All in all there are 7 components. Could be GORGEOUS with the right refinishing and or painting.or leave as is to display it's character! It is 78" tall by 34" wide by 11" deep.

Globe Wernicke Macey Style Antique Barrister Stacking Bookcase Top & Base
Up for sale is this barrister bookcase base and top. There is no label so I don't know the precise maker. The base is missing its bottom panel. There is some veneer loss/damage to the top along with other wear and tear, so please know that these are a refinishing project. The top measures about 34" across and 12" wide including the lip on the very top. The base is about 12 1/2" wide including the lip at the very bottom, and 34" across. The last photo shows how the top fits on a Macey D12 section, those sections are about 11 1/8"

Antique Vintage Lundstrom Barrister Lawyer Stacking Mahogany Bookcase - 3 Sets
Lundstrom Book cases- Circa 1926. Three tops with original brass plate. Three bottoms and 13 individual book cases- configure bookcases as you please. Each bookcase is 13" x 34" Old wavy glass. Door are in really good shape. Solid wood. Light repairs needed on side of a couple of the book cases but does not compromise the integrity. Backs of all the bookcases appear original except for two. All knobs are original but 5 missing. Very beautiful. Great addition to any vintage library. Overall good shape for their age. Bookcases come apart for easy handing.

Antique GLOBE WERNICKE Oak 4 Sectional Stack Barrister Bookcase
A good. What I believe is a GLOBE WERNICKE 4 sectional Oak stacking BARRISTER BOOKCASE. In fair CONDITION. I received this note from a viewer: This is an early stack of the Globe Wernicke Company as evidenced by the locking tab on the top.The style of side bands, the early non recessed sides on the top itself. And the closure mechanism. So it IS a GLOBE WERNICKE not a possible one. It is also in the D series line. Most likely a 198 series. I purchased it in 1995 and used it to safely house my rare book collection for almost 20 years. I believe it was refinished before I purchased it. Not the best job done… the refinisher got some glue on the glass of one of the 10” and the 14” unit. I believe it could be razor bladed off. but it never bothered me for what i was using it for. Ideal if you already have one of these bookcase. And want to add ... moremore units. I have seen individual units like these on eBay for $100-150. so, this is a bargin. I am moving and need to find it a good home. But I can always store it until I find the right price. Comes easily apart for a total of 5 pieces. Exterior. 34" wide. 11” deep. 50.75” tall Inside 32” wide. 9.5” depth 2 at 8.25" inside height units with working glass cover. One has glue on glass) 1 at 12" inside height with working glass cover. inexpertly glued corner of glass frame. Has some glue on glass. 1 at 10" inside height unit without a glass cover. Roll Top is in excellent condition. The doors slide nicely. Except the 12" unit sticks a little on the left corner. Would recommend getting this panel repaired. Metal side bands Brass door pulls. No base. Local pick up only in NYC. Upper West Side near 102nd and Broadway.

ANTIQUE 3 TIER GRM GUNN BARRISTER LAWYER WOOD BOOKCASE BASE TOP STACKABLE
This auction is for a antique 3 tier Grand Rapids Michigan Gunn company barristers bookcase. This is a LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. I live in Mount Zion. Illinois. Sectional case has the base,top, and three tiers. All shelves have original glass, hardware and pulls. Case is overall 40.25" tall/ 12.25" deep/ 26" wide. Two sections are 11.25" one is 13.25" tall. The wood top is in fair shape with some staining and scratching. The 2 smaller tiers are in good shape but the dark varnish is smooth in places and raised in places I think from just aging. The larger section is in identical condition. The base is missing the feet. There are two sections with wood glue or something on the bottom(see pic) This is a great functional set either refurbished or as is. Please ask any questions and I will respond promptly. Antique Quarter Sawn Oak Barrister Bookcase, Original Wavy Glass, Gunn Mfg. ?
Hi. This is a lovely antique quarter sawn oak Barrister Bookcase. Professionally restored keeping in mind the integrity of the piece. No Mfg. Label but Gunn Furniture Company was best known for using the side slide mechanism(which this one has) for the doors rather than the scissor type. Beautiful quarter sawn oak case with 3 stacks and original wavy glass. The top 2 cases are 11 inches high able to hold books 8 1/2 inches high. The bottom case is larger at 15 inches high and able to hold books 13 1/2 inches tall. The case together measures 34 1/4 inches wide and 14 1/2 inches deep including curved over hang top and bottom. Offering this Globe-Wernicke Barrister Bookcase No 598 Mahogany. The individual units are 1- Drawer Base, 1-12 1/4 Shelf Unit, 1-10 1/4 Shelf Unit, 2-8 1/2 Shelf Units and 1 top.
