Vintage White / Beige Ceramic and Wood Table Lamp - PAIR
These lamps were in my grandparent's house. They are probably from the 1960's. But they have no markings. They have a gorgeous graduated teardrop shape and a pure mid-century ceramic texture. Don't know what the wood is, but it looks like rosewood or walnut. The silver bases needs some touch-up, and there is only one shade. Work fine. If the shipping costs come in substantially less than what you paid, I will refund the difference. On Feb-17-13 at 14:39:01 PST. Measures 22 inches high including the chimney. 13 inches without chimney, base measures 7 inches across. Condition for age is very good. The base has some tiny splits in the base but does not effect the use, the brass work needs a clean. Large Vintage Pottery Ceramic Kutani Lamp - Peacocks - Flowers - Made in Japan
Selling a beautiful big lamp which was made in Japan- we had to lift the ceramic part up to check the wiring and discovered that underneath there is a little blue and white Made in Japan sticker. The ceramic portion of the lamp has been decorated with the traditional Kutani peacocks- the peacocks. Chrysanthemums, cherry blossoms, and other flowers have been enhanced with gold. Beautifully decorated and will enhance your decor! The lamp stands about a foot tall to the top of the part in which the bulb is placed. The base measures about 6 inches by 4-3/8 inches. The base is in the traditional Japanese stand shape. And I believe it is made from wood but I am not certain. Please see photos for condition! 1700's Antique Hand Painted Ceramic with 14 Karat Gold Trim Lamp
I was given this item to sell by someone I know. I'm not 100% sure about it's authenticity. But here's what I was told. This item was made around 1760 by Georg Heinrich Macheleidr, in Germany, before he actually opened his factory as a prototype. It is hand painted with 24 Karat gold trim on the handles and some of the paintwork. Originally this was a candle lamp that was converted to electricity in the early 1900's. The trademark g marking is on the inside on the bottom. Picture is included. As well, the lamp was appraised about 20 years ago for $3,200. No idea what it's current value is on the market, so going with what we know.

Old Antique 1920's? Vintage KOI FISH Ceramic Pottery Lamp Drippy Glaze SIGNED
KOI Fish Lamp This listing is for an interesting ceramic Koi Fish Lamp. I purchased this at an estate sale a couple years ago. I am not sure if it is working. The cord is original and a little frayed. I would have it replaced if I was purchasing or going to use the item. The color of the clay used is orange/brown. The glaze is shiny. With turquoise, white and brown accents. The light bulb is inserted in the mouth. Please note, there are scattered chips on this piece, so bid accordingly. It measures 8 3/4" across, by approximately 4" tall. It is SIGNED on the bottom, but I am not sure of the maker. This comes from a smoke and pet free environment. As do all our items. Vintage Mid-Century Retro Lamp w/Original Shade circa 1950's Free Form Ceramic
Up for auction is a circa 1950's table lamp with the original shade. The base of the lamp is a high gloss brown ceramic Free Form style and measures 13 inches across. 7 inches high and nearly 4 inches deep and is in excellent condition, no damage. The fiberglass/parchment shade measures 17 inches across, 11-1/2 inches deep and 9-1/2 inches high. Condition is good, though some of the stitching to the frame is broken, there are areas of discoloration and a few light dents. The original brass finial is still present and measures nearly 3 inches long, it is in great condition though tarnished, the harp shows areas of rust. Assembled the lamp measures 19 inches high to the top of the finial. The lamp does not work and does need to be rewired.

Beautiful Victorian Hinks & Sons Ceramic Oil Banquet Lamp, Original Glass Shade
Beautiful Victorian Hinks and Sons Ceramic Oil Banquet Lamp with Original Acid Etched Glass Shade This lovely Victorian oil/kerosene lamp by Hicks and Sons is all original from its base to its duplex burners to its acid etched. Floral design, glass shade. This example of a vintage English banquet lamp has a commanding, and yet quietly elegant, presence. The lamp stands over 23.5" tall by over 6" wide at the base; the piece is quite substantial and heavy probably due to the heavy ceramic, weighted metal base. The naturalistic, calming colors of blue, green, ochre and cream in the ceramic portion(Doulton? complement the quiet elegance of the acid etched floral glass shade. The ceramic base almost has an arabesque design look to it with some elements of aesthetic(nature) movement. As you can see from the photos, some of the ceramic ... moredesign is raised in certain portions of the motif giving it an embossed, three dimensional look. The middle ceramic component is seated on a footed brass base; the oil font sits down in a brass holder seated in the ceramic portion. The lamp is marked by the makers in the following places: on the brass neck near the two wick turners(Hinks and Son's Patent" on the end of the wick turners(Best British Maker F" with what looks like a sun logo in the middle) on the very bottom of the metal base(Hinks and Son's.468" This lamp is in what I consider excellent to very good condition, especially considering its age and utilitarian purpose. The brass footed base has some indications of age such as darkening and pitting; I could find no cracks, no chips and no imperfect areas in the ceramic portion. The only imperfections in this over 100 year old lamp can be attributed to age and use and are the following: several flakes, tiny chips in the glass in the bottom rim of the glass shade; these flakes cannot be seen while the shade is resting in its brass holder. Item No. 1046 Outstanding 19th Century European Lamp which was likely converted from a kerosene lamp or an elegant samovar; exquisite enameling. And patterned gilding throughout; very likely Russian in origin, but we cannot guarantee. We believe this is gold-plating over white metal. Although the metal in some areas seems to be bronze. Four lion masks corresponding with each corner of the base; four hanging decorative triangles, four large and stylized paw feet atop scrolling acanthus leaves. 15" 38.10 cm) to top of ceramic. 41.50" to top of finial, 11" 27.94 cm) square baseceramic atop wood, with 4 metal ball feet. Some restoration to base(see photos showing crack all the way across center. And small cracks on side of base) minor wear to gilt; custom plaster-like decoration around the container opening has much of the perimeter ... moredecoration missing, likely a necessary happening when the lamp has been taken apart in the past; this is restorable, or replaceable if desired; finally, there is overall, age-confirming crazing. Extremely hard to find a matching pair of these gorgeous. Glossy, vintage, blue-green drip glaze ceramic lamps! And in this condition? Almost impossible! Purchased at an estate sale along with many other 1960's Eames era items. Twins! There are two things to note about these gorgeous lamps. One has a three way socket and one has a push socket that only allows it to switch off/on. I am not sure but they both may be 3 way lights and one may of been replaced with an on off switch at one time? not sure. NO LAMP SHADE IS INCLUDED. Absolutely- and I mean absolutely in AMAZING condition! I do not see any crazing at all however I did not inspect with magnifying glass. None to note with naked eye. I am not an expert but please see lamps I sold in the past in my feedback) One tiny- tiny knick on one of the lamps- it looks to be the size of a sharpened ... morepencil/pen tip. Shown in photo. Antique Canton blue ceramic ginger jar lamp w/new linen shade - Japan/China
This decorative ginger jar lamp was part of my mother's Oriental collection. She always called Cantonese. But now I'm seeing that the bottom of the wooden base is marked'Made in Japan 86-5. I'm not sure if the jar is Chinese and the wooden base is Japanese, or if she was mistaken about the jar. Regardless. It's a beautiful piece of functioning Oriental art. The jar itself is made of ceramic and measures 7" wide and 6 1/4" tall. The wooden base adds another 1" and the overall height including the modern fixture is 16" The linen lamp shade is new and compliments the colors of the lamp perfectly. The shade measures 8" tall; the top opening diameter is 5" and the bottom diameter is 14" This lamp appears to be in good condition.
