THE ENTIRE LAMP IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION: This Beautiful Antique Cast Iron Table Lamp with Beautiful Shapely lines of TURQUOISE slag glass is virtually flawless. Rare and absolutely beautiful. Houze Glass Company, located in Marion, PA, was the manufacturer of this glass on this lamp. This lamp is a lovely example of early 20th century lighting, Made in America. The shape and lines of this lamp are very pleasing from the very ornate oval cast iron base, to the scrolled cast iron break with slag glass made to fit inside. AMAZING Art Glass Antique Lamp Shade Metal Base Irridescent Quezal? Loetz? LOOK!
Beautiful! Purchased this lamp along with other antiques from an estate of A Naval Rear Admiral originally from the Coronado California area. He had many wonderful items! I cannot find a signature on the lamp shade. Although I may be missing something. Also, there is no felt or bottom covering on the base. The socket is signed, but this is for the hardware manufacturer. Several antique dealers have looked at shade but no definitive answer. Except it is truly beautiful! Multi shades of color accented with a stunning irridescence. The underside of shade has the colors in their more solid form. And on the outside is this wonderful and captivating coloring. Amazing. The rim of shade has no chips, just slight roughness. Shade is excellent. The metal base does has some discolor here& there. The lamp works and cord is fine. Beautiful Antique Vintage Art-Deco Torchiere Floor Lamp with Slag Glass Bottom
Please study pictures for item details. The number 235020 is branded into the under bottom of base. As I hope you can see in the picture. I've tried to image with and without light. Works. The wiring seems replaces but old. The brass fitting that the bulb goes into also appears to be newer that the lamp. This nice period lamp dates ca. 1900-1915 and manufactured in an era when they could be“wired” for either gas or electricity. It measures 24” tall(16” to the top of the socket) and sports an original 8” x 35” square shade having solid brass riveted frame with steel under structure. The textured opalescent slag glass is all original with no cracks. But a tiny corner loss as photographed. The base is brass plated cast iron with minor rust and it is very dirty and attic fresh. The owner thought it should be re-wired for sale, so that has been done. We have also been told that the lamp could be Italian or even Spanish. What is certain is that the lamp is one beautiful piece of functional art! Antique Art Deco Bronze Woman Lamp with Marble Base and Art Glass Shade
This lamp has been sitting in my grandmother's home ever since purchased in the 1930's and has sat in a niche in her stairwell for as long as I can remember. Now I inherited it. Had it rewired. The original cloth wiring was in bad shape. It has its original, very delicate glass shade which is held on by two screws(as seen in pictures) Lamp is fragile and glass is only held on by the two screws. It is in wonderful condition for its age. It was purchased in France and it is French in origin. I have yet to see another one like it. Lamp is 15" tall by 7" wide by 7" deep. UNIQUE Art Deco Nouveau Gothic Figural Sphinx Lion Leaded Slag Glass Lamp Light
Great antique art deco/nouveau figural Egyptian Sphinx(made out of what I believe to be bronze) lamp with an exquisite marbled leaded slag glass multi colored shade. The arm holding the shade rotates from side to side. And I believe it is brass. This piece is in excellent condition, the shade is free from any chips or cracks. The lamp weighs over 6 pounds, it's a very solid heavy piece. There is some wear from age to the arm, and some age to the body of the Sphinx, so please look closely at the pictures. I couldn't find any makers mark, the only signature I could find was the"Leviton" which is the company that makes the wiring. I have looked all over. Old Antique Vintage American Brilliant Cut Glass Art Nouveau Art Deco Lamp
ANTIQUE LAMP AMERICAN BRILLIANT CUT GLASS Found in a local estate auction is this beautiful cut glass lamp with a pointed mushroom shade. It dates to the early 20th century. It measures about 17.5" high. Perfect for a boudoir. It is in good condition, no damage aside from minor fleabite chips around the base edge. The prisms are not all original and one is missing. Some have small chipping. This lamp was so dirty that I thought the metal was brass. I thoroughly cleaned it and found under the grime the metal is silverplate. It has a pull chain socket and takes a c-7 chandelier type bulb. The wiring is not original but is still very old and does work. It has an on/off switch on the cord. All old wiring should be checked for safety before use. The socket is marked Bryant. I could not find any other markings. Use my photos for condition ... moredescription. All items I sell are vintage and most are antique. None are perfect. Please expect general use and wear that all antique. Old or used items have and bid accordingly. Circa 1910.The base is stamped"223" One of the few early pieces with one-socket upright mount, fitter ring holder. Original socket and pull-chain. It is 22" high- top to bottom of the base, with shade is at 19" wide and 7" high. Beautiful light amber/caramel color shade, with the traces of the original metal color overlay made in red. Although unmarked it is probably a Pittsburgh lamp. I was told by another Ebayer that the shade is called a Daffodil cone shade on a Penguin foot base. Both pieces are antique Tiffany replicas. The shade is signed Art Glass Studio. In very fine antique condition with only a couple of cracked glass pieces. In addition. Top screw vent might be sitting a bit high but I am not sure. Richly coloured, curved art glass shade. The eight-panelled shade is"streaky" glass in marbled shades of green. Amber, brown and white in a gilded spelter frame. The lampshade is topped with a large flower-shaped crown. The shade is held in place by a small, round, finial held in place by a threaded mount. The eight border panels are separated by 3/4" wide flat. Gilded centre bars with double raised lines ... moredown the middle. The bars are framed by a raised line on either side. These centre bars are further enhanced by five, raised, extended open rectangles on either side. The border panels along the edge of the shade feature"streaky" glass in shades of purple. Turquoise blue and white. These horizontial rectangular panels have curvilinear frames with fretwork reminiscent of a garden gazebo with leaves. The metal frames are painted with gilt, green and muted shades of brown. The lamp base consists of one long rounded. Four-panelled post that is wider at the bottom than at the top. PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION Up for auction is Vintage Underwriters Laboratories Art Deco style Shell shaped wall light. The base is a green and gold flecked color and is metal. This does work as shown in the pictures. The bulb is not included. There are 2 tiny chips that I can see in the glass shell shade. One is around the bottom part that sits inside the brass metal front where the socket is and the other is on the underside edge of the glass shell. Both of these are not noticable from viewing the front. This measures approx. 9 3/4" high x 10" across at widest point and sticks out from the wall about 5" There is a small blue label on the back that reads: Underwriters Laboratories Inc Protable Lamp Issue NO. BD.18.915. This was an estate sale find and is being sold as found.
