The large upper cabinet has flexible. Movable ... moreshelves and period glass doors. It rests atop a cylinder or roll top desk area with a small drawer and several pigeon holes. The writing surface is covered in black felt and pulls out to provide a larger area. There is a large overhanging drawer as well as two smaller drawers and a cabinet below, for even more storage. All of the drawers have brass pulls and escutcheons and dovetail joints. The lower area is spoon carved in a charming leaf pattern. This piece most likely dates from the late 1800's. This piece is in good condition. But does have some cosmetic flaws, as is to be expected in a piece of this age. Several of the escutcheons are missing as well as the door pulls on the upper cabinet. The drawer pulls are loose as well and one of the escutcheons looks like it has been reattached. There is a piece of wood missing from the molding below the desk top as well. See picture) There is also significant wear to the felted writing surface. No other significant damage or repairs. The entire desk stands about 88" 7'4" tall. It is 36" wide and 24" deep at the largest points. This piece is listed for'local pickup only' We encourage buyers to stop by our 11.000 square foot shop to preview this amazing piece in person. Desk has the Pigeon Hole Slots, Center Door with Carving beneath door that pulls out as a secret drawer. 4 small drawers on each side of center door, the 2 bottom drawers on end are shorter than top drawer and when pulled all the way out there is a wooden track that comes out with a wooden box attached! On either side of the center door each side sides open for 2 more secret drawers and above the pigeon slots the curved wood also on both sides open to secret drawers. Beautiful Antique Secretary Desk Honey Brown Roll Top Desk
Really beautiful desk that we got from an estate sale many years ago paid several hundred dollars for it at the time. It has remained unused and mostly for decorations for the last few years. The chair is a bit rickety and needs some screw tightening but we were able to use it without a problem when we needed to. The desk is in good shape everything needs a bit of oil in the joints but again we were able to use everything in the desk as is. The desk is structurally in perfect condition an absolute beauty and a gem. But*review the pictures for some slight marks from wear and tear* We aren't sure what year the desk was made but it is absolutely beautiful. This handsome antique WALNUT portable Secretary's Box is both a highly collectible and very useful item. It was crafted circa 1880. The burnished wood case opens its doors to reveal a plethora of compartments that were used to organize the business person's work- pens. Seals, stamps, papers. Left drawer closed with metal pin insert. Bottom has drawer that opens. It has lock and key, though does not lock. It can still be used in business or home office in original capacity, or as objet d'art; there are many modern versions, most marketed as portable desk organizers. This antique has the craftsmanship and history to be most desirable. The wood may be a burnished walnut, or possibly, a tropical hardwood. Old fashioned"secretary desk" Cabinet opens into a desk with storage compartments and there are three drawers below. Upper section has three shelves with a caged door for displaying books or decoroative objects. This piece is in fair condition and needs some repairs. The little door in the storage area needs reattachment. One metal arm is disconnected and so the retractable support for the desk on that side does not extend automatically. The wooden tip on the other retractable support needs to be re-glued on. There are some chips. And some discoloration. This piece is ideal for someone that likes to rebuild/refinish. The top part has 2 shelves with the cut ridge for plates, and then you have the bottom to act like shelve, under the slanted top is 6 drawers and 3 filing compartments, inside 1 file looks like spilled ink but not exactly sure, then there's 3 regular drawers on the bottom, also comes with key to lock the top and slanted cover. hand made Italian secretary desk with a cylinder roll shaped door on the desk with a antique key lock the top is a cabinet with 2 doors that have an exceptional inlay design in them the whole unit has many different inlay designs all round it there is no damage to this item it is very beautiful. it is 93.5' tall and the top of the unit is 42.5' wide and 11' deep the bottom is 46' wide and 22' deep it is all one piece and does not come apart the top and bottom are connected please let me know if you have any more questions also shipping is not offered for this item as it is too big must pick up

Beautiful antuique secretary's desk. Completely refinished and painted in a neutral tan shade. Lightly distressed and antiqued to give it an old world look. Sealed with an antique finish to give it a factory feel. The removable inside organizing unit has lots of drawers and cubbies. It has been painted and antiqued in a sage green to slightly off set in from the desk. Unique one of a kind piece. I have painted hundreds of pieces and sold them off line and never had a disappointed customer. Buyer is in charge of paying for freight shipping. This can be arranged by either you or me. Antique Secretary desk with ball and claw feet. Solid brass hardware, key locks on cabinet and secretary desk foldout. In the cubby holes, there are two hidden drawers that can be pulled out. It has ball and claw feet and the original pulls. Front inlaid cover and serpentine drawers, lattice work doors, fully intact, circa 1940's. In great shape. Has not been retouched or refinished, original patina and natural non-excessive wear and tear. Beautiful piece that we inherited, but just does not fit with our modern decor. Super COOL! Vintage Typewriter Desk. SOLID WOOD. This has Three drawers to the right of the unit. Top draw has wooden separators for papers and such. Above this drawer is a pull out shelf for writing on. Has the original hardware on all the drawers. When the top drawer is shut it locks all three drawers.
