There are brass accents and a lock mechanism. But no key. The sloped writing desk still contains the original wood pen holder(7 1/2" long, 2" wide and 3/4" tall) and the glass powder jar with cover(1" tall and 1 1/2" wide) There are bits of wood veneer missing on the top and corners.
