We are so pleased to be offering this gorgeous and simply stunning unbelievable 100 percent tiger sawn oak raised panel swing-side lawyer’s roll top desk with carved handles and carved pulls. Dating from the 1890s era. It is in complete restored condition and all set to go in the home. We take a lot of pride in doing up our antiques nicely, and we certainly went all out here, with our head refinisher Norm doing a job of unbelievable quality on this desk. It has a tiger sawn writing surface in the center, which had to be glued back down as most desks of this age. We also had to re-glue everything, reinforce the roll, sand, strip, stain, and apply multiple coats of sealer and satin sheen lacquer on this hard-to-find 66-inch-wide roll-top desk by the Derby Desk Company of Boston, Mass. If you’ve been looking for a roll-top, and you’d like one to brag about, this one gives you all the bragging rights you’ll ever need. Look at the carved handles, which are much better than normal, and how thick the top and swing sides and writing surface are. Everything on this piece is much better quality than the average desk. This Attractive writing desk is made out of solid wood, and it has a Victorian style medium/dark red/brown stain finish color that makes it look like Mahogany but it is definitely a hard wood that looks more like OAK to me. There is a slight curve to the front to the drawer sides which adds a very nice flair. The top is solid wood, not veneer. It is in it’s original condition so there are scratches on the desktop due to normal everyday wear. There is a Decorative edge that has been added to the edge of the top that may not have been original. In My Opinion this desk is in excellent condition other than the top which I would grade very good. LOOK At My Photos and make your own decision. This listing offers the child's roll top desk. Since I'm uncertain of the age. I won't mislead anyone. I was told it was late 19th century, but again, please judge from the pictures. It's all there. The supports are just under a foot in length when fully opened. There is a number"94" stamped on one leg. Pivots show a bit of wear. But they are the real deal. The piece appears to have been painted at some time in the dim past, and residual paint is present on everything. Hinges are plain metal. Great for a period correct restoration. So. Antique Old School Desk for Student Wooden Seat Metal Frame Vintage Industrial
Up for Auction is my Antique Child's School Desk. The frame is made of tubular steel and angle iron with curved out Maple wood seat and swivel upper lumbar support. Great Patina on this unit. This desk also has an additional under seat metal storage for books. The chair is 27 inches tall with the seat being 13 x 14inches. The side box measures 12 x 12 x 6.5 inches. No maker's mark. The Condition is Used. Someone went crazy scratching the pencil rest area on top of the desk. There is also some cream paint droplets. Not scuff or chips on the wood. To me it shows the age. The wear and tear in which this little seat went through ~ which is something that I love. It would make a great restoration project.but I would keep it original. Antique Lion Duplicator Silk Screen Oil Set - Vintage
This is a Lion Duplicator oil ink silk screen set. I think this is also called a replicator or menucator; this is how they made copies back in the day. It looks like everything is in working order and it still has some of the original ink. This wood is in great condition and all of the hinges and metal/brass parts seem to be in good condition. I'm not sure how it works. But it seems that you would use some type of blotting paper to replicate documents; kind of an old-school copy machine or printer. I have cleaned this box and the kit since I took the pictures and it looks a lot better, the color/richness of the wood is brighter than what the pictures show(kind of looks greyish, more vivid color in real life) I am listing it at $180 and open to decent offers. For sale is a very nice classic antique roll top desk. This desk is in excellent shape and all original. It is quarter sawn white oak and measures 65.5 across x 35.5 inches deep- uncommonly large for a vintage roll top desk. It stands 51 inches tall with the superstructure in place. I purchased the desk from an antique store in Pueblo. Colorado about 10 years ago and was told that it came from an attorney's office from Westcliffe, CO. I am no antique expert and can't estimate the age- only clue is the lock hardware that states a patent date of December 1884 and inscribed with"Corbin Cabin Lock Co. We are converting our home office into a bedroom and no longer need it. I have kept it regularly moisturized with Howard Feed-N-Wax wood preserver. All drawers are original and appear to have never been repaired or altered. The roll ... moretop is in excellent shape including the underside material and rolls smoothly to close and locks securely. Mail slots on each side(for after hours mail delivery if desk is closed and locked) see photos. Keys are included. The lap drawer includes 8 compartments for easy organization, and the bottom right drawer is a file drawer. It can be disassembled for transport or storage. Antique Vintage Roll Top Tambour Desk with Chair.
An older an HEAVY rolltop desk. The rough measurements are 5ft by 2/12ft by 4ft. Some chips on the corners but overall in great condition. Has a lock and key for one of the drawers and a lock for the roll top part. I dont have the key for that lock so I took it off but it comes with the desk. This is a great little wood writing desk or lap desk with pencil holders on the top. It measures 11-1/2" by 9-1/2" by 2" There was some cloth inside at one time but it's mostly gone now. Easily removed if you want to clean up the inside. It's a nice dark wood. In very good condition but the lid is a tiny bit warped so it sticks while opening. Great little display piece. Beautiful Vintage/Antique Wood Student Desk
This is a beautiful vintage/ antique wooden student desk. I bought this years ago at an antique shop. My children loved to take turns sitting at this desk doing their homework or playing school. This is a very heavy wood desk. There are no stickers or tags on the desk showing the make or age of the desk. There is a drawer under the seat. In the drawer is a lip for pencils to sit in. It is a nice deep drawer and slides in and out very nicely. The surface of the desk actually raises to become a drawing type board desk. There is a very heavy duty metal mechanical unit that supports this movement. I think a piece may be missing that holds the desk surface upright. This is an Antique Oak"S" Roll Top Desk with raised panels that has been beautifully restored. This desk is from my Grandparents home as I can not ever remember not seeing it there and I am almost 50 years old. I do not have a maker on this desk but have to believe that it is from the early 1900's. I would love to display this in my home. But my home will not accommodate it. It is 54 inches long. 3 feet wide and 4 foot tall. It is Oak and it has 4 drawers on the left hand side and 3 drawers on the right hand side. There is a brass plate in which to lock the desk. But I do not have a key for it. The colors and details are beautiful. With it being so old. There are some imperfections as you can see. On the left hand pull out there are little holes in the wood. Not sure if they were put there by someone or if something happened ... moreto the wood. On the back there is a knick of wood missing as you can see in the picture. Two of the drawers bottoms have been replaced and two of the drawers have what looks like as stains, but it does not get on anything. Antique/Vintage Ball and Claw Drop Leaf Desk
Drop leaf desk has 4 ball and claw feet. Not just 2. Three large drawers with mini drawers inside the desk. I'm estimating that it is vintage 1940's or so when my grandparents would have bought it. It has been well used over the years and has many scrapes. It needs refinishing! There. I said it! However. It has very good bones, and is very sturdy and stable, with nothing jiggling. It is also very comfortable to sit at and to use. It is missing the small left pin that holds the drop leaf in place. If I can get to Home Depot. I'll try and get a new pin to fit. Vintage Antique Solid Oak Navy Machinist's Standing Desk
This is an old solid oak standing desk workbench taken from off a Navy ship. It was used by a machinist. There is a center drawer that pulls out with a tightly woven heavy cotton cloth base that was used to catch the little parts as the machinist was repairing.whatever needed repair. There is a lip around three sides to prevent items from falling off. Two top drawers. Three smaller drawers on either side. Wonderful carved legs. An awesome piece.
