A great place for your kid to do homework or as a display piece. The desk was made in late 1950's or early 1960s which makes it at least 50 years old. And with proper care, it will last another 50 years to be handed down generations. Here is a vintage School Desk for little tots. Kindergarten. Pre-School, 1st Grade. I believe this is from the 40's or 50's. I was going to do a fancy restoration on it, but I consistently get side-tracked. Perhaps you would like to undertake a restoration. All parts of this desk are in solid condition. It could use some paint. The Maple Plywood seat needs re-finishing, and a solid top to replace the Manufactured top would be nice. That project is for you or another. Antique Old School Desk for Student Wooden Seat Metal Frame Vintage Industrial
Up for Auction is my Antique Child's School Desk. The frame is made of tubular steel and angle iron with curved out Maple wood seat and swivel upper lumbar support. Great Patina on this unit. This desk also has an additional under seat metal storage for books. The chair is 27 inches tall with the seat being 13 x 14inches. The side box measures 12 x 12 x 6.5 inches. No maker's mark. The Condition is Used. Someone went crazy scratching the pencil rest area on top of the desk. There is also some cream paint droplets. Not scuff or chips on the wood. To me it shows the age. The wear and tear in which this little seat went through ~ which is something that I love. It would make a great restoration project.but I would keep it original.
