It is Victorian with burl walnut panels and hand ... morecarved crest. It has picture frame molding around the drawers and panels. It came in from storage with nicks, dings and scratches. One piece of molding is missing on one of the drawers and there is a slight cup to one of the drawers. Overall, it is a good sturdy desk dating from the 1870s. It has carved handles on all the drawers. The left hand side has 4 drawers and 3 drawers on the right hand side, one of which is a deep file cabinet drawer. The size of the drawers are 11 inches wide, 25 inches deep, 4 inches tall, the bottom drawer on the right is 10 inches tall. This is a good candidate for refinishing. The writing surface pulls out and shows felt that is worn out.

This listing offers the child's roll top desk. Since I'm uncertain of the age. I won't mislead anyone. I was told it was late 19th century, but again, please judge from the pictures. This desk was built by Standard Furniture Company. Herkimer NY. The dimensions are: 50" wide, 32" deep, 43.5" tall. As far as I can tell, everything is original and the desk is in very good condition. The lock on the roll top bears the name Standard and still has the original key. The center drawer has a label inside it indicating that the desk is walnut and was built by Standard Furniture Co. The center drawer also has the remnants of the Standard Furniture Company's official seal, with an eagle in the center. Some of the walnut veneer has come off, especially on the lower legs and on the front left side of the roll top frame. I will not ship the desk. You must pick it up in Plymouth. Michigan 48170.

For sale is a very nice classic antique roll top desk. This desk is in excellent shape and all original. It is quarter sawn white oak and measures 65.5 across x 35.5 inches deep- uncommonly large for a vintage roll top desk. It stands 51 inches tall with the superstructure in place. I purchased the desk from an antique store in Pueblo. Colorado about 10 years ago and was told that it came from an attorney's office from Westcliffe, CO. I am no antique expert and can't estimate the age- only clue is the lock hardware that states a patent date of December 1884 and inscribed with"Corbin Cabin Lock Co. We are converting our home office into a bedroom and no longer need it. I have kept it regularly moisturized with Howard Feed-N-Wax wood preserver. An older an HEAVY rolltop desk. The rough measurements are 5ft by 2/12ft by 4ft. Some chips on the corners but overall in great condition. This is an Antique Oak"S" Roll Top Desk with raised panels that has been beautifully restored. This desk is from my Grandparents home as I can not ever remember not seeing it there and I am almost 50 years old. I do not have a maker on this desk but have to believe that it is from the early 1900's. I would love to display this in my home. But my home will not accommodate it. It is 54 inches long. 3 feet wide and 4 foot tall. It is Oak and it has 4 drawers on the left hand side and 3 drawers on the right hand side. There is a brass plate in which to lock the desk. But I do not have a key for it. The colors and details are beautiful. With it being so old. There are some imperfections as you can see. On the left hand pull out there are little holes in the wood. Not sure if they were put there by someone or if something happened ... moreto the wood. On the back there is a knick of wood missing as you can see in the picture. Really beautiful desk that we got from an estate sale many years ago paid several hundred dollars for it at the time. It has remained unused and mostly for decorations for the last few years. The chair is a bit rickety and needs some screw tightening but we were able to use it without a problem when we needed to. The desk is in good shape everything needs a bit of oil in the joints but again we were able to use everything in the desk as is. The desk is structurally in perfect condition an absolute beauty and a gem. But*review the pictures for some slight marks from wear and tear* We aren't sure what year the desk was made but it is absolutely beautiful. This is a fantastic Antique Angus roll top desk with original lock& key. 8 drawers and great little cabinet cubbies for all your letters. Pens& stuff. THIS IS PICK-UP ONLY: WILL NOT DELIVER/ SHIP. It does have a couple of little issues. 1) it needs a good cleaning(my back is blown out and i just can't do all the bending needed) or refinishing. 2) it is missing 3 small thin pieces of wood to replace 2 end"little cabinet doors" and 1 piece for holding up the left pen drawer. All are shown in the pictures. This is really nicely made. All dove tail, super solid, has original lock and all drawers lock as should when closed. I have not cleaned this in years. Roll Top works fine. Locking mechanism in the top, but open where it fits in. Small cubbies& 2 drawers in the top area. 2 pull out pieces, 3 larger drawers& a cupboard. This area looks like the base has been replaced& doesn't have a handle. Just the hole where a lock? used to be. Approx 44" wide x 30" deep. Height to top 43" 30" high to writing area. ANTIQUE "CHIPPENDALE" STYLE ROLL TOP DESK
I am NOT an antique dealer. This beautiful desk has been in the family for at least 40 years. I have been told by an antique dealer that the desk is Chippendale style. Northern European, circa 1880-1900. Based on some old accounting books that are still in one of the drawers it was in Amsterdam in 1950. Most likely made of pine(which was most common during that period) Interior door front possibly made of birch wood. One of the little cupboards inside the roll top looks to be warped a little. see photo) This is a beautiful desk even unrestored. If you would like me to take any other photos just email me.

Antique 5' wide Oak Roll Top Desk and leather upholstered swivel oak chair
Lovely Oak Roll Top Desk with Oak Chair with leather upholstery. You can tell from the photos there are some scratches and wear on the leather seat of the chair. The cloth underneath the roll top part is starting to show signs of wear and could be developing a split on the left side. The desk comes apart into pieces for moving. Have owned for 25 years and used daily. Photos taken with and without flash to show off the warm oak colors. Photos of the chair upholstery also shown with and without flash so you can see the brown color in both lights. Desk and chair both have excellent finishes so no re-finishing necessary.
