This fabulous item is an antique student lamp/ desk lamp. This is an original not a reproduction. Vintage condition. this lamp has patina. Color changes in the metal appropriate with its age, no dents. Glass globe and clear shade in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. This lamp is electric and works terrific. Long brown electric cord 85 in. long. no makers marks. The brass compartment can unscrew. It can also be a"secret compartment" to store small things. Gorgeous ribbed green glass globe. White inside. A clear glass shade fits into the lamp. Estate sale find. I haven't cleaned this lamp. I will partially disassemble it for safe shipping. Antique Arts Crafts Art Glass Green Slag Mission Table Lamp Brass Iron Rivets
This nice period lamp dates ca. 1900-1915 and manufactured in an era when they could be“wired” for either gas or electricity. It measures 24” tall(16” to the top of the socket) and sports an original 8” x 35” square shade having solid brass riveted frame with steel under structure. The textured opalescent slag glass is all original with no cracks. But a tiny corner loss as photographed. The base is brass plated cast iron with minor rust and it is very dirty and attic fresh. The owner thought it should be re-wired for sale, so that has been done. Features Houze Sage Green Slag Glass embellishments on this great old lamp. Early 1900's lamp. Perfect Condition. Shade has a pinkish interior. I can't say for sure the shade dates as old as the lamp. But it is an old shade. Has an old Fat boy socket in it; I've turned it on and off 25-30 times; works great. Should probably have no more than a 60 watt bulb, though in the old days, they regularly installed 100 waters. Designed as a task light, mainly for reading in the parlor. 56 1/2" tall. Lamp will be disassembled for shipment. Not hard to reassemble at all.

We have 6 listed this week.My Great Uncle owned a lamp shop in DC for almost 50 years. From the late 30's until the early 80's. The lamps we have listed this week came from his estate. My aunt, his daughter, recently passed away and we took these parts from her attic. Her Dad had strung these parts in order on a piece of wire and had them hanging in his shop. After he passed my aunt brought them home and hung them in her attic. About 10 years ago she gave us a strand of these parts. We found a threaded pole here on ebay and took the pieces ... moreoff of the wire, sliding them down the pole in the order they came off of the wire and we have had a beautiful slag glass floor lamp ever since. My aunt has recently passed away and these parts came from her attic.This one has what looks to me to be a green vaseline type glass incorporated into its design one of which has chips as shown but the others are fine. The cast iron base and steel parts had been stripped of their paint and or plating years ago and they got rusty so I took my wire wheel and went over them but you'll still need to brush them again before painting however most of the prep work is done. The base is really rusty on the under side but I cleaned the threads up and they look fine. There are 2 matching brass tubes. I polished a small area of one of the tubes so you can see what they'll look like once cleaned up. I do not have any sockets and of course the pole is missing too but the threads in the base look fine. I laid these parts out in a line on the floor and as far as I can tell there are enough to make about a 54" tall lamp. Rod is not included. Thank you for viewing. This item is a Depression Era Green Uranium Vaseline and Jadeite Boudoir Table lamp that works. The Lamp Measures 8" The Base is 4 1/2" wide and has eight 1/2" legs. The Base glows under a black light and is Uranium/Vaseline Glass. The Lamps body is ball shaped with vertical lines in green frosted glass resembling Jeannette Glass Pattern Adam. I can only find one mold line. It has a slight chip where the ring is at the bottom which you have to look hard to find. It does work! The cord is 78" long. This is a Great Old Green Slag Glass Table Lamp Shade in very good condition! It is an 8 Panel shade and all the glass is damage free it also has all it's little tabs. I see no makers marks so I do not know who made the shade or it's age my best guess is 1940s but it could be earlier. It looks to be very well made. There are a few small areas of finish loss but 99% of the original finish seems to be there. The shade from panel to panel is 17 1/2" and the shade weighs 7.10 pounds. Thank you for your interest! The best I can make out is Plux. You can tell the light socket part is new& the plug at the end of the cord is new. It is in excellent shape and a beautiful lamp. For sale is a classic Unique Company leaded glass lamp. This exact lamp base with the Saturn socket cluster(photos 3-4) and patina is shown in Paul Crists's book"Mosaic Shades II" at p. 47. As you can see in photos 3-7. This base exhibits Unique's varigated green-brown patina. According to Paul Crist, in"Mosaic Shades II" at p. 48, The most attractive examples[of this base] are in a varigrated green-brown patina over copper plate which is virtually identical to Tiffany's famous finish- an achievement that speaks to the experience and professionalism of Unique's manufactory. Photos 3 and 7 are the best representation of the actual color of this lamp base. This Unique lamp base stands 23 inches tall. The bottom of the base is 8 inches in diameter and has Unique's classic counterweight. The base has three ... moresockets with matching 8.5 inch long acorn pulls. Two of the sockets are the early Hubbell sockets with the raised letters"HUBBELL" on the socket shell. These sockets have their original porcelain inserts(photo 6) and mica insulators. At some time in the distant past. The third socket was replaced and the socket shell patinated green and black. I cannot tell the manufacturer of the socket shell as there is a lot of coating on the outside. However. I did replace the interior of that socket with a next generation Hubbell porcelain. All three sockets click crisply and function properly. The lamp has been completely rewired. You can have the old wiring if you want it. The electrical cord has been replaced with a black rayon(cloth) covered cord that is period appropriate. The lamp retains its original black Bakelite plug. see photo 11) The shade is 17 inches in diameter and 9 inches deep. It is unsigned but has has Unique's periwinkle pattern. Variations of the periwinkle shade are shown in Mosaic Shades II at p. 74. All of the glass in the shade is intact with no breaks or missing pieces. Up for your consideration is an antique floor lamp– 64” tall with a 22” diameter green slag glass shade in excellent condition. No cracks or breaks. The wood pole is a substantial piece– 12-1/2” diameter solid base maple base with a hole in the center for wiring. The pole section of the lamp has a bottom dimeter of 5” and tapers slowly to a 2-3/4” diameter at the top. It is an uncommon heavy base that easily supports the large glass shade. This lamp is in preowned condition and does show slight signs of age but over all it is in beautiful condition with the exception of one panel being cracked from the top to bottom. The crack took me a while to see but it is present yet the slag glass is holding inside the metal casting perfectly fine. The ... morerest of the lamp is in spectacular condition with not other flaws and a beautiful light patina showing through parts of the metal. Lamp is signed on the underside of the base. Base is heavy cast iron with a brass stem and cast iron metal holding the slag glass panels. Overlay metal work on the shade has a nice hammered aged look to it with some dust present and light surface scratches yet I think that is from production and not actu al scratches. The base is etched with a very nice leaf/floral design cut deep in to the cast iron. Also included with the lamp is an old 8 foot extension cord that match's the lamp's cord. Gorgeous Antique Stained Glass Table Lamp ~ dates early Mid Century ~ Beautiful green colored stained glass shade that has river-glass texture on the inside- each alternating lighter-cream colored mint-green glass tear-drop panels has honey colored stains that are all sauntered with a decorative leaf-style with what I believe is brass leading. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PHOTOS~ This lamp has a mint green ceramic base with a brass metal base that measures about 4" squared. There is an ornate white bird appliqued on ceramic base~ Very lovely! On underside of metal(brass) base is marked DAV ART and according to my research the base maybe a Lenox ceramic and someone placed this lovely Tiffany-style stain glass shade on it. Offered as is. This small Antique Table Lamp is in working order and stands 19" tall. Antique Arts & Crafts Lamp Brass & Green Slag Glass Heart Design
This lovely lamp is an old one. It stands 21" tall. The brass base is 6" square. Bottom of shade is 12" and top is 4" across. Notice the heart pattern. Very desirable, is at the top of each side. Shade has 6 panels of gorgeous swirled green to turquoise to purple slag glass. It has been updated with a 3 way switch. Cord is good. Lamp loos like it has been dropped as on one side the brass is bent some. It isn't something you are going to notice unless you are looking for it. But it is certainly there. The shade has 2 cracked panels. One of them you don't see at all as the brass covers it. The other has a straight line crack all the way up that is visible and 2 other ones going in the opposite direction that are behind the brass. I would say they have been there for many years. Possibly from when it was dropped! ... moreI know you can find replacement panels, but as long as you set this in one place and leave it, I don't think the cracked panels will be an issue at all. This is another one of those pieces that will be MINE if it doesn't sell pretty fast! I just got a new mission style sideboard and the lamp is perfect for it. A very special lamp. ROSES Spray decal is shown on all three sides at the corner of each panel and the ROSES Spray is carried up towards the top and is accented in gold trim. The backside shows a round metal plate that slides to the right or left so the bulb can be changed out. The Shade is original and is not metal but a heavy cardboard. Four ball feet rest under the base of the Lamp. Quite a unique and SCARCE Lamp and beautifully done. The bulb in the base flickers to give a true lantern feel. ANTIQUE HANDEL LILY PAD DESK LAMP; RARE YELLOW GREEN SLAG GLASS; DUFFNER ERA
For sale is a beautiful documented Handel lily lamp as shown in pictures 1-12. This lamp is relatively rare in that its glass color is not Handel's standard dark green. Rather. It is a lighter striated yellow green. Also the base metal and the metal holding the petals has a lighter golden brown patina that is more in keeping with the muted colors of the glass. The true patina color is shown in natural sun light in photo 3. The true color of the glass is shown in natural light in photos 2& 3. Although the base and shade are unsigned. This lighter colored variation of Handel's lily lamp is pictured(documented) in"The Handel Lamp Book" by Hibel. Hibel& Fontaine at page 30 at the top right. It is also documented at the site leadedlamps.com under Handel lamps. The lily pad base of these lamps were made of cast iron and ... morethus much more difficult to emboss with the Handel mark than the softer pot metal table lamps. Hence, most of these lily pad bottoms had weak lettering(a couple of letters) to no impressions at all. The lamp has been rewired with a period appropriate brown cloth cord that has been spliced at the bottom. See photos 9& 10. The lamp has its original bakelight plug. photo 8) The socket has a GE paddle. Photo 12. The socket works perfectly. The socket shell is spot welded closed at two spots. You can see one of them in photo 2. The shade is 4 inches long from back to front tip(i.e. The front to back diameter) The shade's side to side diameter is 4 1/2 inches wide. The shades front opening is 2 1/4 inches in diameter. It takes one of the narrow pointed bulbs. Unfortunately. The lamp has one panel of glass missing. Fortunately, it is in the least conspicuous spot. The underside. The framing for the petal is still intact. The missing piece can only be noticed by viewing the lamp from the back side(photo 11) or from the underside(photo 12) Because of Handel's overlapping petal pattern, the loss is barely noticable. The shade frame is spelter, with a bronzed toned finish. c1920's Lamp is in working condition. Has a double socket, 1 of which is original and the other has been replaced. This also has been re-wired sometime in the past. But as with any old electric item it should be checked out by an Electrician before using. 1 of the bent glass panels has a crack(see photos) Has been glued. 1 of the small side panels also has a crack. I purchased this nearly a year ago at an extremely high-end estate auction in Southeast Kansas. Item was made more than likely by Kralik. Though Loetz is also a possibility. The item is unmarked, as most Kralik pieces are. The item doesn't appear to be iridescent- it does not radiate under a blacklight. Item measures 4" tall. 9" wide, and has a 6-1/2" opening diameter on the base. The glass has wavy green threading throughout the piece as pictured and is an excellent example of high-end glassmaking. CONDITION: Item has four tiny flea bites on the underside rim where it connects to the base of a lamp. The largest measures less than ... more1/4" It is common to see fractures or chips in the mounting location. This is the only area on the entire lamp showing any wear. The lamp is in perfect condition otherwise- no chips. Cracks or flea bites and no missing parts of threading.
