This is an old antique 1920s era gold gilt brass with white enamel highlights bedroom lamp with lavender. Pink and yellow porcelain china floral roses. The lamp is 11 1/4" by 9" with a 4 1/2" by 4 1/2" base. The gold finish is nice. The lamp has its old original cord and is missing its lamp shade. The pink rose back top petal has a chip. NO RESERVE! Very fine and very well made hanging light fixture circa 1930s and possibly French in origin. Unmarked that we could find. We have also been told that the lamp could be Italian or even Spanish. What is certain is that the lamp is one beautiful piece of functional art! It is comprised of bronze, painted white cast metal, brass and a woven basket of wire forming the inner portion. Attached to the wire frame are numerous mold-blown multi-colored glass flowers and all are accounted for. They each glow nicely once illuminated and you can add a dimmer switch for a softer mood lighting effect. The overall condition is very good and the lamp is ready for use. Degué Wonderful french art deco lamp in wrought iron. Around 1926-1936, with a glass paste shade in beautiful coloured mothled glass signed Degué. Being the company of David Guéron. From Jewish Turkish origin he came to France to join the foreign legion. Seduced by the modern art déco movement in the early 30ies he set up his own glasscompany attracting craftsmen from the Schneider company producing vases and shades for lighting 1926 onwards. Like most glass makers and lighting factories the Degué company did not survive the financial crisis of the 30ies. Production stopped in 1936 and the plant finaly closed down in 1939. Gorgeous antique French Barbola Floor Lamp! This is a truly magnificent antique floor lamp. A very fine example. Wonderful original condition. The lamp works great also. This ornate antique lamp is beautifully detailed. 3 curly horn rams heads. With swags of fruit, are nicely hand painted with wonderful colors and detail. The nice brass sockets. Fittings, and finial, are all in beautiful condition, with warm patina. Deeply carved scrolls. Flutes, and acanthus leaves are all trimmed with gold. The green medallions on the base are carefully painted to resemble stone or jade. This is in very good condition. No cracks. No major chips, just very acceptable minor signs of age and use. It is mounted on a very ornate brass stand and dates from around the late 19th century(Napoleon III period) The'Kosmos' burner was produced by Wild& Wessel. A German manufacturer, between 1865 and 1899. The reservoir hasn't been tested and if you are likely to use this as an oil lamp, I strongly advise you to check that it doesn't leak before lighting it. The actual screw mechanism works well and is running freely; it is not showing any signs of blockage. It does not have its glass funnel although these are fairly easy to come by. There is a tiny bit of rust underneath the brass stand(see photos) ... moreThe pattern has been transfer printed onto the ceramic body and has then been hand coloured and then glazed. There is the same design on both sides of the lamp depicting cherubs/angels/putti/amours with a woodland floral theme. We are pleased to offer this GORGEOUS. Old, antique French converted oil lamp. The lamp is exceptional. Designed in the same manner as other French oil lamps of this period(late 1800s) this beauty is set apart by the fantastic color pattern. The lamp has a long center column of pink marble with lots of intricate and colorful veins. The marble ranges from a true pink with peach, deep plum and white veins. The glass oil reservoir is satin frost with raised, embossed leaves that rise from the bottom section of the bowl. There are three, large Iris flowers which circle the vessel. Each flower is a different color. There is a peach flower, a purple flower and a deep rose colored flower. The flower colors are not a reverse paint, but rather an opaque, stained effect color. This is a beautiful feature. The marble and glass are coupled with ornate ... morebronze hardware. The base features four, clawed, acanthus leaf feet that are formed into a fleur de lis as they move up the base. There is an intricate pattern of draped swags which join to form hearts or spades. Inside the hearts/spades are acanthus features. There are also Gothic/Celtic crosses which separate the patterns on the upper base section. Just above the base, at the lower column section, is a bronze torch"flame" The marble rests inside. A column cap finishes the marble column at the top. This is an exceptional, RARE lamp. Antique French newel post lamp Heroic female figure in spelter with a brass foliate circle both with attractive bronze patinantion and two sockets with copper plated iron cups Signed A Rucho on the base and marked Made in France dating from around 1910 It is currently wired for a newel post with no cord. Large Figural Silver French Art Nouveau Victorian Newel Table Lamp Jewel Shades
Offered for your consideration is a fine silvered metal newel or table lamp formed by an art nouveau lady in a dramatic pose atop a graduated black marble plinth. I suspect that the base metal is spelter. Due to the weight, but perhaps it's pewter. The lamp is about 40" high by 18" wide and has three attached hammered silver shades with crimson red jeweled medallions at the tops and beautiful beaded fringe around the lower rims composed of a mixture of clear and red beads. The shades are suspended from typically Jugendstil whiplash floral sprays. The piece is in remarkably good condition; I see no evidence of cracks or repairs. The beaded fringe on the shades is completely intact, with no missing strands I can see. The silver plating is still very presentable, although of course there are some signs of wear, likely the result ... moreof a century of cleaning& polishing by previous owners. I have not polished the lamp in the years I've owned it, as I liked the patina. The pictures make the lamp appear slightly more golden than it looks in person. That is probably because the reflective surface is picking up the color from the wallpaper and carpeting in the rooms where I took the pictures. The wiring was updated/replaced at some point and is fine, as-is. I have been using it without fear or problems. If you are the winning bidder. I want you to be thrilled with the purchase. This french lamp depicts a nude cherub holding a torchiere. It is made from solid plaster with a gold gilt finish and has a marble base. It originally had a european electrical cord that needed replacing. So it has been recently converted with a new australian electrical cord ... morewith an easy on/off switch placed on the cord. ANTIQUE FRENCH ELITE LIMOGES OIL LAMP Up for auction is a great late Victorian French Limoges style hand painted oil lamp. The lamp is well marked on the bottom. Its in very nice condition, the lamp stands 13 inches high. There are no chips or cracks in the body. It doesn't have a glass lamp with it. But I believe I have one if interested. Date: Around 1930 +/ Materials: This outstanding table lamp is made out of chrome-plated metal and equipped with a thick-walled lampshade. Made out of opalescent glass. The lampshade is all around adorned with icicles- to achieve a bigger contrast the icicles are clear polished while the rest of the lampshade shows a frosted surface. The metal parts are all hold in a strict geometrical design like it is typical for the french Art deco design. Measurements: The total height of the table lamp is 18.1" 46 cm) The lamp stand has a diameter of 6.3" 16 cm) The lampshade only has a height of 3.9" 10 cm) and a max. diameter of 7.1" 18 cm) Condition: The entire table lamp is in excellent. Used condition. The lampshade ... moreshows no damages. The chromium-plate has preserved its brightness. The iron core below the stand shows some traces of rust. The electric was renewed with a silk-coated cable like they were used at this period. The light switch is still original. The electric is in full working order, but must be inspected by a qualified electrician before use. This is an authentic table lamp from the french Art deco period. No copy!
