I have up for sale a wonderful vintage circa 1910-1920s signed H A BEST LAMP CO Chicago. Ill USA lamp base- originally meant for a slag glass lamp. The ring diameter for the ring fitter would be approx 2-3/4" diameter. The lamp is very ornate and has the original antique gold finish. It stands approx 22" no including the finial which may or may not be the original but looks good together. It is in Very Good to Excellent Condition- No damages but a few minor manufacturing mold imperfections- a few small inclusions- basically what you see in pic#2- maybe a couple more but nothing thats any real big deal. No chips. No cracks, No repairs, its as it was from the factory. I am unsure if the sockets are original or not- The top caps have a bright yellowish tint but the bottoms look correct- I am not sure just pointing out what I see. ANTIQUE SLAG GLASS OR REVERSE PAINTED BRONZE TABLE LAMP BASE WITH DOUBLE SOCKET
No manufacturing marks found. Two tone bronze patinas. Base is yellow bronze casting the upper classical urn body is a dark liver patina. I took the base apart looking for identifying larks and showed interior in photos. Light sockets work with original wiring and toggles. this is a slag lamp base from the 1920's sturdy enough to hold a very large slag glass canapy. Only one defect is minor dent in the shadows of side that I backlighted to exaggerate for you to see better. It is not noticable. Found in North Crown Heights. Brooklyn Historic district.

The porcelain has an array of pink, yellow& blue flowers on a white base, with gold trim decorations and small cut outs. I replaced the electrical. But not the cord. This is really a fabulous Pairpoint table or parlor lamp. Expertly reverse painted on a Berkeley style shade and signed by the artist W. Macy(this artist is specifically mentioned in Malakoff's book) Large heavy shade depicting a forest of old beautiful trees(oak I believe) accenting the heavy trunk and limbs. The almost exact shade may be seen on p. 129 of Malakoff's book. Supported on a traditional Grecian urn base in bronze. Both shade and base signed by the Pairpoint Manufacturing company. This is a Vintage Tole Mustard Yellow& Gray Painted Double Shade Table/Desk Lamp. The Lamp is 20 5/8" Tall at the Tallest Point and the Bottom Base measures 5 1/4" Across. The Lamp is 14 1/2" Wide. The Shades are 4 1/4" Tall. The Shades measure 7 1/8" Across the Bottom and 2 3/4" Across the Top of the Shade. The Paint on the Lamp has been colored and written on and has rust. ANTIQUE ARTS AND CRAFTS NAUTICAL BRASS TABLE LAMP HAND PAINTED TOLE SHADE
Offering this quite nice and unique Antique Arts and Crafts Era Brass and Tin Table Lamp with Urn shape Handles and Bryant Electric Fixtures dated 1907. This high end lamp was expertly made by a Lamp making company of the Arts and Crafts Era. But with no markings on base, we cannot attribute it to a particular company. We have also been unable to find a similar shape and type lamp to compare. The Sailing Ship Silhouette painting is on a heavy tin type metal shade that has a solid brass ships wheel top with original brass finial. The Bryant fixtures are uniquely designed and seem original to the lamp. There are some paint misses on the ship paintings. As seen in photos and the threading on the lamp base at the top is slightly stripped, but seems correctible. The unusually heavy weight of the shade having been removed and replaced on the base ... morelikely caused the stripping damage. No other issues. The lamp is 26 inches to top of finial, and 5 1/2 inches square at the base. The handles are 9 inches across from back edge to back edge. The shade is 8 1/2 inches across at the top and 17 inches across at the bottom. Great and unique Arts and Crafts Era item for the decorator and collector.

Offered is a vintage hand-painted porcelain Rosenthal table lamp. Circa 1958, in good working condition. It is marked Rosenthal Germany Kunstabteilung Selb near the base. The lamp stands 16" high, excluding the socket and harp. The painted details of a flowering tree and snowy mountains are a soft blue, grey and white. There is some gilt trim. The porcelain surface is excellent, with no chips or cracks. The metal base is in good condition. Showing some wear from polishing. The felt on the bottom is torn but present. The lamp does work, but you might consider having it rewired by a professional. A lovely hand-crafted lamp.

This auction is for an EXTREMELY rare vintage table lamp that is completely hand painted. The base is made of wood and it has a brass medallion pressed directly into the wood.
