This hanging ... morelight fixture dates from the 1920's. It is made mostly of brass however some parts are made of cast iron including the chain. Please ote. This lamp is being sold as-found for parts and repair. There are a couple tiny cracks in the fitters as you can see. There is also signs of rust on the thumb screws as well as the chain which would need to be cleaned up. It looks as if someone had started to restore this lamp but never finished. There are new wires as well as new sockets and it is being sold as working. The lamp shades shown in the pictures will be included. The glass lamp shades are free from any chips or cracks. The fitter size is a standard 2 1/4" so most antique lamp shades would fit this lamp. This lamp also comes with the ceiling canopy and the original mounting bracket. The etched EAPG font is in excellent original condition and the Don Juan cameo base has been restored. Pedestal has new white paint and I see one cameo is pronounced and clear while the other is faint and hard to see Don's hat feather. Also I see the narrow section of the pedestal was damage and put back together. I do not know what technic the person used to do this repair and he has passed on now. The Hurricane Lamps are a great size for display and use measuring 10-3/4" tall over or 4" across the base of the Candlesticks and 3-3/4" across the top opening of the shades. The Silver Plated Candlesticjks are in amazing condition, bright, shiny and beautiful. The Glass Shades are also in very find condition with some minor roughness around the bases that are covered by the Candlesticks and one has a tiny crack that is only noticeable upon close inspection. This Auction is for an Antique Victorian. Gone With the Wind, Kerosene Oil Lamp. It measures 19" to the Top of the Antique Frosted and Floral etched Globe Ball Shade. The shade has to small chips to the fitter end that goes into shade holder so it is not visible when on the Lamp.The oil Reservoir is frosted Pressed Glass and the bottom part of the stem with painted Butterfly I Believe is a soft Blue milkglass. The base is footed and chased, etched. The burner is marked and has Patent date on the turn wheel for wick but my eyes are not good enough to make it out. I think this could even be an Art Nouveau Or Aesthetic Movement piece with its floral + nature influence.This is not only a Beautiful Antique Lamp. Up for auction is this rare art nouveau or arts& crafts tall tulip oil lamp shade. Stands approx 250mm. Ten inches tall, and 165mm max diameter. The base fitting is approx 87mm diameter, external, and 78mm internal. It fits a standard 88mm'porte globe' globe carrier found on many Kosmos type lamps, also Wizard and some small Vulkan burners. will also fit the 3&1/2 inch carriers found on some smaller burners. Main body is overall etched. With a 3 x repeated pattern of raised enamelled medallions and droppers in between. The thin green lines are in a very fine paint. Top frill is finished in a very pale' dusty' lime green finish with a slight irridescence to it, to simulate ancient roman glass that has been buried for 2,000 years. There are a couple of chips to the fitter base. And one flat flake to the edge of one frill ... morethat is hard to see, typical from use, worst is pictured. no other chips and NO CRACKS. A what I believe to be Victorian oil lamp. It stands 23" 59cm) and is in good condition for its age. I think the main body is cast. not magnetic) is without damage, and on the inside of the base raised is 1831. The glass font is good with no damage. The burner has Hinks and sons on the side and there is 1 chimney finger missing. Both wicks will rise and fall, and one of the ceramic inserts has the writing worn. Presented for your consideration is this beautiful Victorian oil lamp. It features a diamond quilted font in the style of the Consolidated Lamp& Glass company. I have not identified the pattern-any help appreciated. The cased glass font is shaded green with colorful floral enamel detail. It has a Kosmos burner so perhaps European? The base is cast brass. I don't know if it is original to the lamp but looks very nice. The bottom is marked"L&L 6733" The lamp is topped with an exceptional art glass shade. It is frosted and shaded blue/green to clear with a very special"water lily" etching. The lamp measures 15" to the collar. The shade is 5" high. 7 1/4" across at the top and 2 1/2" at the fitter. RIVIERE GRAPEVINE ETCHED METAL OVERLAY TABLE LAMP, TIFFANY HANDEL B+H ERA
For Auction is an Arts and Crafts style overlay slag glass table lamp made at the turn of the century. I believe this table lamp is made by Riviere Brass& Bronze Works of New York. New York. The table lamp is a nice desk size as it stands 22 1/2" tall to the top crown of the shade and is 18 1/4" diagonal measurement or is 12 3/4" square. The shade is 10" tall sitting on its fitter set-up. The shade has a wonderful Arts + Crafts 4 sided shape with that is made up of Green and Beige Opalescent Glass with a crown. The Deep Green Opalescent top is accented with a radically slumped or bent beige opalescent bottom row of glass. The Construction method is that of brass channel similar to the construction of the Tiffany Studios desk set Items. The bottom slumped row is further embellished with a"Grapevine" etched ... moremetal overlay pattern on top of the glass. The base is a single light and has a 4 sided flat bottom. The shade is supported by the shade holder with 3 screws under the socket locking the shade in place. The shade and base are considered to be in excellent condition. There is no broken or cracked glass and no missing filigree on the shade. The base is also in excellent condition and I put felt on the bottom after I photographed it to protect your furniture. The shade and the base are unsigned. There is a raised area on the base that appears to have a number but I cannot make it out. I have attributed this lamp to have been made by Riviere Studio's based on the construction and the Grapevine overlay. This company was made up of ex Tiffany Studios workers and they copied and made similar items to Tiffany. The Grapevine Pattern was one of them. They made lamps and desk set pieces using this overlay. This lamp has been professionally re-wired with the Antique Style brown rayon cord and it still retains its original lamp plug. Vintage Oil Lamp Conversion, Amber Glass W/ Etched Flowers & Lines, nice L&R
Up for sale is an antique amber glass oil lamp that was converted long ago to a electric lamp. the glass is etched with flowers and vertical etched lines on the 6 paneled lamp. the glass section measures 9 1/4" tall at the tom metal rim that the socket is screwed into. It stands 12 1/2" tall at the edge of the top of the socket. this lamp has a screw in vintage HUBBELL Socket that is not working. It will need to be replaced or rewired. but if your buying it for a oil lamp then it is fine and all you need to do is unscrew the socket and replace it with a lamp head with wick. this lamp itself is in great condition no chips or cracks to the glass the shade is very unusual and is vintage. it has 2 tiny dings that can be scene inside the shade but do not show when displayed. the shade measures 8" tall by 10 1/2" across the ... morebottom opening. I tried to turn it on with 2 different light bulbs and it would not turn on, so the switch is bad or it needs to be rewired. it easily comes apart to work on and can be replaced with a standard socket the fitting will still work. BEAUTIFUL CRYSTAL HURRICANE LAMP This vintage glass lamp has lots of nice decorative detail. Round. Cube and square glass shapes make up the lamp design. The two center glass pieces have floral etching with e tched flowers decorating the four sides of the cube shaped glass. The bobeche is scalloped and holds eight hanging prisms. Chimney is etched to match the round center part of the lamp. Lamp center ball appears to have a very light bluish cast. Lamp measures approx. 15-1/4" high. Condition is good.
