Early 19th century grease lamp complete with it's original adjustable trammel mechnism. Circa 1760-1810. Similiar examples can be seen in the Rushlight Club's book Early Lighting as well as other references on Colonial period metalware and interior furnishings. The bottom pan of the piece would have been filled with grease or oil with a burning rush reed placed into the pan. Additionally a small open pan lamp could be placed on the bottom with the pan acting as a platform. We found a small open pan lamp with the piece thats slightly later(likely mid 19th century) and are including it with this auction. As you can see the piece is complete with it's original ratchinging trammel mechanism. Allowing the user to vary the length of the piece to meet various illumination needs. In it's shortest state the piece measures 29" in length. Expandable to 41" The pan itself measures 6"x 2 3/4" x 3/8" Some slight pitting and oxidation expected from age though overall a very good++/near fine example. Click the images and you'll see great signs of period blacksmith made construction design and original condition. Antique Commercial Tole General Store Coffee Tin/Bin in original deep red paint with black and gold accents. Word COFFEE painted on sliding door with porcelain knob. The painted tin commercial coffee bin dates to 1870- 1910. Original tole coffee bin has not been altered in any manner. 2. The custom made fitted base with dark lamp wire and toggle. This is for super nice vintage black forest carved ceiling lamp that shows a mountain climber repelling on a rope and holding a lantern. It is carved from one piece wood and the climber is dressed in typical Bavarian Hunters outfit and the colors of the wood are light in shades of darker brown with a nice patina. Barsony Era Lamp 2 Little Black Boys
Up for sale is a Barsony era/style lamp. A beautiful lamp base featuring 2 little black boys with one holding a red ball. The front of the base is black and white striped and sides and back are black. The lamp has some general paint missing which you can see in the photos. It is like the paint has just flaked away. There 2 chips on the back of the lamp one on the edge and one on the edge of the hole for the cord. The wiring has been removed but would be easy enough to have rewired. My guess would be it is from the 1960's. It is a beautiful lamp as it is and would look stunning with the right shade. It stands 20cm high and 11 and 1/2 cm wide at its widest point. This listing is for a beautiful banker's style desk lamp with gorgeous black glass shade and black marble and brass base. I believe the marble on the base is real as lamp is very heavy at 4.5 lbs. But the marble on the column feels faux, but I could be wrong. I believe the brass is also real as magnets do not stick to it. Black glass shade is intact and is not broken and it has no chips or cracks. The brass base is tarnished and could use a polishing. I will leave that to the new owner. A black diamond point decorated metal pedestal and a cast iron base. This has a Queen Anne Burner in very good working condition. The clear glass chimney has beading around the top and is also antique showing lots of swirls in the glass. As expected of antique glass, the font and the chimney do glow yellow when under a blacklight. The lamp is good and heavy. Overall weight is 3-lbs. In excellent condition. No chips or cracks to the glass. The brass is clean but not polished, and there is a little wear to the brass around the wide cap at top of the font. Excellent vintage condition 50's or 60's black metal lamp. Lamp works flawlessly. Includes the very hard to find diffuser. Diffusers that clipped on to the bulb were generally thrown away so most are missing. This lamp has slots on the bottom so may be wall mounted to use as a sconce or wall light. The original cord has become soiled however still remains soft and supple. Bulb doesn't flicker when the on off switch is turned. Bulb not included. As shown measures about 12" X 12" on a 5" base.
