Vintage Gilt Brass 5 Light Swag Goth Lamp with Hanging Prisms Hollywood Regency
You have the opportunity to own this Vintage Gilt Brass 5 Light Swag Goth Lamp with Hanging Prisms Hollywood Regency. A fantastic lamp from the mid twentieth century with lines that are retro to the 20’s and 30’s. Elegance that is not found in the newer lights. Light it up in 1.4, or 5 lights. This lamp is very large. Hanging 42” from the top of the fixture to the bottom of the last prism. Comes with a 12” cord. The switch is on the body of the top piece. It is about 10” across the top piece. The 5 hanging lights are about 8” from the top of the rim to the bottom of the prisms. There is some tarnish on the top outer lamp and a small flake of the plate has come off of the bottom light(see photos 6& 7) Some prisms are missing but they are not hard to find or replace. It was purchased at an estate sale. So not certain as to exact age(plug suggests 1950s-60s) but it is in excellent vintage condition meaning it is old, has been used and shows little wear with a little dulling of the chrome on a couple of the light bases, but no chips, cracks, dents and nothing broken or missing. The auction includes the five colored light bulbs pictured but cannot guarantee they will work after they have been shipped due to their age. This fabulous chrome lamp features five lights arranged in a spiral and a twist on-off switch about mid-way up. The base is weighted and has some rust on it but not the part that comes into contact with the floor(see ... morephoto#10) It stands approximately 5 feet tall. A beautiful brass/bronze table lamp in the French Regency style. Heavy and ornate. It sits on a salmon colored marble base with 4 dolphin feet. All metal parts are non-magnetic. The body of the lamp is an urn with an ornate floral design on both the front and the back. The urn has two Greek Key handles. Measuring 7-1/2” from handle to handle. Above the urn is a brass column holding a plastic candle sleeve and ending in Levinton double sockets with pull chains. The rectangular marble base has a center brass medallion decorated with scrolls and an Acanthus leaf. The numbers 3. 10, 5, 4, and 7 have been scratched into the underside ... moreof the marble. The tall dolphin legs(3-1/2” high) are brass. The lamp is unmarked and age is not known; however. It is extremely well-made with fine craftsmanship. A fabulous estate find. It was described as antique French brass. The condition is great antique or vintage. In working order with very few issues. The brass does show some imperfections here and there. But it has not been cleaned. There are no dents or dings. The right corner of the marble on the base has been repaired and looks to be expertly done with no rough edges(photos#7 and#9) There is one small dark spot on the top of the marble by the brass connector(photo#9) There is a wear spot(photo#10) on one of the handles on the urn. The screw and finial is missing(photo#11) The wiring has been spliced(photo#12) but. Due to its age, rewiring would be recommended anyway. 8x2" Extended. They are 8x13" These are copper covered metal. Copper still covers bottoms but most has worn off tops and sides. There are no markings. I can't find many of these- 1 to be exact. Super cool antique brass art deco table lamp 1920s* This is a really nice antique brass art deco table lamp which stands 17 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches wide at the base. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a pretty aqua blue glass bead pull on the end of the chain. The pretty embossed shade has blueberry color bakelite beaded fringe trim done in a chevron style. The column is thick twisted brass with embossed ivy decoration. The lamp has a gold finish on some areas. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the beads end. RARE 1920s Tiffin Glass 10.5 inch Kissing Lovebirds Parrots Electric Lamp, Works
Hailing straight from the early 1920s and in great vintage condition is this 10.5” tall figural electric lamp made by the Tiffin Glass Co. of Tiffin. Ohio. This rare. Hand-painted glass lamp features two lovely, detailed red and green birds smooching while sitting atop a brown tree stump. The 9.1250” tall glass“shade” portion of the lamp easily screws into its original shiny black glass, three-footed base that’s about 4.75” round and 1.8750” tall. The heavy accent lamp(3.14 pounds! has been well-cared for throughout the decades. The colors are still bright and vibrant. It is scratch-free and there is just one small chip that I found only by touch. It’s located near the tip of the tail on the left-hand bird when viewing the lamp from behind(see photo 3) When plugged in. You can see a handful of“light specks” showing through the paint on the ... morestump that appear to result from a thinner application of paint instead of age- or use-related wear. See the right-hand side of photo 4. When the lamp is off, those specks aren’t apparent. The novelty lamp still has its original cloth-covered electrical cord that works. But needs replaced since it has a non-polarized plug, the cloth covering is“shedding” and the two wires are separated in areas. You are looking at an oldy but a goodie. This baby is ripe. It stands 58 inches tall. That's 4 foot 10 inches for those that don't know inches. The top. Middle piece and base are cast. The round tube in the middle is either copper or brass. It could use a little cleaning. I did not want to mess with it. very solid. I haven't seen one of these for years. All of the bulbs and sockets work. The on/off dial works perfectly. This lamp weighs 6 pounds and measures 19 and 3/4" tall up to the top of the light socket by 8 and 1/4" across.
