This is an old antique copper printing block depicting a turn of century Gibson type of girl sitting in pose with a hurricane type lamp and what may have been a gazing ball to the other side of her. Maybe this was part of an ad for lamps and/or furnishings? It also has“copyright” in one lower corner. You can see just how it looks from the mirrored photo image. The lamp is 25 inches tall. The shade is 11 in diameter. It is hand painted. The artist has signed it FT Moran. The top globe has 5 pink roses, the background morphs from a pale pink to a soft yellow. The base has smaller roses and more leaves, the background has the same gradual fade from pink to yellow. The raised white paint in some areas has a nice warm, highlighted effect. There are no chips, or cracks in the lamp, there is one little flea bite on the top rim, you have to look for the bite. The bottom is signed PG Co which I am thinking Pittsburgh Glass Co. This lamp has been converted to electric. The metal is brass. The screw that raises ... morethe wick does work and is marked made in US of America. the bass is 8 inches.This lovely lamp would bring a warm glow to any room and would display nicely in a window. The reservoir has not been drilled so if you have the parts or are so inclined it can be reconverted to an oil lamp.The wiring is older but in good working condition but as always please inspect it thoroughly before using the lamp especially after shipment. Vintage Peach Lustre High Gloss Gone with the Wind Style Table Lamp
For Auction today is a Vintage Gone with the Wind Style Peach Lustre Lamp with Applied Flowers. This lamp has a light in the base and can be lit with one of three ways; bottom lit only. Upper lit only or both bottom and upper lit at the same time. This lamp is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks with good color throughout. The electrical element of the lamp works. The high gloss Lustre finish is as elegant with the lights off as it is with all lights lit. A sister lamp is offered for sale at this time also but it has a metal collar on the top of the lower globe, the base. Because of that I did not list them as a pair but could easily be paired together. All other parts of the lamps are identical. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN ERA GONE WITH THE WIND SWIRL MILK GLASS KEROSENE LAMP CONVERTD
Offering this very attractive antique Victorian Era Gone With The Wind Table Lamp. Originally oil but now converted to electric power. The parts maker was P& A. Royal who made the parts for the early Aladdin Lamps. This has a beautiful swirl milk glass base with a forest and mountain scene that appears to be a transfer ware process decoration. The cast iron feet are adorned with Cherubs at four points. Other than the cut outs for the conversion, one at the bottom of the pot and two at the top for the on- off chain, it is in great shape and just needs a shade. It measures 12 inches tall to top of the shade holder, is 6 inches wide at the top of the base and 7 inches wide at the swirl area of the base. The feet area measures 6 1/4 inches squared. RARE!~1920's Dillard Smith Hanging Gone with the Wind Library Lamp~Signed~Grapes
I HAVE SOME FABULOUS COLLECTIBLES AND FLEA MARKET TREASURES FOR YOUR HOME DÉCOR THAT I HAVE BROUGHT BACK FROM A RECENT BUYING TRIP SO CHECK BACK OFTEN AND PLEASE ADD ME TO YOUR FAVORITES. ~Wow! this antique 1920’s hanging Gone with the Wind Library lamp is so amazing. I have included a lot of photos because this light is far to incredible not to show every angle. This has all the Victorian charm you would expect from the Dillard M Smith Co. The hardware is all wrought iron. With 3 chains that meet in the center just above the 14 inch diameter shade. There is a decorative smoke bell at the top along with the matching wrought iron collar that sets loosely on top of the shade. There are many tear drop crystal prisms that adorn the bottom ring all the way around. Lastly the shade is Drop Dead Gorgeous! There are 4 raised/embossed grape cluster ... moreand leaves that wrap around the entire shade. The colors are even more beautiful in person. The bottom of the shade is signed Dillard M Smith Co. which is shown in the last photo. The Library Lamp measures about 18 inches tall to the top of the canopy. This is a ceiling mount style. The 14 inch shade when it sets in the ring is about 18 inches in total diameter. The condition is absolutely amazing for a lamp of this age. The shade is free of any chips, cracks, scratches or paint loss. I don’t think one as complete as this one will surface again for quite some time if at all. Antique Gone with the Wind Lamp electrified vintage perfection
Here is a gone with the wind lamp that I had electrified and a custom made shade. It measures: 27" high including chimney and shade; 13" from bottom to top of prongs that holds the chimney; 9 1/2" bottom to brass rim; iron base is 9 1/2" foot to foot; bowl is 9 1/2" diameter at widest part. The colors are green and pinks. Yellows with tulips on 2 sides. One side shows some light blotches,not white, just lighter within the base colors. The shade was very costly, very elegant and finely made, it is still perfect, no stains or fadeing. It is 14 1/2" diameter from point to point and the top opening for chimney to stick out is 8 1/2" across. The base is cast iron, font and rim around font are brass as is the burner. After a lot of research. And thanks to other EBay sellers, I found out that this is an electric 3 way hurricane lamp, with a frosted off white lower globe. It has a footed base with crow on the lower globe. The lamp has a lower night light, upper light or option to light both. From the bottom of the base to where the bulb screws in is 14 1/4" The round piece at the top is 10" in diameter, the bottom is 8" wide. The bulb in the bottom is one of those old fashioned Christmas tree bulbs. If you get a top piece to fit this lamp you are definitely going to have a great center/conversation piece. Up for auction is a Vintage 1950's-Gone With The Wind Lamp. Pink and White with a Central Hand Painted Rose Flower arrangement. Stands 20" high by 8" in diameter. Supported by an ornate 8" by 8" square footed cast white metal base. This lamp features a 3-way lighting option with both the top and bottom lit or just the top or the bottom's internal night light as shown lit in the 7th picture. Here's a really nice antique GWTW or banquet lamp! This style is seldom seen as most GWTW lamp feature a round base section. This one has been electrified and has a night light in the hand painted milk glass base. There is a 3-way switch mounted on the very ornate cast iron base. The lamp stands 15" high to the brass rim. And about 20" high to the top of the electric socket. The lovely base measures 7 1/4" square. For restoration purposes. The brass font appears to be in good shape, free of holes and cracks. Rare 1890's Gone with the Wind Banquet Lamp. This is a very hard to find shape of Jumbo Parlor Lamp with matching shade& base. It has the double duplex burner turners. This lamp has amazing metal work. The bottom"Bun" Feet are very store and decorative. The glass is all hand painted and finished with beautiful Leaves& stems with little trails of vines. The shade is a full size large piece. The bottom is a wonderful bulbous shape. The lamp stands 27" tall to the top of the chimney. The base is 17" tall on its own. The shade stands 11" tall and is 10" aprox in dia. There are not chips, cracks or repairs to the glass. Some normal flea bits on the edge of the shade, but not seen. We mention for accuracy, but the shade edge is remarkable as well as the rest of the lamp for its odd large size and age. The ... morelamp has been electrified. Long ago someone put a switch off to the side of the tank. We have left the lamp in"As Found" condition. It has not yet been restored. The cord is an old one. And we will wait to see if the lamp sells in this round before we seek out a restoration. That way the new owner can decide weather to update the electric or put it back to full oil use.
