ANTIQUE SPELTER SCULPTURE GREYHOUND WHIPPET DOG OIL LAMP EAGLE GLASS SHADE 32"
We are pleased to offer this very special lamp. Dating to the 1880s. This beautiful lamp is truly an art piece. It features a large or ornate cast iron base with either pewter or silver plate hardware just above. Seated in the mid section of the lamp is a wonderful spelter Greyhound or Whippet dog sculpture. This beautiful piece is nicely detailed and the collared dog is gorgeous. He is seated upon a pewter or silver plate piece which is incised and resembles a cobblestone or bricked surface. A lall and slender brass column is positioned behind the dog and attached the lamp base to the brass oil reservoir. The brass reservoir is large. It has a few minor dings but is in good condition. There is a area on the upper section which is opened and does not have a cover(see picture 9) I am not sure what this is. The original font has been replaced, ... moreprobably when the lamp was converted. However, it would be very easy to return the lamp to oil burning if you so desired. The lamp has a beautiful, golden yellow shade with Eagle and Star pattern. It is very nice with some minor wear. This lamp is quite rare and exceptional. It is in overall wonderful condition but it does have some minor signs of age and use. It is a gorgeous piece of 19th century art! The lamp is quite large. It measures 24" to the top of the burner. It stands 8.375 inches high and measures 9.875 inches wide across the frilled rim and 5.5 inches in diameter across the base. For accuracy there are several tiny specks within the glass and one tiny rough speck on the rim. All of which have occurred during manufacture and in no way detract. There are no chips or cracks and the cranberry colour is strong. Up for bid is this vintage cased glass lamp shade. It is in good condition. It has a ground rim and the fitter side is ground also. It has a few tiny fleabites. But not bad. It is cased glass with white glass in the middle and pink on the outside and inside. This is thick glass. It measures 5 1/2" in height, about 3 1/4" across the top rim and 3 1/16" across the fitter end. This is a very pretty pink color. Pictures 2& 3 show more of it's true color. Thanks for looking!

Antique glass oil lamp electrified/muslin shade. Gorgeous looking.
This was tagged a antique whale lamp that was electrified. It has a nice muslin shade with a great design in the fabric. The shade is a little soiled in 3 parts of the shade. I would turn that side to the back. Of course you have to look to notice due to the color of the fabric. I would not hesitate from using it just the way it is. It measures 10 1/2" from the bottom of the lamp to the bottom of the brass socket. Like I said the tag said whale lamp but you look it over to make sure that is the style. Gives off wonderful light because its a tall one and the shade is beige. Any questions please ask and thanks for looking.

This Auction is for an Antique Victorian. Gone With the Wind, Kerosene Oil Lamp. It measures 19" to the Top of the Antique Frosted and Floral etched Globe Ball Shade. The shade has to small chips to the fitter end that goes into shade holder so it is not visible when on the Lamp.The oil Reservoir is frosted Pressed Glass and the bottom part of the stem with painted Butterfly I Believe is a soft Blue milkglass. The base is footed and chased, etched. The burner is marked and has Patent date on the turn wheel for wick but my eyes are not good enough to make it out. Oil stand lamp. Bloxam" translucent milk glass, 2 burner Plume& Attwood"Banner, and a milk glass petticoat shade, c1880s. For pattern, reference Thuro's book 2"Oil Lamps II" pub. 1983/90, p 101 fig g for a flat hand lamp, and p. 104 fig g for a stand lamp. Not sure who made this lamp. Have seen it in clear, and the minature versions with nbr. 1 burners or smaller burners. This is the only milk glass one I've seen, so I know it is hard to find. The lamp is about 9.125" to the collar, and 19.5" with the chimney and burner. I added the petticoat shade later based on a comment from my wife. The petticoat shade is about 2.56" tall and 8.75" wide. All of the glass is in excellent condition. When I purchased it many years ago, the collar was loose, so I re-plastered it later. Beautiful Victorian Hinks & Sons Ceramic Oil Banquet Lamp, Original Glass Shade
Beautiful Victorian Hinks and Sons Ceramic Oil Banquet Lamp with Original Acid Etched Glass Shade This lovely Victorian oil/kerosene lamp by Hicks and Sons is all original from its base to its duplex burners to its acid etched. Floral design, glass shade. This example of a vintage English banquet lamp has a commanding, and yet quietly elegant, presence. The lamp stands over 23.5" tall by over 6" wide at the base; the piece is quite substantial and heavy probably due to the heavy ceramic, weighted metal base. The naturalistic, calming colors of blue, green, ochre and cream in the ceramic portion(Doulton? complement the quiet elegance of the acid etched floral glass shade. The ceramic base almost has an arabesque design look to it with some elements of aesthetic(nature) movement. As you can see from the photos, some of the ceramic ... moredesign is raised in certain portions of the motif giving it an embossed, three dimensional look. The middle ceramic component is seated on a footed brass base; the oil font sits down in a brass holder seated in the ceramic portion. The lamp is marked by the makers in the following places: on the brass neck near the two wick turners(Hinks and Son's Patent" on the end of the wick turners(Best British Maker F" with what looks like a sun logo in the middle) on the very bottom of the metal base(Hinks and Son's.468" This lamp is in what I consider excellent to very good condition, especially considering its age and utilitarian purpose. The brass footed base has some indications of age such as darkening and pitting; I could find no cracks, no chips and no imperfect areas in the ceramic portion. The only imperfections in this over 100 year old lamp can be attributed to age and use and are the following: several flakes, tiny chips in the glass in the bottom rim of the glass shade; these flakes cannot be seen while the shade is resting in its brass holder. In excellent condition for its age. There are a couple of tiny pin head nicks on the edge of the chimney where it would sit in the holder. I purchased it recently from a French Brocante together with a slightly larger funnel. In the same beautiful deep cranberry glass. ART GLASS ETCHED AND DECORATED OIL LAMP TULIP SHADE, ART NOUVEAU, ARTS & CRAFTS
Up for auction is this rare art nouveau or arts& crafts tall tulip oil lamp shade. Stands approx 250mm. Ten inches tall, and 165mm max diameter. The base fitting is approx 87mm diameter, external, and 78mm internal. It fits a standard 88mm'porte globe' globe carrier found on many Kosmos type lamps, also Wizard and some small Vulkan burners. will also fit the 3&1/2 inch carriers found on some smaller burners. Main body is overall etched. With a 3 x repeated pattern of raised enamelled medallions and droppers in between. The thin green lines are in a very fine paint. Top frill is finished in a very pale' dusty' lime green finish with a slight irridescence to it, to simulate ancient roman glass that has been buried for 2,000 years. There are a couple of chips to the fitter base. And one flat flake to the edge of one frill ... morethat is hard to see, typical from use, worst is pictured. no other chips and NO CRACKS. Cut Glass Oil Lamp Font A very High quality oil lamp indeed. A reeded stepped copper. Brass and china base houses a particularly good triple cut faceted glass font in perfect condition. The font is fitted with a classic hinks/messengers bayonet fitting collar which houses a very good hinks no2 Duplex rise and fall burner. The lamp is finished with an original victorian acid etched reeded globular shade. The overall height of the oil lamp including the chimney is 65cm 25 1/2 inches tall. The shade is just over 18cm tall and 20cm 8 inches wide. The diameter of the font is 17cm just shy of 7 inches. Postage UK £10. Europe £30, USA and Canada £45. Antique. Rayo, nickle plated, oil lamp with glass flume and blue glass shade. Pat Nov. 20. 94(1894) Has the no. 2496 and made on February 29, 1905. Measures 21 1/4 inches tall. The shade is 6 1/2 inches tall by 9 5/8 inches diameter. The flume is 10 1/4 inches tall, and the tank is 7 inches diameter. The lamp base is 6 1/2 inches diameter. The tank does have a few small minor dents but not bad considering how extremely old it is. The glass flume and shade are in great condition with no chips, breaks or cracks. Great antique table lamp. A what I believe to be Victorian oil lamp. It stands 23" 59cm) and is in good condition for its age. I think the main body is cast. not magnetic) is without damage, and on the inside of the base raised is 1831. The glass font is good with no damage. The burner has Hinks and sons on the side and there is 1 chimney finger missing. Both wicks will rise and fall, and one of the ceramic inserts has the writing worn. Up for auction is this rare moulded and shaded glass peg lamp complete with a nice. Working 6 line size kosmos lamp and its original matching shade. Please note THE SHADE HAS A CHIP IN THE FITTING RING if this distresses you then please read no further. Lamp stands 13 inches. 33 cms) total tall as in picture 1, and the shade is just under 7 inches at max diameter, the fitting rim is the usual 5&1/2 inch you would expect of a 6 line kosmos. There is NO DAMAGE to the glass fount. It even has ALL FOUR steel grip springs present, springy and correct. Brass 6 line kosmos collar to top, and an original kosmos burner, complete with wick and correct chimney. wick winds, no nasty grinding. burner has integral shade ring. Which, despite some signs of resoldering where it fits into the burner, holds the shade level and is sturdy. Shade. Ok as before ... morementioned it has a chip to the rim. Pretty much hidden by the brass gallery. ther is also a flat flake inside one of the top ruffles(about 5mm wide) almost invisible, but you can feel it if you rub it. There are NO cracks or burst bubbles. And the shade rings like a bell. As the shade is tinted and opal you could fill the base rim chip if it bothered you. Similar moulded matching sets are shown in the 1896 Veritas catalogue. And they refer to the colour there as'old gold' Despite the damage this is still an extremely rare lamp. American Brass KLEEMAN 1870 Student Desk Oil Lamp/Milk Glass Shade-Converted
Up for consideration is this antique C.A. Kleeman& C.F.A. Hinrichs New York kerosene brass student desk lamp. This lamp has been electrified over the years and appears to have been done in a way that could easily be converted back to original without issue. However, I am not certain. It is in overall very good/strong antique condition and I believe will restore nicely. I believe that the milk glass shade is original however I cannot verify if correct or original. The shade does have some small rim nicks here and there from use where it sits on the shade ring. I do not have the chimney that would have also been with this lamp. I see no dents in the brass. The fuel tank appears original and without issue and has the pin on the bottom. This piece does move if you push the pin up and down, not sure if this is correct or if you pull the pin ... moredown to secure? Height adjustment knob turns( a little hard) but does work and lamp slides up an down. Shade ring or arm(not sure which) appears slightly tilted so I put a level on the ring to show you. I do not want to try to adjust or bend at all, I will leave that decision to the new owner. As you can see the brass needs to be cleaned, bottom of lamp is covered in green felt. A nice vintage milk glass oil lamp shade with a clear glass base. The base of the shade measures 4" in diameter x 7 1/2" tall. There are a couple of tiny nibbles along the edge of the base which would not be visible when on an oil lamp. Otherwise in very good vintage condition. 1880's-1900's Original Victorian Antique Parlor Oil Lamp with Satin Glass Shade
1880's-1900's Victorian Antique Oil Lamp This 1880's-1900's Victorian Antique Parlor Oil Lamp has been in my personal Antique Collection for over 40 years. This Victorian Oil Lamp is a beautiful work of art with spectacular ornate design and incredible hand craftsmanship. The Satin glass shade globe has a beautiful raised embossed grape design. The lamp oil reservoir with Burner assembly can be removed by lifting it out of the base of the lamp. There is a Full/Out indicator that works on a float valve system. The lamp is missing the glass chimney that is suppose to stick out about 2 inches above the shade. The chimney replacement is very cheap and can be bought at numerous locations. I have seen them in several places over the years for less than $10. This antique Victorian Parlor lamp stands 11 inches tall(without the shade ... moreon) and about 7 inches wide. It is about 21 inches tall with the shade on. The globe is about 11 inches tall and 10 inches wide. This parlor lamp is a wonderful addition to your Victorian decor. Victorian Oil Kerosene Lamp Blue Cased Cut Glass Font Fenton Coin Dot Ball Shade
Victorian Duplex Burner Kerosene Oil Lamp C. 1880-90 ORIGINAL PERIOD LAMP. NOT A REPRODUCTION. The font is mold blown cased glass. Clear over blue. The clear surface is delicately wheel cut in a lace like pattern. The third photo shows the truest color) The font is mounted with a brass collar and tapered support that are cemented on. The lamp's base is brass with a iron under plate. The duplex burner's knobs are embossed with a globe emblem. The Fenton blown opaline coin dot glass shade is old, whether it is original to the base is unknowable but they have been together for some time. I have worked on antique lamps for over thirty years. I have not seen a similar font before. CONDITION: Surprisingly good. The font has not been drilled and has no problems. The brass elements have darkened with age and can be polished as brightly as ... moreyou desire. There is surface rust on the iron under plate. The burner was gutted when it was electrified. The rowels that move the wicks are still in place. A section of the gallery that holds the chimney in place is missing. The chimney still fits tightly. The chimney is not as old as the lamp(few are) and has chips on its bottom and top edges. The shade, no cracks, it has chips on the inner surface of its fitter opening, these may have occurred when the shade was made and the fitter lip was ground, and again, chips on the inner edge of its top opening, these are from use. Such chips are typical on old shades. Dimensions: 24 1/2" tall with the chimney in place. The lamp. To the font collar, 11 1/4" tall. Font, 6" maximum diameter. Foot, 7" diameter. Shade, 4" fitter, 7" maximum diameter. The entire lamp weighs, 8 pounds, 6 ounces. It will be disassembled when packed. Here we have an original green glass shade with a gold painted floral decoration. Dimensions; shade is 3 9/16" tall. Has a 2 1/8" flanged metal fitting rim(if you removed the brass fitting rim it would be around 1 7/8" fitting at the'natural' glass rim) and is 5" across frill. Likely this was originally for a peg or piano lamp with a small Kosmos burner. The brass flanged trimm seems added later(going by the bright-white plaster) likely to allow use with an electric gallery with set screws. Condition; brass rim is plastered ... morein place and could likely be removed if necessary. Giving off wonderful shades of light as shown in photos. Beautiful white striped shade is original with one small"flea bite" chip to upper edge as shown in photos. Lamp measures 20 3/8"H x 11"W. Including shade. Base measures 5 7/8"D. Shade measures 7"H x 6 1/2"W. Bottom hole diameter is 3 1/8" Shade support is bent slightly and one wire support is free. ANTQ 1915-16 HANGING ALADDIN MODEL 6 OIL LAMP W MILK GLASS GLOBE SHADE
This is an antique 1915-1916 complete Aladdin hanging oil lamp. It has a brass oil pot(please note the small dent in pictures) a milk glass shade in very good condition with no breaks or cracks and a clear glass chimney. It is marked Mantle Lamp Co. Of America Aladdin 1915-1916 model 6. This lamp measures 27" high and has a 10" shade. We will be shipping in two separate boxes for safe delivery.
