Gorgeous antique lamp! It would make a lovely addition to your coastal. Marine, nautical décor. It features a handpainted heron, bird on the white glass section. Metal base, pattern glass section, brass fittings, milk glass shade. Electrified. There are condition issues unfortunately. Please see photos for pictures of the crack in the white base section, and the chip in the white shade. I am no sure if the white shade or the chimney are original. Stands 21" tall. Measures 14 1/2" Tall. 18" Wide and about 4" deep. Please check the pictures so you can judge the condition. This is an old lamp and the brass is not perfect but not bad either. The weld in the middle is not intact but the lamp functions just fine without it and you really can't tell unless you look really close. PRICE REDUCED TO $150! Information on this lamp was almost impossible to find. It is rare. For sure. You cannot find this company's lights in the U.S. It is stamped on the bottom with the HoNSEL logo and name(see photo) Original lamps go for thousands of dollars at the BIG auction's house(you know which one! The wiring may have been replaced but that is also vintage as you can see from the pictures. The tree shaped base is cast metal- very heavy, maybe bronze? Bronze colored, for sure. It was made by the HoNSEL Lighting Company whose affiliations date back to 1919. Info on the name HoNSEL: The New Honsel of 1919-1929 was a workshop of decorative artist ... moreHendrik Cornelis Hérens(1893-1934) that made stained glass lamps. Hendrikk Hérens was born on December 4. 1893 in Amsterdam. He took a course in drawing at the Academy of Art in The Hague and then was an assistant to the restoration of the stained glass windows of St. John's Church in Gouda. In 1919 he started his own studio in Honselersdijk(Netherlands) where he made stained and leaded-glass windows. The workshop was called The Honsel. And later The New Honsel. His first lamps were faithful decorations. But gradually he went on to the expressionist Amsterdam School style. He designed lamps for major clients such as De Bijenkorf and cinema Tuschinsky. 1] He also made for individuals lamps in the Tuschinsky style. In 1921 the studio moved to Loosduinen and in 1923 to The Hague. The workshop closed in 1929. There is now a company in Germany called Honsel Leuchten(I found the connection from Hendrik Herens to this company. We are pleased to offer this unique. Antique to older vintage, Mid Century, Danish modern styled, gooseneck desk lamp. This is a beautiful, old lamp with similar characteristics and styling that are often seen in lamps by Tynell. This lamp features copper or coppered brass construction. It has a rounded, raised base. The lamp's"gooseneck" column is adjustable. It is finished quite nicely with the coppered finish mixed with a brilliant brass finish. It gives the flexible gooseneck a"striped" appearance. The shade is outstanding. It is large and curved cone shaped. It features a pierced detail band on the top and bottom sections of the shade. There is an on/off switch at the top of the shade. The inner shade is white. The lamp dates to the 1940s or 1950s. It is in very good condtion for its age. There are a couple of ... moreminor scuffs on the shade's finish but they are not distracting. This is an antique Table/Desk Lamp. It stands about 15 inches tall when assembled. The shade is about 6 inches in diameter and about 6 inches in height. The base is painted metal with a lined design. The shade is made of frosted glass with a floral pattern. The base color is white with a mild blue accent There is no electrical component installed but one can easily be added. The lamp is in very good condition for its age. The base has some chipped and scratched paint which can be touched up. The shade is in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks. It is dirty and dusty. I did not try to clean it. Due to its delicate nature. I estimate this lamp to be circa late 1800's to early 1900's. This is a vintage Leviton Brass desk/table lamp with 2 light socket and with adjustable and removable brass shade holder as you seen on the photo. Right 2/3 from the bottom of the shade holder. There is a screw and you can remove the top portion or adjust the height. With the height adjusted, it measures 23 inches tall. For your consideration, RARE" Original late 19th or early 20th Century American Table or Desk Lamp. No makers mark found. Socket looks to be a 3rd generation GECo. Has Pat September 25, 90 stamped on the brass ring. Cord& glass shade look to be period correct. The plug appears to be a new replica replacement. Glass shade does have small chipping spots that you cant see on the top rim where it is attached by the three knurled screws. Adjusts from 13-1/2" tall up to 23" tall. Antique Wood Brass Cast Iron Carriage Lamp foyer table desk lamp
This is a beautiful antique table lamp with a heavy cast iron base with a carved wooden post and a Carriage like bevel glass(encased) shade. This shade is a metal tin painted a matte black color. There is a couple of scuffs and nicks on paint but not bad and easy to fix. The lamp is sturdy, stands up straight, and measures about 16 1/2" tall and 6" wide at base. This lamp weighs more than 4 lbs. There are scuffs and scratches on the wood post of this lamp- only from previous use and wear from age. There are straight hairline cracks in the wood post but it looks like this is how the wood is placed together, like a wainscoting design. Not sure of type of wood- could be walnut? The carriage like looking shade has beveled clear glass panes framed in metal with brass top. None of the clear glass panes are chipped or cracked. Not sure ... moreof maker- There are numbers marked on the bottom of bare cast iron base but no maker name. This lamp seems to have an original outlet cord and plug- prongs on plug are marked Academy Automatic Made in USA~ Albeit. This lamp is probably about 50 years old or older. It would look great in a foyer hall or side table in an office. The bulb shown has an amber tint- this bulb will be included.
