An outstanding feature is that it was made in 1785 and is approximately 228 years old! The English silversmith hallmarks along the bottom edge spell out its unique history. Maker's Mark: Bold initials"RH" in an oval escutcheon. Granted in 1783 to the maker, Robert Hennell Silver Mark: Lion Passant- sterling silver content.925 Date Letter: Small letter"k" in a shield-like escutcheon. Equals 1785 date of assay in London City Mark: crowned leopard's head" means London was place of manufacture Duty Mark: left facing profile of George III" from Dec 1784 to May 1786 indicated duty was paid The piece stands about 2 inches high on 4 ball and claw feet. It is 3 1/4 inches long by 2 1/4 inches wide. The entire salt cellar weighs approximately 6 ounces. With the silver frame at 2 ounces and the glass insert at 4 ounces. The silver frame has beautiful lattice work along the upper perimeter. Topped off by an elegant edge trim. Along the sides, is the graceful engraving into the silver of a garland of roses, intertwined with a ribbon. Also, one side is engraved a capital letter"B" and the other side has a design resembling a clock face. There was no indication of any defects or scratches on the silver frame. The cobalt blue insert. Has an amazing color, especially when held up to sunlight or other bright light. At the bottom of the insert is an etching of an eight pointed star. This refracts the light passing through, enhancing its beauty. There is a 3/4 inch imperfection and a small chip on the bottom outside edge of the insert. Absolutely stunning vintage blue lamp has a bulb inside the base(use as a nightlight) then it has the regular bright bulb on top. You can turn on either or both. I've shown it in all variations. It is a very light blue. Then the flowers are painted a darker turquoise blue. From a local estate. A beautiful vintage"Blue Slag Glass and Metal End Of The Trail Lamp Shade. Nice detail and eye appeal. Shade dates from the late 19teens to the 1920's. Six identical panels make up the shade. Each panel is held in place with a soldered brass holder. The metal design of the outer shade appears to be spelter finished with a bronze look. Marked on the inside of the shade top with what appears to be a series of letters and numbers"HB ... more618 595 411. No other marks that I could find. Measures approx. 7 1/2" high. Each panel base measures approx. 7" and each panel top measures approx. 2 3/4. Width of shade from flat side to flat side is 12" and from angle point to angle point is 14 1/4. No damage to any of the glass panels. No apparent damage to the metal parts of the shade that I could see. This is a very heavy shade. It needs a heavy metal base to appropriately hold and show the shade. A great item for your collection. I could find only one of these shades offered in the past six years. Standing near 18" tall, featuring decorative handle and up to 3" dropped crystal prisms. The very thick. Tulip shaped and etched glass chimney measures approx. 9" in height, 6 1/4" in diameter at the top with a near 3/8" cobalt blue flashing around the edge and measuring 1 3/4" in diameter at the brass covered base. Free from any cracks or chips. You will notice various small to tiny bubbles in the handcrafted and beautifully etched glass. The brass candle holder measures approx. 11 1/2" in height and near 4 3/4" in diameter at the base. Consistent with its age you will notice several dings and dents. PAIR ANTIQUE ART DECO BEADED GLASS LAMPS FROST TO CLEAR SHADES BLUE CRYSTALS
We are pleased to offer this beautiful pair of antique glass lamps. The pair dates to the Art Deco period of the 1930s to 1940s. They feature clear glass. Round bases in elongated beaded design. The bodies are also clear with a beaded accent in the center. The large bobeche has 12 pin holes. The lamps each include 6 long, blue rain drop crystals(one in every other pinhole) This way allows you to see the lamp bodies but you can certainly add more crystals if you prefer. The shades feature frosted glass with clear raised relief pattern of grapes and vines. The tops are also clear with a scalloped border. Though a matched pair, one of the shades is a little"whiter" frosted than the other. You don't notice it unless the lamps are side by side. The lamps are in very good condition with no chips, cracks, etc. The shades are very nice ... moreas well with expected wear around the fitter area. Wiring is vintage but in good condition and lamps are working. The lamps measure 14.5" tall with the shades attached and 10" without shades. The bases are 4" in diameter. Decorated in gold fleur-de-lis designs, seperated by gilt brass fittings, topped with a kerosene tank and removeable fixture assembly and glass chimney. The lamp was in the process of being converted to electric at some point in the past, but this work was not completed. The bottom of the kerosene tank is stamped: Vaast NY- Maker" the glass is more than likely French made, and is definately in the French taste! This is opaline glass and is NOT cased glass. Antique. Rayo, nickle plated, oil lamp with glass flume and blue glass shade. Pat Nov. 20. 94(1894) Has the no. 2496 and made on February 29, 1905. Measures 21 1/4 inches tall. The shade is 6 1/2 inches tall by 9 5/8 inches diameter. The flume is 10 1/4 inches tall, and the tank is 7 inches diameter. The lamp base is 6 1/2 inches diameter. The tank does have a few small minor dents but not bad considering how extremely old it is. The glass flume and shade are in great condition with no chips, breaks or cracks. Great antique table lamp. Antique Austrian German Oil Lamps Ditmar blue glass with Mirror Reflectors
They are not exactly the same. The blue glass bases are the same size and the burners. One mirror reflector was made in Germany for Ditmar, the other was made in Austria for Ditmar. The shades look to be original but one is taller than the other. The hanging hook on the reflector and the fastening clamp is different between the two. Very old and very rare, no cracks, dents, or chips. The mirrors have a little foxing around the rims. With the chimney one measures 11 5/8" tall, the other is 13" tall, the bases are 4.5" wide. I try to find any defects but I can't guarentee I'll see them all. No returns unless item is not as described. This is an older piece and therefor is no longer perfect as the day it was made. Save on combined shipping. Insurance will be added to the cost of shipping if necessary.

Up for bid a really nice antique french blue opaline gothic handles and white lamp it has a solid brass base and it has been rewired works great and has no cracks. Chips it does have the gold scrolls or floral motifs in the front and around the upper part of the lamp some have been erased with age other than that it's really unique it measures 31in to the finial and from the base to top of the blue ring it's 18in the top blue portion of the lamp is 6in and the handles are 4.5in from handle to handle close to 7.5 and the base is 6.5in Thank you for checking out my items.

Exquisite Antique Hanging Glass Lamp w/Hand-Painted Violets, Robin's Egg Blue
This listing is for the most beautiful little hanging lamp made of frosted satin glass. White with 2 hand-painted bands of robin's egg blue and a central motif of deep blue violets with little peach-colored flowers and green leaves. The turnkey is in an Art Deco style, and this lamp dates from probably the 1920s to early 1940s. The central floral motif is repeated on 3 sides, and each side has just a tad of wear as on the side shown. The twisted rayon cord and plug are in excellent shape. The lamp is shown turned on with a 40-watt bulb, and it's absolutely exquisite with the soft light shining through the frosted glass. It measures 6-1/2" tall to the top of the hardware where the cord comes out and 4-1/4" diameter at the bell of the shade, perfect for hanging in a corner or above a dressing table. The turnkey has a good"snap" ... moreto it. It's in very good condition, having only several tiny nicks on the inner edges of the glass rims but nothing that shows. The tall lamps are hand blown, cut to clear, royal blue glass. These are quality made lamps with attention to detail around each cut- photos do not do them justice. The scalloped edge top is hand cut with notches as shown, the neck or stem of the lamp is cut to clear with clover style shapes which are repeated around the cut base. The 10 cut crystal prisms on each lamp are 2 parts, octagon diamond at the top and long, elaborately cut, 3 sided Prince Albert style drops with spear ends, believe they are original to the lamp however they vary in length some. I could find a mark on either lamp not certain if they are French or Bohemian/Czech. PLEASE ... moreNOTE- These lamps are quite heavy and will be packaged well. Antique Czech Table Lamp Description: Electric table lamp is constructed with a art glass vase as the body section. Vase is white cased glass with blue pulled streaks and gold. Yellow and green adventurine or mica spots. This is attributed to Ruckl in their Shimmy Decor. Glass is in mint condition with no chips or cracks. Cast iron lamp base part has a bright brass plated finish. Brass shows a slightly aged patina but is bright and shiny overall. Some sections would benefit from a quick polish. Cast iron embossed base design pattern shows horse chestnut leaves and nuts. Measures 25.5 inches tall overall as measured to the top of the round ball shaped finial. Glass body section measures 4.25 inches wide and 9.5 inches tall. Bottom of base is 8.25 inches in diameter. Recently rewired using gold colored cord and a white wall plug. I have not been able to find anything on this wonderful old pair. It looks as if they were originally spring loaded candle sticks but the columns have filled with wax and I have not taken them apart to inspect. The fabulous element if this pair is the blue opaline globes. Not sure if the are French or not but the look to have been hand blown. A little roughness on the bottom edges from where they were cut but no breaks, cracks, chips or nicks in the glass. The two bases have a few dings as you might expect from age but otherwise no breaks. Bends or repairs. The pair stands 14" high to the top of the globes with the bases measuring 4-1/4" in diameter. DESCRIPTION: I’m offering today an Antique Aqua Blue Hobnail Glass Lamp with Bristol Glass Base and Upper. This belonged to my elderly in-laws which we found when cleaning out their home. The aqua blue hobnail glass looks like the color of the ocean. When the light penetrates the glass it has such a lovely color. The hobnail comes to a point and is not rounded. The top of the lamp is white bristol glass which is scalloped and holds the holder for the light bulb. I do believe the bulb holder has been replaced and it works fine. The bottom has the same white bristol glass scalloped pattern which the hobnail base sits on. Then you come to the square white bristol base which compliments the combination of above. The original cord remains attached and as mentioned above. The lamp works fine. There is a cut-out in the square bristol glass base ... morewhich allows for the cord to run through so the lamp sits squarely on the table. Victorian Duplex Burner Kerosene Oil Lamp C. 1880-90 ORIGINAL PERIOD LAMP. NOT A REPRODUCTION. The font is mold blown cased glass. Clear over blue. The clear surface is delicately wheel cut in a lace like pattern. The third photo shows the truest color) The font is mounted with a brass collar and tapered support that are cemented on. The lamp's base is brass with a iron under plate. The duplex burner's knobs are embossed with a globe emblem. The Fenton blown opaline coin dot glass shade is old, whether it is original to the base is unknowable but they have been together for some time. I have worked on antique lamps for over thirty years. I have not seen a similar font before. CONDITION: Surprisingly good. The font has not been drilled and has no problems. The brass elements have darkened with age and can be polished as brightly as ... moreyou desire. There is surface rust on the iron under plate. The burner was gutted when it was electrified. The rowels that move the wicks are still in place. A section of the gallery that holds the chimney in place is missing. The chimney still fits tightly. The chimney is not as old as the lamp(few are) and has chips on its bottom and top edges. The shade, no cracks, it has chips on the inner surface of its fitter opening, these may have occurred when the shade was made and the fitter lip was ground, and again, chips on the inner edge of its top opening, these are from use. Such chips are typical on old shades. Dimensions: 24 1/2" tall with the chimney in place. The lamp. To the font collar, 11 1/4" tall. Font, 6" maximum diameter. Foot, 7" diameter. Shade, 4" fitter, 7" maximum diameter. The entire lamp weighs, 8 pounds, 6 ounces. It will be disassembled when packed. The lamp has a beautiful kingfisher-blue glass fount with optic-ribbing moulded into the glass. The fire-proof crystal chimney is a'Sun-Pine' which is one of several correct profile chimneys these burners took. Others being'Sun-Lotus' Comet' and'Comet-Tram' etc. The detailed cast-iron foot has a gold finish and Diamond Registration stamp for April c1875. Dimensions; lamp stands 18 1/2" tall to the top of the chimney. 5 1/2" across fount.
