Vintage Bronze and Porcelain Floral Design Table Lamp Up for auction an amazing vintage Bronze and porcelain lamp. This lamp is in near perfect overall condition. No chips, cracks or other flaws in the porcelain or bronze, and in good working condition, the only flaw is it does not have a shade or finial. It stands 33" tall to the mount for the shade, the base is 5" square. The floral design on a white back round of raised bumps is probably from the late 40's to early 50's, Italian or French would be my best guess. I can find no makers marks or other identifying features anywhere on the lamp. Please look over the pics and forward any questions at least a day before the auction ends to allow me time to respond. This is an old antique 1920s era gold gilt brass with white enamel highlights bedroom lamp with lavender. Pink and yellow porcelain china floral roses. The lamp is 11 1/4" by 9" with a 4 1/2" by 4 1/2" base. The gold finish is nice. The lamp has its old original cord and is missing its lamp shade. The pink rose back top petal has a chip. Exquisite! This is an extremely nice and rare pair of antique lamps. This beautiful pair features fine porcelain with green glaze paint. And exceptionally hand painted in a floral and leaf pattern. The hand painting is expertly accomplished with beautiful and purposeful brush strokes. The floral design is hand outlined in a gold gilt/gild paint. The porcelain section of each lamp is"footed" in gold and rests upon a circular brass base. The porcelain sections also have a long neck which are also highlighted with gold gilt. There are no manufacturers marks, but the lamps are each signed"La Touche" which is French for"touched" with the meaning of"something that moves you" These lamps certainly will move you as they are spectacular! The pair are in excellent. Antique condition. There are no chips or cracks ... moreto the porcelain. There is no crazing to the finish. The brass bases have an aged patina. The pair retain the original harps and the very heavy and ornate finials. PLEASE NOTE that there are no shades with the pair. The wiring is older vintage but looks very good and both lamps are in good working condition. There is an on/off switch on each cord. Lamps are 22.5" to light socket and 33" to the tops of the finials. There are 7.5" in diameter at the widest point of the porcelain bodies and they are 6.25" in diameter at the bases. Paulding Porcelain table lamp. Probably from about the 40's but not sure. 16 in. high 6 in. wide at largest point. The gold trim looks like gold gillt but I'm not sure. And the lamp may have been hand painted in some areas. The switch is a little"off" but the lamp works. Cord is worn from age. Crazing on entire lamp but not heavy lines. Still a very nice piece. Which is, AWMP CO. 552" and I think that mark is for the metal base part only. Each Lamp body is made of a porcelain or china material, with a flower decoration. I would guess the flowered design bodies were likely made in France, Germany or another European Company. The Lamps came from the estate of the original owner, have been well cared for, and even have the original matching Finials, I am not positive but these hand painted finials are likely made of wood. Each Lamp has the same Flower designs on the front and back. If you look closely at my photos, the flower designs on the front side of the lamps is more elaborate, than the backside, where the electric cords come ... moreout. The electrical sockets and cords look to be likely original, and seem to be in fine working condition. If you looks closely at the electrical cords there are a couple of areas where the gold silk covering has worn off, but the actual wire casing under that is in fine condition. Each lamp measures approx. 26 inches tall, to the top of the harps. The harps cannot be removed for shipping, so they will be shipped as shown in my photos. In good working con dition as the pics show with some wear from age as s hown. The porcelain has some imperfections as s h own with the woman's hand no longer being attached to the dog. One of the finials is not original as shown and one of the shades is slightly di scolored. On e of the brass bot toms is damaged in what I believe was an attempt to see the underside to find a maker's mark but there is m ore metal under it. I'm not sure of the make but they remin d me of Nymphenburg porcelain but I cannot say fo r sure. The best I can make out is Plux. You can tell the light socket part is new& the plug at the end of the cord is new. It is in excellent shape and a beautiful lamp. Only the felt on the base is ripped and has a 1-¼ x 2-¼ piece tore out. Thought about keep it for myself. I will not ship with a light. All descriptions given are our honest opinion. This is an old antique 1920s to 1930s era pair of glass etched lamps with porcelain china roses. Each lamp is 3 1/2" across base and 17" tall with light bulb inside. They have cream color older shades that are very plain and are 10" by 8" Each lamp has a pink and white china rose. Each lamp is missing a china rose and one lamp has a 1/8" chip on a facet that I did not notice till now. See closeup. They have beautiful roses and a classic leaf style design on the base. Antique Vintage Italian Porcelain Winged Dragon Bust Hand Painted Lamp + Shade
This is an Absolutely Stunning Antique Porcelain Italian Hand-Painted Table Lamp. The lamp has two handles with winged gold gilded dragon bust figurines on it. The lamp has a capodimonte raised floral pattern on the lamp. Basic colors are green and white with gold trim. The original tag is still on the lamp and it says it was made in Italy. The lamp shade is very different and very large measuring 19" tall by 21" by across at the bottom by 11 1/2" across at the top. It is a gold filigree type lace over a metal type frame. The shade has some water stains on it. The lamp with shade stands 37" tall with shade on it. There is a fabric type rose which is pinned to the shade. This is the history that I know about the lamp. It belonged by my girl friend's great grandmother so she is guessing it is over 100 years old. This ... moreis all original. The Table Lamp measures 32" tall to the top of the finial. 12" wide across the dragons busts, with the metal base being 7" across. There are shaped openings around the neck and middle of the lamp which go completely around the lamp and are painted in gold. There is one small chip to one of the flowers but other than that I don't see any problems. The lamp is in excellent working condition. This is a True masterpiece to place in the center of Your Home Decor. These two pieces cannot be shipped in the same box as I believe the shade would be crushed in shipping. Vintage Victorian Porcelain Lamp; Bedside, Desk, Vanity, Powder Room
This dainty little porcelain lamp is a beauty. It came from the estate of a Victorian lady's boudoir. Circa mid 1930s. Even though that is later than the Victorian era, I understand from the family she was truly a Victorian Lady! The porcelain lamp is in near pristine condition and the only flaws I can find are a couple of areas of almost microscopic paint loss on the gold gilt"handles" The base appears to be brass with heavy patina at first glance but I think it may be made of iron or some other heavy metal. The lamp works and has what appears to be the original cloth covered wire which is in good condition. The plug is Leviton and is. I believe, Bakelite. The bulb receptacle, made by Eagle, appears to be a replacement. The harp is missing and there is no shade. With the addition of the right shade, I would think the lamp could ... moreeasily be used without a harp. It stands about 13-1/2" high to the top of the bulb receptacle and about 6" wide at the widest point. This would be lovely in shabby.
