I have up for sale a wonderful vintage circa 1910-1920s signed H A BEST LAMP CO Chicago. Ill USA lamp base- originally meant for a slag glass lamp. The ring diameter for the ring fitter would be approx 2-3/4" diameter. The lamp is very ornate and has the original antique gold finish. It stands approx 22" no including the finial which may or may not be the original but looks good together. It is in Very Good to Excellent Condition- No damages but a few minor manufacturing mold imperfections- a few small inclusions- basically what you see in pic#2- maybe a couple more but nothing thats any real big deal. No chips. No cracks, No repairs, its as it was from the factory. I am unsure if the sockets are original or not- The top caps have a bright yellowish tint but the bottoms look correct- I am not sure just pointing out what I see. The ... morehas been rewired with a rayon cord and the plug is a newer replacement as well. Gothic or Victorian Glass Lamp Shades You are bidding on two beautiful Gothic or Victorian looking lamp shades. These are authentic antique shades(not reproductions) that are in excellent condition. They are hand painted in brown on the unique design. The inside top of the shade is rough with what seem like chips but it is the craftsmansh i p of these old shades. They a re heavy and solid but delicate at the same time. They stand 5 1/2" high and the base diameter is 4 3/4" at the widest edge and approx 4" at the very bottom base of the shade. ANTIQUE SLAG GLASS OR REVERSE PAINTED BRONZE TABLE LAMP BASE WITH DOUBLE SOCKET
No manufacturing marks found. Two tone bronze patinas. Base is yellow bronze casting the upper classical urn body is a dark liver patina. I took the base apart looking for identifying larks and showed interior in photos. Light sockets work with original wiring and toggles. this is a slag lamp base from the 1920's sturdy enough to hold a very large slag glass canapy. Only one defect is minor dent in the shadows of side that I backlighted to exaggerate for you to see better. It is not noticable. Found in North Crown Heights. Brooklyn Historic district.

The gold coloring cast iron(I believe is cast iron) has started to fade in some places. We believe the lamp was made by Pittsburgh. The lamp shade measure's 18" in width and 7" in height. The base measure's 7-1/2" The total height of the lamp is 23" One of the clips that hold a slag panel in on the shade is missing. I believe hand painted flower table lamp in great shape with no damage noticed! this lamp is unmarked as jefferson used paper labels and most fell off or were removed when purchased as jefferson put them on the side of lamps instead of bottoms as most other companies did. The best I can make out is Plux. You can tell the light socket part is new& the plug at the end of the cord is new. It is in excellent shape and a beautiful lamp. 1920's Antique Art Deco Brass and Genuine Milk Glass Dome Lamp Shade Hand Painted Ceiling Lamp Light Shade This listing is for a very nice antique art deco shade. It dates from the 1920's. Along with the shade I am also including the brass ring. This is a very large light shade. The diameter of the large dome shade is 17" and it hangs an amazing 7 1/2" high. This is a very heavy shade as well. Suitable to be the center piece in a nice large room. Ring could make it possible to hang from the ceiling or attach to a hanging fixture. This is an absolutely stunning hand painted colonial style genuine milk glass shade. The outside of the shade has a satin finish. The large glass lamp shade does have 2 chips. One is along the edge which would not be visible behind the brass ring. The other is on a white part of the shade itself, ... moreso it would be almost impossible to see it from the floor looking at it. There are no cracks aside from the normal wear found on the fitter edge. The shade looks amazing when lit and it was hard to show in the pictures. The lamp is painted a light pink/purple hazey color, which is most likely original. I cannot say for sure if the flowers were added later. Overall condition of the shade is good for its age. Antique Boudoir Lamp Czech Reverse Painted Landscape Glass Shade
This is a very nice Antique Boudoir Lamp with a Reverse Painted Landscape Scene on the Glass Shade and Painted Glass Base with Czechoslovakia Stickers. This lamp includes a beautifully hand painted glass shade. Featuring a continuous landscape of trees, farmhouses, lakes and mountains in the distance. It is painted in beautiful tones of a brownish orange, blue, green, brown and white. Appears intended as a winter scene with snow on the roof, ground and trees. The pattern on the shade repeats once but seamlessly. The base is also very fine glass with the same brownish orange background color, and is hand painted on the outside surface with landscape scenes similar to the shade except without houses. The lamp is 12 inches high overall including the shade, the shade is 6-3/4 inch diameter. The lamp is operational with a 15 watt bulb and would ... moremake a beautiful night light. There is one"Czechoslovakia" sticker taped to the bottom of the shade, and another"Czechoslovakia" sticker glued to the base. No company names or signatures are found. Clearly this lamp is from the electric light vintage as there would be no escape for fuel heat or combustion products, or entrance for oxygen. Looks similar to a Ruckl or a Bellova, but an internet search did not turn up any exact matches. Condition: The shade and base are in very good vintage condition having no cracks. Repairs, or repainting. There is one small chip about 1/8 by 1/8 by 1/16 inch deep in the base at the surface hole where the cord exits. Electrically, the socket and cord look original. The cord has been taped at the exit from the base and the fabric is worn from the cord near the tape and near the plug. Consideration should be given to rewiring the lamp from the socket to the plug. Overall. This beautiful lamp is in very good original condition, is in good working order, and displays beautiful natural landscape scenes when lit. This is a rare and beautiful antique American table lamp from the famous firm of Bradley& Hubbard(Meriden. Connecticut 1852-1940) The glass shade has the shape of a modified pine cone and an unusual reverse painted design depicting a blue lattice basket surrounded by gold and green leaves. The body and pedestal are made of hollow bronze. The hand painted design done on each of the 4 panels matches the colors of the lamp. Each of the four panels of the shade is identified by the engraved company name. Bradley& Hubbard Manufacturing Co. The shade measures approximately 17” in diameter and about 9” tall. The shade glass has a vertically ribbed texture on the outside and has an overall frosted look to the inside of the shade. The lamp base is a bronze-bronze color with a crackled texture and is shaped like a slender urn. The edges are hand beveled(see photos) It appears the texture in the glass was achieved by placing grass or twine in the mold producing a random pattern of texture. Antique Oil Lamp Cranberry Glass Cased Cut White Bohemian Moser Hnbd Painted 12"
A gleaming pristine beauty. It measures 12"h complete, including with the glass chimney fitted in place into the brass neck. Individually each unit measures 6"h. There is only a breath of wear to the gold trace line around its corseted waist. Widest diameter is 3 1/4" at just above its base. The true raised foot of the base measures 2 1/2" dia. It is truly a stunning yet subtle little charmer having all the elements of much bigger pieces but an eye catcher even among my art glass collection. I have had this for nearly forty years and always referred to it as a piece of Moser. It is however not marked. Nor are there any markings on the brass work either. Just conjecture. The brass is clean and as long as I've had in a show case just about untarnished. Knob turns and works. Never used by me. She is a heavy little lady ... moreand so flat rate is the best way to go. Vintage BRISTOL Glass Oil Lamp LEIPZIG H.S. Hand Painted Flowers This is an older tall oil lamp that was bought in an antique shop in the early 1970's. It is mostly glass with a brass burner. It is a very light jade green opaque white with hand painted flowers in orange and blues with green leaves. The maker's name is imprinted on the flame adjustment knob. The lamp was made in two parts and fused together. The top part is the fuel cell and the base is hollow. The bottom has a hole from the manufacturing process. The lamp appears to work and the adjustment knob is difficult to turn. But works fine when the wick is removed, so may not be the right sized wick. The chimney is missing, other wise is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or breaks. A very nice older piece that would look great on any mantle or in any collection. Lamp comes complete with the chimney and octagon shaped upper globe as pictured. The Model 23 burner has been electrified. Burner was altered for the conversion but font tank remains unchanged. With a new burner this lamp could easily be changed back to oil if desired. Glass parts are in great condition with no chips or cracks. The shade ends are rough cut. The chimney is the lox on type and is faintly marked Pyrex and Aladdin. Hand painted decoration depicts a green leafy plant design with purple and violet colored flowers. Exquisite Antique Hanging Glass Lamp w/Hand-Painted Violets, Robin's Egg Blue
This listing is for the most beautiful little hanging lamp made of frosted satin glass. White with 2 hand-painted bands of robin's egg blue and a central motif of deep blue violets with little peach-colored flowers and green leaves. The turnkey is in an Art Deco style, and this lamp dates from probably the 1920s to early 1940s. The central floral motif is repeated on 3 sides, and each side has just a tad of wear as on the side shown. The twisted rayon cord and plug are in excellent shape. The lamp is shown turned on with a 40-watt bulb, and it's absolutely exquisite with the soft light shining through the frosted glass. It measures 6-1/2" tall to the top of the hardware where the cord comes out and 4-1/4" diameter at the bell of the shade, perfect for hanging in a corner or above a dressing table. The turnkey has a good"snap" ... moreto it. It's in very good condition, having only several tiny nicks on the inner edges of the glass rims but nothing that shows. Vtg antique hand painted glass violets lamp
This is a very pretty vintage lamp that I bought at an Estate Auction so I don't know the history of it. It is hand painted with a violet design. It works! I've never seen an electrical cord like this before. It seems to have a cloth over rubber cord that is in 2 different cords. It's attached at the socket section. I believe the base is made of iron( The base is numbered either 19(or 61 upside down) See pictures. It measures 11 1/2" tall to where the light bulb goes in and 6" at the widest glass section. ANTIQUE REVERSE PAINTED FRENCH CHINOSERIE FIGURAL LAMP OPALINE GLASS SHADE 37"
We are pleased to offer this exquisite. Antique lamp. This grand lamp(37" with shade attached) features an ornate, bronzed spelter frame with intricate details. The base of the frame has ornamental urns with bellflower swags. There are geometric circles for contrast. The lamp base houses 4, bent, ribbed glass panels which are reverse painted in a rose or chrysanthemum motif. The base is lighted separately(functions independently) from the top of the lamp and operates with one standard bulb and a pull chain on/off switch. The center section of the lamp features 3 large figural putti. This trio act as the weight bearers for the large glass lamp shade. The opaline glass shade is a light tan color on the exterior and white on the interior. The glass is fairly thick and features a deeply swirled pattern. It sits into the ornate lamp fitter ... morewhich features a pattern of acanthus and shells. The top section also utilizes a single, regular bulb and also operates with its own pull chain on/off switch. This is a beautiful lamp. Neither the frame nor the glass is marked or signed. It has strong French characteristics with a chinoserie style. It is in very good condition with very little evidence of age or use. There is a general aged patina to the frame. But no rust or broken sections. The glass pieces are in very good condition with wear limited to the fitter sections of the glass. The wiring is vintage but has been updated at some point. The lamp is working beautifully. The lamp is 29" tall without the shade attached and is 37" tall with the shade in place.
