18-1/2" high G. E. looks bronze but is probably copper) lamp which has the old"bumpy" diffused glass held by the copper frame& small rounded brass screws. As shown. would look great with a good looking slag glass) It has no damage, just the patina of age with a few gentle"bumps" at the top corners and edges. All of the glass is intact with no cracks or breaks and the lamp is good, solid and very heavy for its size. I am assuming it is made by"G. E. as the switch indicates or, perhaps, it was just a G. E. switch. The lower edges of the shade measure about 10-1/4" square and the base measures about 4-1/4" square. I think it has its original wiring and cord. Works just fine. it will be shipped as one unit with shade in place.

Up for bids is a fantastic old lamp from a Cape cod estate. It is in excellent original condition with only light wear. It stands about 16" tall to the top of the arm. The shade is about 7 1/2" in diameter. And the base is about 6 1/2" in diameter. The cord is in good shape and free from cuts or splices. The plug is the original bakelite type. The chrome has no rust and very nice luster. A classic lamp. Thanks for looking.

Vintage industrial desk lamp. Features metal articulating arms. Cast iron joints, a vintage cast base, an aged brass lamp shade, and three antique cast iron valve handles. The shade, base and handles have a wonderful patina. Wiring is brand new reproduction brown twisted cloth cord and a new antique style plug. Everything works perfectly and safely. The brass socket and turn key have an oil-rubbed bronze finish. The base is a heavy cast iron. Three separate joints enable the lamp to be positioned in a wide variety of ways. DESIGN: This striking Brass Mid Century Modern table/desk reading lamp is stylishly designed with superb Atomic details. It has 2 points of articulation. One on the main support post which allows rotation and angling of the counterweighted arm. The second being the joint at the domed shade assembly which rotates or angles the shade in the same manner. The inner shade light diffuser lifts off of the domed housing body for bulb access. CONDITION: Overall the lamp is in outstanding condition. There are very light signs of use with no bending. Dings, cracks or evident repair. The lamp parts are all solid Brass(with the exception of the cast iron base weight and shade ... moreassembly) which shows faintt surface wear and a little tarnish patina. The lamp retains an original 3-way spin switch fixed to the shade assembly bottom which is electrically sound and functions safely, the power cord is probably original appliance grade insulated wire which is completely functional and safe. Here we have an antique industrial lamp from the Machine Age. This lamp is both articulating and telescoping. This lamp has an interesting mount that is designed to mount that is concave and meant to a pipe. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LARGE CAST IRON BASE THAT THIS LAMP IS ON IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE. I only used that as a way to attach the lamp to show you how it can be mounted and articulated. I would recommend just getting a small section of pipe and 2 wall mountable elbow joints at any hardware store and screwing them into the wall to mount this lamp to it. While this lamp can be mounted and used as shown in photo 1 it is not designed to lock into place as such and is designed to be used as shown in photos 8 and 9. This antique industrial looking table lamp is wrought iron with a brass arm. Font, and finial with the arm being movable from side to side. It has 3 iron decorated feet and is about 20 1/2" high. There is a hammered iron ball on the bottom where the electric cord comes out of, and the bottom side of the feet are a bit rusty looking but very solid(see picture) This lamp has a lot of character, and I used it as a table lamp but it would look great on a desk or next to a bed. 1930S-1940S ANTIQUE INDUSTRIAL STEAMPUNK FACTORY-OFFICE DESK LAMP WITH DOUBLE-ARMS& NOTE-PAD PLATFORM& ANTIQUE GLASS ART DECO DESIGNED SHADES. This lamp is circa 1930s1940s and has a thick square plug-see pic provided. the double-arm frame is nice with Industrial Machine-age Steampunk sockets marked"Leviton" and sockets holders with circles in them-the socket metal holders have the three original screws in each which are used to hold the shades in place(see close-up pics provided) This is a sort of factory office desk lamp as it has a platform for notepad. Pen, and paper-etc. to be placed on(see pics) with original green felt on it-the felt could be replaced by buyer to freshen up the platform/lamp with a nice navy blue felt pad-it would look lovely-I have left it as it is in original undisturbed condition for the integrity ... moreof the piece so you see that the felt is worn and aged and dusty but is very easy to place a new piece of felt of your choosing(see pics of this feature) The switch to the lamp is located on the front of the platform/base-it is slightly askew and turns on and off well, I have not tried to straighten it. The double-curved-arms and the sockets/holders have some tarnishing/wear/and oxidation to the surfaces and to the finish-the socket holders have some rusting-please see pics-some parts are metal and some parts may be brass-the rod and/or arms may be brass or metal I am unsure-please view pics. Lamp works well and takes standard bulbs or candelabra bulbs like the ones which I used in the lamp in pics-see pics. The 2 glass shades have lovely art deco designs(see pics) Each one measures approx. 4.5" tall x 4" wide-the glass shades have no cracks or stains but have some chips on the top rims(please see pic provided and realize these chips) which are the rims that fits under the metal holders-the chips are not seen as the rims fit into and under the metal holders-please view pics to understand description.
