I am not sure how to describe it, but think it might be reverse painted in shades of gold and cream; it is embellished with three dimensional roses, leaves and vines(not sure if this is considered spelter technique? Above the glass is a handsome grape and grape leaf design. The lamp base itself(from table to the bottom of the socket) is approximately 22, but the height to the screw to which the finial attaches is approximately 33. This is a beautiful pair of victorian table lamps They are very ornate and are original the leaded glass/stained glass shades are in great shape with no visible breaks. the bases retain 975 of the original paint. one lamp does have a replacement cord on it the other has an older one that is not frayed and is still in usable shape. check out the pictures and you will see what fine examples these two lamps really are. the lamps stand 15 inches tall. Old Antique Vintage American Brilliant Cut Glass Art Nouveau Art Deco Lamp
ANTIQUE LAMP AMERICAN BRILLIANT CUT GLASS Found in a local estate auction is this beautiful cut glass lamp with a pointed mushroom shade. It dates to the early 20th century. It measures about 17.5" high. Perfect for a boudoir. It is in good condition, no damage aside from minor fleabite chips around the base edge. The prisms are not all original and one is missing. Some have small chipping. This lamp was so dirty that I thought the metal was brass. I thoroughly cleaned it and found under the grime the metal is silverplate. It has a pull chain socket and takes a c-7 chandelier type bulb. The wiring is not original but is still very old and does work. It has an on/off switch on the cord. All old wiring should be checked for safety before use. The socket is marked Bryant. I could not find any other markings. Use my photos for condition ... moredescription. This pair of lamps stand 15.5" tall and they have cardboard sockets covered with a removable metal protector.There are no manufacturing marks on these and I am not sure what kind of metal these are made of but they are heavy.Just in case these have been painted I have included a pic of what the metal looks like with the bottom plate removed. Looks great when high lighted against the caramel glass in a dim room. I have taken a number of pics in dim light to show this off. The base is solid and heavy to support the large shade. Although unmarked it is probably a Pittsburgh lamp. I have had all new wiring installed so this lamp is go to be used right out of the box but as always use caution and inspect after shipment before use. Antique French newel post lamp Heroic female figure in spelter with a brass foliate circle both with attractive bronze patinantion and two sockets with copper plated iron cups Signed A Rucho on the base and marked Made in France dating from around 1910 It is currently wired for a newel post with no cord. Peter was the grandson of Jabez Boswick, who was the Secretary Treasurer of Standard Oil and partners in business with the Rockefeller brothers. This is an Antique Art Nouveau Bisque Vase or Urn Lamp with Gold Gilt and Hand Painted Floral from an American Polo Estate. It comes to us directly out of Peter Boswick's Gilbertsville. NY Manor House ... morehere in the United States. The overall color is a very soft, chartreuse green. It is on a marvelous bronzed, filigree metal base. It measures 34" high from the base to the top of the finial x 7 1/2" wide from side to side, and weigh 5 pounds, 15.5 ounces. The shade is 17" high x 18" wide and seems like a"marriage" of eras, since the painting is very Art Nouveau, and the shade seems to be very Victorian by design. This does show some chips to the base and will need to be rewired. It is a very pretty hand painted bisque lamp. Antique Bradley & Hubbard Bronze Lamp and Smoker's Stand Art Nouveau Era
This Bronze stand has two Bradley& Hubbard Makers' Marks on the bottom of the base and on the bottom of the removable threaded ashtray. The piece has an overall height of 28 inches and is 12 inches wide at its widest part. It is made from what appears to be very heavy solid bronze with the original chocolate patina intact. Truly a collector's piece! Please note that the threading which the ashtray screws into is slightly bent and may need to be replaced which is a simple fix. Antique floor bridge lamp rewired with pull chain glass shade houze art nouveau
I have other lamps listed and more on the way. This is a beautiful old lamp with some original paint but it is worn. They just don't make lamps like this anymore this is so neat. The base has a cool design the 4 corners almost look like a face in the design. It has been rewired so it is ready to use. The socket has a pull chain and the glass shade is nice again it has wear but no chips or cracks. It does have a small white spec incased in the glass this is normal in really old glass and lets you know it is old.

ANTIQUE MATCHED PAIR ART NOUVEAU 1920 - 1940 ERA BEDROOM DRESSER LAMPS SATIN
We have for your viewing and bidding pleasure 2 antique and or vintage bedroom dresser lamps. They are a matched pair in a satin glass. They appear to be in the art nouveau style and form. The lamps have a gentleman and woman dancing with her dress flowing upward and outward. The figures are highly detailed and show the man's shirt collar with a tie and buttons on his coat with a vest. The lady is barefoot. We have no idea of the exact year of these lamps. We speculate anywhere from the 1920's to 1940's era. The cords are the type from around the 1930's era. The cords are the same but the plug ends are different. One plug has been taped with black friction tape. Both lamps work. The switches go on and off. The lightbulbs we used for the photos are for demonstration only and do not work. They are also of different size so the ... morephoto that shows the shades on the lamps. One is a little higher than the other. The shades will come with the lamps but no lightbulbs(we would suggest a 25 to 40 watt lightbulb so the shades do not get hot and get burnt) The shades are in good condition. One is better than the other. This other one has a few soiled and/or stained spots. At the bottom side base area of both lamps there is a notch in the glass for the cord to come out of so the lamps set level. To the right of this notch on both lamps in embossing they have the word COPYRIGHT. The glass on the lamps are in perfect condition with no cracks or breaks. The lamps were fairly recently obtained from a first pick estate sale and the lamps were obtained directly out of the bedroom off of the dresser and unplugged. With the 25 watt lightbulb in and the shade snapped over the lightbulb they stand 16 3/8” high. The figures themselves are about 5 ½” high. From the bottom of the base to the top of the man's head it is 7 ½” high. Across the base they are 4 ½” wide. Magnificent antique victorian/ art nouveau table lamp c.1920s* This is a gorgeous antique lamp which stands 18 inches high and is 8 inches wide at the base. The materials include brass and other metals I'm not sure of. A magnet doesn't stick to most of it including the foot so its not iron-It is heavy though. There is a gold finish on the lamp. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a fancy triple cut crystal pull at the end of the chain. The base has a beautiful acanthus leaf design. Antique Metal Slag Glass Lamp, 7 Panel, Signed, RAINAUD #C, Art Nouveau 23"
This is an antique Rainaud lamp. The bottom of the lamp is stamped Rainaud C with the number 30 in the center at the bottom. Parts of the lamp are metal. And other parts are a metal like material. The two light bulb sockets look to have been changed in recent years. The lamp stands 23" tall. And the shase is 17.5" across the bottom. The lamp is heavy. And will need to be shipped in a large box with lots of padding which will be reflected in the shipping price. To ship will be around 20 pounds. I include insurance at no extra cost. In the photos you will see where the paint has faded off of the inside of the glass panels of the shade. The lare glass shade is missing a panel as you can see in the photo. The vase was designed by the famous Carl Luber for the firm of Johann von Schwarz in Germany around 1900. Majolica portion measures 10 inches high, and lamp to the top of the socket measures 13 1/2 inches tall. Condition is excellent. One set of gentle marks to the reverse. Shown in the photographs, but these are extremely hard to see, and are not a different color. It's possible it's nothing at all. Antique L & F Moreau, Cast Spelter "Harvesters" Table Lamp Set-Art Nouveau
A great pair of L& F Moreau spelter and polychrome enamel table lamps. Beautifully sculpted in the art nouveau style. These two are the most beautiful/handsome"Harvesters" you will ever see and they are in pretty nice condition. He' has almost all of his enamel decoration(one small touch up on copper tube) but has been rewired, where'She' is missing quite a bit of the enameling but has what appears to be original wiring. There are shades with these, but with a little hunting, a nice set can be found. They measure about 7 1/4"W at the base x 14 3/4"T to the top of the figures x 33"T to top of the finials. Awesome antique victorian-art nouveau era table lamp early 20th c. This beautiful antique lamp stands 16 inches high and is 6 inches wide at the base. The fancy pierced shade ring is decorated with 30 strands of crystal lustres. These crystals have had new brass bow tie pins added to them. The socket is a brass pull chain with a fancy double cut crystal pull on the end. The lamp has been rewired. On the fancy floral solid brass final is a small area of pitting that doesn't effect function- see pix of this area. The finish on the lamp is bronze and gold. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the crystals end. These decorator bulbs can be found in any home center or home depot. Art Nouveau Antique Bronze L & F Moreau, "Collection Francaise" Made in USA
L&F Moreau were two brothers who were part of the Moreau dynasty of sculptors from Dijon. France in the 19th century. L&F Moreau were perhaps best known for creating highly ornate clocks and garniture sets in both bronze and spelter. The L stands for L ouis Auguste(1855-1919) Known for bronzes and metal sculptures. The F stands for Hippolyte F rancois(1857-1930) A painter and sculptor. Both of these men were each well-known artists and today are listed in the various important art guides(Davenports, Who's Who, etc. and their work commands high prices and they have exceptional auction records- their original bronzes commonly bring upwards of $10,000. Their L&F Moreau studio was their business partnership which produced spelter copies of both of their bronze sculptures(spelter is a bronze-like Pot metal that is lighter weight ... morethan bronze and made primarily from zinc) It's important to note that L&F Moreau also individually produced bronze and spelter pieces and signed them Auguste and Hippolyte. but those signed with L&F Moreau marks were produced by this partnership studio. The saga of the original century plus old L&F French bronze molds that went underground to escape WWII destruction reads more like a scenario for a motion picture thriller than a chapter in the history of art. It all began in Paris in the 2nd half of the 19th Century. A group of talented artists. Trained at L'Ecole des Beaux Arts, developed a distinctive style that epitomized the classical grandeur rooted in ancient Greece and Rome. French foundries began their now famous works in"French Bronze. Around the turn of the century the Beaux Art style was followed in popularity by Art Nouveau and Art Deco, which were also cast in"French Bronze" by the same foundries. UNUSUAL ANTIQUE SLAG GLASS FILIGREE HANGING ART DECO NOUVEAU LAMP LIGHT SWAG
Up for auction is an antique hanging 4 panel slag glass cast lamp with filigree. The lamp has 4 curved and tapered panels. All in excellent condition, no cracks or repairs. Each varies in color. The lamp measures 13" long X 6" across at the top. The lamp will need a simple rewiring, it is not currently working. There is some tarnish/pitting on one side of the fixture as this was probably hung outdoors on a porch. The chain that is currently attached is about 10" long.
