Made in Germany sometime between 1850 and 1899. The body is hand painted with a Dresden Pattern. There is a large polychrome floral spray on one side and a small sprig on the other. The pieces stand 6-1/2" high with a width of 5" the diameter of the base is 3-1/2" The base is marked with the Blue Crossed Swords. Both vases are in very good pre-owned condition, there is some usage wearing on the edges of each base, light handling wear to the gilt rim edging in various spots and a very small chip on the bottom edge just beneath the gilt rim. Also note that the inside bottom of each piece shows quite a bit of dirt from usage and there is a small gray spot on the inside of the flare in one vase(it might be a natural imperfection in the glazing. Antique 1800's Cherub Lamp Shade w/Grecian Women
Hello I have a lamp that came from Greece and is from the 1800's era. It is in wonderful condition. The shade has beautiful cherubs on the shade and shade measures 14 inches across at the bottom of the shade. The lamp measures approximately 40 inches tall and that is measured from the base of the lamp to the top of the hurricane globe. At the time of my purchase which was several years ago it had no prisms and I added approximately 64. I had this lamp electrified so it would be of use. I don't like havering anything that can't serve a purpose for me. I will have to charge 75.00 to ship in the USA more if purchased internationally. I will have to get help from Fedex for packing. Antique Paris Porcelain Converted Oil Lamp 1800's/ Green
I found this at a thrift store. It is 10" tall and 4" across base. It is heavy. It weighs almost 2 1/2 lbs. It is hand painted with 2 shades of green and black. The is a spot of brown discoloration on the back see 9th photo. No chips or cracks. The base is tarnished and I haven't tried to polish it. I don't know when it was converted. It has a newer style plug and the cord is 6' long. Works. Would be a super cute bedroom lamp with a white ruffled shade. I don't know what year this was made but I would guess mid to late 1800's.

Beautiful and intricate design with bird motif. 32 inches from the base to the finial There are small scratches as seen in close up images. They do not have electrical. Antique Bronze? Candelabra Lamp 1800's 9 Candles Electrified Yrs Ago
Looked all over but could not find a maker's mark on this gorgeous candelabra that was electrified many years ago(note frayed cloth cord) Someone glued a glass or Plexiglas spire to center candle holder so that needs to be taken off and white cardboard candle/bulb holder replaced. There are a couple of repairs that were done ages ago(one candle holder reattached and one arm reattached) I would say this probably dates from late 1800's and looks to be very Eastlake in design and decoration. I am not an expert on lamps though. This lamp is well worth restoring as electric one or just as an old candelabra used at a time before electricity.Measures approx. 17 1/2" high not counting center spire and 10 1/2" wide.

Antique late 1800's Gone with the Wind Ruby Red Parlor Table Oil/Kerosene Lamp
I bought this lamp from an estate dealer. It came from an estate of a home in upstate New York. It is from the late 1800's- well over 100 years old. It is in very good condition. I have used it a bit and as you can see it lights up very well. I turned down the lights and lit the oil lamp so you can see how much light it throw out in the last three pictures. In the last three pictures I turned the lights out and it really illuminates well. The lamp to the top of it's chimney is 19" and about 6 1/2" at the widest part of the red globe. great lamp!

Greetings. We are very pleased to offer this STUNNING antique glass mini oil lamp in amazing near mint condition. I am unsure of the maker. But it came from an antique store storage, and still had a $295 price tag on it from over 35 years ago. The tag said"Antique Blown Molded glass oil lamp- Nailsea? with the question mark, so I leave it up to better eyes than myself to decide if the antique store was correct. I will however be asking close to the same price they asked in 1978. Please see the detailed pics- I hope they do the color and condition justice. The lamp. Burner and glass shade/hurricane are all included as shown in pics. The lamp and burner appear to be original, but it is unknown if the hurricane shade is original. As shown from the bottom of the lamp. The colors swirl in"bubble swirls" around the lamp. The glass ... morethickness varies, and is embossed with swirls on the outer surface and molded leaf crown around the bottom. the colors range from almost white, to almost dark cranberry. The effect of the color is almost like veins. I hope the pics do it justice. It is quite beautiful, and almost perfect in every way. Definitely a prized collectors piece. And most likely from the Art Nouveau or aesthetics movement era due to the floral leafy swirly decor. Decoration: the glass color and design is exquisite. Antique "Lectrolier Limited" Bronze over Copper Lamp, late 1800- early 1900 LOOK
This lamp is ancient. I had looked it up several years ago and remember it being one of the first electric lamps made. But unable to find anything about it now. It is unoperatable and needs complete refurbishing. There are some stress/ age cracks as seen in pictures. This lamp probably had a globe glass shade at one time. It is bronze over copper if I remember correctly from previously looking it up. The images I feel are of the great tragedy of the theater. Great theme. Anyway. Very rare and hard to find item. over 100 plus years old. Would be an amazing piece for anyone who collects art. Elegant gold colored gilt/bronze and black candle stick lamp with custom silk shade with pleats and ruffle. Perfect for bedside. In excellent working condition. We are moving and I must part with it. The shade and other glass pieces have hand painted florals and are in excellent condition- no cracks or chips. This lamp is brass with engraved or embossed design of a peasant style house and hay trailer. It is late 1700's or early 1800's. It is 7.75 inches tall and 4 inches from the end of spout to the back of lamp. It includes 3 pieces but the wick pick is missing. There is a maker's mark on the bottom. It is a candlestick with the letters"G" on left. H" underneath, S" on right side of candlestick It is in great condition although there is some soldering lead around bottom of top piece that could be original or a repair. Very rare nautical piece.

This brass whale oil ship's lamp is very ornate with lion's head embellishments and swirling lines decorating it from top to bottom. It is 9.75 inches tall and 4.75 inches from spout tip to back of lamp. It is in excellent condition. It includes 3 pieces but does not have a wick pick. It is late 1700's to early 1800's. I can only guess that it was designed for royalty b/c of the design and the decorative qualities it displays. It has numbers on the bottom but I do not think they are original to this piece. It is a beautiful piece of nautical history.

This is an extremely high quality 19th century antique Victorian gold gilded bronze and hand painted porcelain oil lamp made in Berlin. Germany. The body of the lamp is made out of thick porcelain and beautifully painted with an electric matte blue color. each side of the porcelain has nicely painted full body figures. they are done with a realistic approach and have very rich color. one is a female artist wearing a crown. Holding a paint brush in one hand and color palette in the other. the other is a male figure wearing a crown holding a hammer. the bottom of the porcelain body tapers inward and is also very nicely painted. the base is made from very thick gold gilded bronze and footed with 3 very large ornate claw feet. it has two detailed bronze ewer style handles with stylized lion faces on each side. the obscurely shaped font is also ... moremade from extremely thick gold gilded bronze and is a very heavy piece. it's also extremely detailed with a Victorian style and done in high relief. It removes from the base and has two control knobs at the top to operate the lamp. they are spring loaded and work great. the lamp measures 20 1/4 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches wide. it is in very nice antique condition and has acquired a lovely patina from age. there is a maker mark on the inside of the porcelain body but a bit hard to read. it has a very small hairline crack on the figure but very hard to notice. This is a stunningly rare antique 19th century Victorian silver-plated bronze oil parlor lamp. It is made with an abundance of very intricate ornate detailing and is a very high quality lamp. it is made from a bronze with a silver-plated finish which has acquired a patina from age. it is beautifully footed with very intricate legs and has beautiful trim wrapping the whole body done in high relief. the two large handles have demonic faces on the tops and double ball ends. there are also two very detailed embossed scenes of winged cherubs riding deer on each side. it has the original silver-plated font which is equally as ornate with embossed stylized detailing. it has a burner with a circular wick inside and works nicely. the burner has a 3 armed mount which holds the large thick milk glass shade. the shade is a heavy piece and has many detailed ... morespread winged bald eagles done in high relief. it has a wavy rim at the top and has a clear glass flute shade on tyne inside. the lamp is in nice antique condition and measures 16 1/2 inches tall by 10 3/4 inches wide. very high quality lamp. antique ornate early handmade 1800's copper brass electric figural table lamp
This is a stunning antique handmade copper figural electric table lamp. the copper shaft was once a early 19th century ewer that was turned into a lamp early 1900's. is made from a beautifully hammered copper. And has acquired a nice patina from age. it depicts several figures. Crests, floral detailing,and scroll design done in high relief. it has a great footed base and ribbed brass shaft. it has a dual brass generic sized bulb socket which has great on/off pull chains. it is topped with a large solid brass finial. measures 30 1/2 inches tall by 6 1/4 inches wide. it is in nice working shape, there is some ware and a couple small dings to the copper but nothing bad. A LITTLE HISTORY: It is thought that manufacturers created slag glass by taking slag. The waste content of metal ores, from iron-smelting works and adding it to molten glass. The process created a variety of effects, such as tortoiseshell and marbling. Slag glass is often found in brown, like this listed lamp} purple, blue, and green, with streaks of white or cream. The glass originally went by descriptive names such as, marble glass, or"brown malachite. The British company Sowerby patented its recipe for purple malachite in 1878. Lampshades were a popular application in both England and the United States. Nearly any lamp maker from the Art Nouveau period may have used slag glass in their lampshades. ... moreSome people often refer to any type of pressed glass containing swirls or streaks as"slag glass. According to a well know collectors publication, the key to identifying true slag glass is to look for obvious and richly marbled glass. THE LISTED LAMP: This lamp has varying shades of brown and cream. The glass is encased in a brass framing with decorative fretwork around the bottom of the shade. Each of the eight glass panels has an Art Nouveau design in the bottom center of the panel. The metal lamp base itself is rather different than many. In that it does not incorporate a top disc or finial by design. The shade fits over a large metal circle at the top of the harp structure to hold the shade. See photograph# 4& 8} Once in place, the shade will not come off without lifting it straight upward over the lip that is a bit higher than the shade. However, it will allow the user to somewhat easily rotate the shade to display the glass panel of their choice. While the base is not very elaborately decorated, or very thick in circumference, it does give an interesting look to the large shade.
