The crack took me a while to see but it is present yet the slag glass is holding inside the metal casting perfectly fine. The ... morerest of the lamp is in spectacular condition with not other flaws and a beautiful light patina showing through parts of the metal. Lamp is signed on the underside of the base. Base is heavy cast iron with a brass stem and cast iron metal holding the slag glass panels. Overlay metal work on the shade has a nice hammered aged look to it with some dust present and light surface scratches yet I think that is from production and not actu al scratches. The base is etched with a very nice leaf/floral design cut deep in to the cast iron. Also included with the lamp is an old 8 foot extension cord that match's the lamp's cord. This is an all original working early 1900's Signed(see picture. I cannot make out the signature? hand painted with a Lotus flower& Floral designed it has gold gilt, it is Porcelain or Ceramic. It can be used as a table or parlor/living room lamp, with a bronze or brass base it has been pierced with a art deco or Art Noveau design. It is in excellent condition, however it has no shade but does have the shade bracket and finial. There looks like a small line in one of the feather leaf handles but it does not go all the way thru, I am not sure if it is a hairline crack or just a line in the porcelain, you cannot feel it. I used this until recently and have no problems with it. It is truely an amazing piece. It measures 25" to top of socket and 34 3/4" to top of finial. This is one Beautiful 7 PANEL RAINAUD SLAG GLASS TABLE LAMP. I think it is wonderful and represents the very best of the Craftsmanship and pure Artistic output of Massachusetts and New England during the 1900`s all the way into the early Thirties. I also believe this is all original except for the obvious replacement of one of the Lampholders. They will never again make Lamps like this.using these materials and methods. MONUMENTAL, BRUTALIST WOODEN, STACKED BLOCK TABLE LAMP with PICKLED WHITE WASHES and EPISODES OF GREEN with DOUBLE, EXTENDED BRASS WIRE HARP and FINIAL! This just enormous table lamp commands real presence in any room. Towering upwards to almost four(4) feet high! It specifically measures 45" in overall height(including the original. Double extended brass wire harp and brass finial, x 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" in width. The wooden block base and wooden dowel central stem under the electrical assembly, measure 27" in overall height. This is quite a RARE and very unusual Brutalist piece of period lighting. In that it's constructed with found, irregular wooden blocks and not made from torched steel, as is found on many other Brutalist pieces of the Modernist period of design. I haven't been able(as of yet, to make any accurate attribution with those initials and unfortunately therefore, can't shed more light on its country of origin either. This attitude is reflected in how the lamp's construction keeps meandering upwards to reach nearly four feet in overall height! This lamp would command real attention in any room setting! The found pieces of pine wood blocks have what appears to be the remnants of white paint left on them, which now is thoroughly weathered and resemble more of a thin wash. There are also episodes of green paint(again, in the form of a wash) that occurs on two blocks on one side of the assemblage. REDUCED-RARE-ORNATE Vintage 1960s L & L WMC Table Lamp-Ewer-Signed-Art Nouveau
This auction is for a gorgeous vintage L&L WMC signed table lamp in the shape of an ornate ewer. The number stamp appears to be 8094. But it was very hard to read. Please see picture. I believe this lamp is brass, but I am not a metals expert. It does not appear to be magnetic. Very ornate. As you can see in the pictures. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a cherub or siren design. There is a face on 4 sides, but they appear to be that of a woman& not a cherub to me. The handle appears to have a sea serpent& the face below the"spout" appears to be similar to the faces on the body, but with wings wrapped around it. I know this time period is supposed to be cherubs, but to me this looks more like sirens. I believe this is a 3-way lamp, since I put a single bulb in it and it took 2 clicks to turn it on/off. 1 of ... morethe faces has a"smashed" nose(please see picture) This lamp is dirty& will need cleaned. I wiped it off to take pictures of it. But that is all I've done. There appears to be green tarnish on the bottom column. Item was completely loose when I got it, but I did try to tighten it. I will leave any additional tightening to the new owner, since my tightening seems to have left the ewer off center from the base& loosened the socket more than it was. I found this gorgeous lamp stored in a damp basement of an odds& ends shop, so it will definitely need to be cleaned up. Please look at all pictures& ask questions before bidding. Miller produced more expensive leaded glass lamps. But seized the opportunity to sell lighting for the middle classes as more and more homes were wired for electricity. The company sold lamps in bulk to utility companies in large cities who retailed them to their customers. A 1920 Philadelphia Electric Co. catalog shows lamps with prices from $12.50 to $60, depending on size. All the lamps are described as being“cast metal openwork” over“light amber art glass” and could be ordered in a variety of metal finishes including French brown, Grecian antique, Etruscan bronze and Florentine relief. While lamps were made with glass in colors other than amber. Or caramel as it is often called now, amber predominates. According to a lighting catalog from the period, Amber is the color used in all[our] lamps. Amber has, by scientific tests been proven to be easiest on the eyes, and most restful when reading. This is a beautiful antique lamp. It has a domed slag glass 6 panel shade with a painted green spade or leaf decoration. The shade is signed Handle and patent number 979664. The base is solid and very heavy with a bronze finish or patina The ball finial may not be original because it does not screw flat against the heat cap that holds the shade The slag glass is in good condition with no damage There is a break in the copper foil where one panel attaches to the center bar and needs to be soldered. Also a break in the fine filligree at the end of the spade because of the break. I show a close up in my last photograph. The lamp measures about 24.5" high. Antique art nouveau slag glass table lamp signed Bradley Hubbard. This lamp is completely original. Except for the cord has probably been replaced. Inherited from my aunt 8 years ago, it has been in the family as long as she could remember. It has a tight horizontal crack in the upper portion of one panel, hard to see but the picture shows it well. The green paint is all original and in great shape, there is very little wear, one spot high on the stem near the cluster where the paint is worn. Extremely heavy- Weighs 18 lbs. Very solid lamp. 21 1/2" tall, and 16 1/2" at the widest part of the shade. Base is 7" across.

U p for auction is this Magnificient ORIGINAL SIGNED lamp shade and base 1907 Puffy Pairpoint lamp. This is the best deal out there on Pairpoint Puffies. I am offering this lamp at an astronomically low starting bid. The lamp glows beautifully and rich when lit. Use low watt bulbs. As most of these shades were destroyed over the years from overheating. This is an ORIGINAL and Signed on both shade and base. The shade is decorated with pink and purple poppies and thorny green leaves stylized in a yellow basket weave effect. My neighbors absolutely went nuts when I placed this lamp in the front window for display for a couple of nights. This lamp measures 14" tall. The metalwork on the base and stem is a bronze and green finish. Very Tasteful. The original cloth cord still looks excellent and ready to use. There is a hairline in the shade that is unnoticeable unless you are looking really hard and look sideways towards the lamp when lit. Here is a nice green slag 8 panel shade in good condition. Signed Bradley& Hubbard on the top and four more places on the bottom. Every other panel holder on the bottom is stamped. Measures 15 and 1/2 inches point to point on the bottom. 6 and 1/2 tall by 5 and 1/4" point to point on the top. The metal has green patina in spots.
