BRADLEY HUBBARD LILY PAD AND LION PAW BASE - ART NOUVEAU PAINTED SHADE
BRADLEY HUBBARD ART NOUVEAU REVERSE PAINTED TABLE LAMP This auction is for a Bradley Hubbard lamp with reverse painted paneled shade. The base clearly shows the BH logo and has open metal work at the base around the lions feet and lily pads. The top final. Probably a pineapple, seems to match the metal at the top of the 3 lite cluster and is probably original to the base. This base stands about 22" tall, not including the finial. The 3 light cluster appears to have had atleast one socket replaced in the past and the lamp has been entirely rewired and fully functioning. The metal shows signs of wear and light surface rust in a few small areas, mostly around the toes of the paws and edges of the base. The shade is a ribbed bent panel glass with reverse painting. The framework supporting the panels is quite thick and sturdy and extremely ... moreunusual in shape. I did not find the BH mark on the shade. But neither did I remove any panels. If it exists, it is probably beneath the glass up around the vent cap. I strongly suspect that this is the original shade, although I found no reference to either the signed base or the shade in any catalogs or books. This shade rises about 5" high and has an 18" Wide outer diameter. All the panels are bent and reverse painted. The shade appears to be in very good structural condition but shows significant paint loss, mostly to the 3" wide glass skirt. Fortunately, the most significant loss is regulated on adjacent panels with 1/2 showing some loss and the other 1/2 showing significant loss. So, it'looks' better against a wall then in the'round' The shade is almost'true' showing acceptable variances and none of the glass is cracked. The lamp is suitable for use as is and has great'character' It is also a candidate for restoration and there is enough of the painted art nouveau. Wm. Morris type design remaining to restore the shade to original appearance. This shade will ship double boxed and oversized as it requires special considerations

Along with the shade I am also including the brass ring. This is a very large light shade. The diameter of the large dome shade is 17" and it hangs an amazing 7 1/2" high. This is a very heavy shade as well. Suitable to be the center piece in a nice large room. Ring could make it possible to hang from the ceiling or attach to a hanging fixture. This is an absolutely stunning hand painted colonial style genuine milk glass shade. The outside of the shade has a satin finish. The large glass lamp shade does have 2 chips. One is along the edge which would not be visible behind the brass ring. The other is on a white part of the shade itself, ... moreso it would be almost impossible to see it from the floor looking at it. There are no cracks aside from the normal wear found on the fitter edge. The shade looks amazing when lit and it was hard to show in the pictures. Antique Boudoir Lamp Czech Reverse Painted Landscape Glass Shade
This is a very nice Antique Boudoir Lamp with a Reverse Painted Landscape Scene on the Glass Shade and Painted Glass Base with Czechoslovakia Stickers. This lamp includes a beautifully hand painted glass shade. Featuring a continuous landscape of trees, farmhouses, lakes and mountains in the distance. It is painted in beautiful tones of a brownish orange, blue, green, brown and white. Appears intended as a winter scene with snow on the roof, ground and trees. The pattern on the shade repeats once but seamlessly. The base is also very fine glass with the same brownish orange background color, and is hand painted on the outside surface with landscape scenes similar to the shade except without houses. The lamp is 12 inches high overall including the shade, the shade is 6-3/4 inch diameter. The lamp is operational with a 15 watt bulb and would ... moremake a beautiful night light. There is one"Czechoslovakia" sticker taped to the bottom of the shade, and another"Czechoslovakia" sticker glued to the base. No company names or signatures are found. Clearly this lamp is from the electric light vintage as there would be no escape for fuel heat or combustion products, or entrance for oxygen. Looks similar to a Ruckl or a Bellova, but an internet search did not turn up any exact matches. Condition: The shade and base are in very good vintage condition having no cracks. Repairs, or repainting. There is one small chip about 1/8 by 1/8 by 1/16 inch deep in the base at the surface hole where the cord exits. Electrically, the socket and cord look original. The cord has been taped at the exit from the base and the fabric is worn from the cord near the tape and near the plug. Consideration should be given to rewiring the lamp from the socket to the plug. Overall. This beautiful lamp is in very good original condition, is in good working order, and displays beautiful natural landscape scenes when lit. This is a rare and beautiful antique American table lamp from the famous firm of Bradley& Hubbard(Meriden. Connecticut 1852-1940) The glass shade has the shape of a modified pine cone and an unusual reverse painted design depicting a blue lattice basket surrounded by gold and green leaves. The body and pedestal are made of hollow bronze. The hand painted design done on each of the 4 panels matches the colors of the lamp. Each of the four panels of the shade is identified by the engraved company name. Bradley& Hubbard Manufacturing Co. The shade measures approximately 17” in diameter and about 9” tall. The shade glass has a vertically ribbed texture on the outside and has an overall frosted look to the inside of the shade. The lamp base is a bronze-bronze color with a crackled texture and is shaped like a slender urn. It measures approximately ... more22 ½” high and the bottom base has a diameter of 7 ½” This lamp has three light sockets and is in perfect working condition. The lamp has been rewired and at least one socket and one pull is not original. The shade will probably need some cleaning and as I show in one of the pictures. This is an Absolutely Stunning Antique Porcelain Italian Hand-Painted Table Lamp. The lamp has two handles with winged gold gilded dragon bust figurines on it. The lamp has a capodimonte raised floral pattern on the lamp. Basic colors are green and white with gold trim. The original tag is still on the lamp and it says it was made in Italy. The lamp shade is very different and very large measuring 19" tall by 21" by across at the bottom by 11 1/2" across at the top. It is a gold filigree type lace over a metal type frame. The shade has some water stains on it. The lamp with shade stands 37" tall with shade on it. There is a fabric type rose which is pinned to the shade. This is the history that I know about the lamp. It belonged by my girl friend's great grandmother so she is guessing it is over 100 years old. This ... moreis all original. The Table Lamp measures 32" tall to the top of the finial. 12" wide across the dragons busts, with the metal base being 7" across. There are shaped openings around the neck and middle of the lamp which go completely around the lamp and are painted in gold. There is one small chip to one of the flowers but other than that I don't see any problems. The lamp is in excellent working condition. This is a True masterpiece to place in the center of Your Home Decor. These two pieces cannot be shipped in the same box as I believe the shade would be crushed in shipping. Polished Brass Aladdin 23 Table Lamp- Complete w Chimney and Hand Painted Glass Shade Description: Aladdin table lamp base section is made of brightly polished solid brass. Lamp comes complete with the chimney and octagon shaped upper globe as pictured. The Model 23 burner has been electrified. Burner was altered for the conversion but font tank remains unchanged. With a new burner this lamp could easily be changed back to oil if desired. Glass parts are in great condition with no chips or cracks. The shade ends are rough cut. The chimney is the lox on type and is faintly marked Pyrex and Aladdin. Hand painted decoration depicts a green leafy plant design with purple and violet colored flowers. The Shades are 4 1/4" Tall. The Shades measure 7 1/8" Across the Bottom and 2 3/4" Across the Top of the Shade. The Paint on the Lamp has been colored and written on and has rust. A ntique oil or kerosene lamp base and shade are hand painted in Gone With the Wind style. Both pieces are milk glass with maroon and pink flowers with white and blue with beading. Each is painted on both sides. The base is more teal than. The shade more blue and shade has a yellow band on the bottom rim. The base is cast bronze or brass with an ornate design and a screw in opening. There is no burner or chimney. It has not been electrified and there are no cracks. There is chipping on both rims of the shade only. There is discoloration around the area where there is paint loss. Possibly from spilled oil. Still good condition for it's age, which dates to the late 1800's to early 1900's and being sold as found, could be a fun restoration project. This is heavy and large. We are pleased to offer this exquisite. Antique lamp. This grand lamp(37" with shade attached) features an ornate, bronzed spelter frame with intricate details. The base of the frame has ornamental urns with bellflower swags. There are geometric circles for contrast. The lamp base houses 4, bent, ribbed glass panels which are reverse painted in a rose or chrysanthemum motif. The base is lighted separately(functions independently) from the top of the lamp and operates with one standard bulb and a pull chain on/off switch. The center section of the lamp features 3 large figural putti. This trio act as the weight bearers for the large glass lamp shade. The opaline glass shade is a light tan color on the exterior and white on the interior. The glass is fairly thick and features a deeply swirled pattern. The top section also utilizes a single, regular bulb and also operates with its own pull chain on/off switch. This is a beautiful lamp. Neither the frame nor the glass is marked or signed. Offering this quite nice and unique Antique Arts and Crafts Era Brass and Tin Table Lamp with Urn shape Handles and Bryant Electric Fixtures dated 1907. This high end lamp was expertly made by a Lamp making company of the Arts and Crafts Era. But with no markings on base, we cannot attribute it to a particular company. We have also been unable to find a similar shape and type lamp to compare. The Sailing Ship Silhouette painting is on a heavy tin type metal shade that has a solid brass ships wheel top with original brass finial. The Bryant fixtures are uniquely designed and seem original to the lamp. There are some paint misses on the ship paintings. As seen in photos and the threading on the lamp base at the top is slightly stripped, but seems correctible. The unusually heavy weight of the shade having been removed and replaced on the base ... morelikely caused the stripping damage. No other issues. The lamp is 26 inches to top of finial, and 5 1/2 inches square at the base. The handles are 9 inches across from back edge to back edge. The shade is 8 1/2 inches across at the top and 17 inches across at the bottom. Great and unique Arts and Crafts Era item for the decorator and collector.

Vintage Fringe Shade On Hand Painted Boudoir Lamp Asian Bamboo Motif
This is an absolutely beautiful vintage lamp. I believe the shade is a silk damask gathered on 2 sides with a center knot like ornamentation. The remaining 2 sides are free of embellishments, there are 4 pleated vertical side panels. The shade is 5 1/2"H, each center panel is 6" w, the side pleated vertical panels are 2 1/2" w, the fringe drop is 4 3/4" L. Overall from the finial it measures 24 1/4" H, the base circumference is 18" measured around the center which is the widest point. The base is brass with an ornate design, green felt bottom. Aside from the small tip chip in the back at the top of the ceramic piece which does not show due to the shade& fringe and can be filed out, I see no other issues. The hand painted details are gorgeous on what looks like a transfer design of tulips embellished with ... moregold tracing. The back is a single butterfly design in the center. It is shown lit in the photos, plug is in good condition. I love the faux bamboo handles on each side of the piece, no manufacturer's mark, but, it sure is a quality piece.

This reverse painted hanging glass globe shade is 7 inches in diameter with a 4 inch diameter fitter ring. Decorated on two sides with a parrot sitting on a leafy branch against a pale yellow background. This shade has been cleaned with a mild soap solution. There are small rust color specks in the glass on one side to the left of the parrot and above the branch. From a very prominent Hampton N.Y. estate sale we bring you this wonderful reverse painted pink glass shade. Sorry for the glare in the photos the glass with the exception of the painted art is pink. This is one of two that was in the hallway ceiling of an older large home. Would work on a lamp also. Find no damage has patina from being old and will need soap and water. Approx 5 1/4" tall top opening diameter approx 2 1/8" outside rim. Bottom opening inside 6 1/4" diameter. These are old you can tell the older glass making minor uneven spots from manufacture are present. The shade may be older than I am calling it late 19th early 20th century. Gorgeous Hand Painted Green Floral Gold Trimmed Lamp With New Dangle Shade- from the 1950's This is for a gorgeous hand painted floral lamp that is a very light sea foam green in color with beautiful pink. Blue& yellow flowers with gilt trim and an ornate bronze colored base. This beautiful lamp has a brand new light tan lamp shade that has dangling beaded work that hangs off the edges of the lamp shade. This shade goes beautifully with the lamp and just compliments the lamp in every way. The lamp is in fair condition with a piece of the lamp arm that has been glued back on. I have tried to document this in the pictures. It is not something that you would see unless you were inspecting this area very closely.
