Where an oil pot sits(not included) is 4 3/4" in diameter by 3" deep. The glass base/font is in great shape and the colors include greens. Yellows, pinks and a touch of brown accents. There are some dirty spots and possibly some fading. It might come out nicer with a deeper cleaning and polishing, but will leave that up to the high bidder. I basically dusted it for pics. There are four seams on this glass font. The foot and the front/back don't line up squarely and you can see this in the first four pictures of the front and sides. There are raised feathery/leafy designs in the glass at the top and bottom edges and on the two sides. The two sides have a slightly different feathery/leafy design. There is also a wide swirled rib pattern in the glass. I believe the flowers are Cosmos flowers. Or something similar. I can see some heavy swirls in the glass. Which adds nice character. Vintage BRISTOL Glass Oil Lamp LEIPZIG H.S. Hand Painted Flowers This is an older tall oil lamp that was bought in an antique shop in the early 1970's. It is mostly glass with a brass burner. It is a very light jade green opaque white with hand painted flowers in orange and blues with green leaves. The maker's name is imprinted on the flame adjustment knob. The lamp was made in two parts and fused together. The top part is the fuel cell and the base is hollow. The bottom has a hole from the manufacturing process. The lamp appears to work and the adjustment knob is difficult to turn. But works fine when the wick is removed, so may not be the right sized wick. The chimney is missing, other wise is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or breaks. A very nice older piece that would look great on any mantle or in any collection. Fine quality Bohemian 19th Century oil lamp. Hand painted Sparrows fighting A truly stunning. Rare and fine quality lamp base. This is similar to the Aladdin type lamp where you place the oil vessel into the lamp as opposed to pouring oil directly into the lamp itself. A wonderful cranberry coloured. Faceted glass body with a white glass inside giving it an opaque look. The body being hand enameled with a pair of fighting sparrows a butterfly and I think wisteria. The base I think is gilt bronze or ormolu. The gilding has been worn away from too much cleaning but you can see the gilding on the underside. The base is cast with scrolls and vines around the feet, which is so typical of the Arts and crafts or Art Nouveau movement. Measures 27cm or 10.5" tall by 13cm across the top. I have never sen anything quite like it and I cant find ... moreanything like it either. It is obviously very heavy so the price quoted is for delivery within the UK. 1800's Oil Lamp Hand Painted Floral Design Porcelain with Duplex Oil Lamp
1800's unsure of the maker of this beautiful lamp. It has hand painted floral design like those of Germany Dresden style. It has a Duplex oil lamp fittings. It was made without a factory mark. It does have numbers on one foot of the base and it appears to be 41 with a slash after the numbers. This is a striking piece of art. 30 1/4" tall with shade. This lamp is unmarked or the mark is covered up where the pieces are attached. It was converted to electrical even though the oil container does not have leaks or damage. It does have damage. It has chipped petals on some of the flowers and some may be missing. Both of the babies have damage as well. One is missing a thumb& the fingers were glued back on. But this hand is hidden on the shoulder of the other baby. The other one was repaired on the right side. The arm& hand was ... moreglued back on. This beautiful piece can be professionally repaired. A ntique oil or kerosene lamp base and shade are hand painted in Gone With the Wind style. Both pieces are milk glass with maroon and pink flowers with white and blue with beading. Each is painted on both sides. The base is more teal than. The shade more blue and shade has a yellow band on the bottom rim. The base is cast bronze or brass with an ornate design and a screw in opening. There is no burner or chimney. It has not been electrified and there are no cracks. There is chipping on both rims of the shade only. There is discoloration around the area where there is paint loss. Possibly from spilled oil. Still good condition for it's age, which dates to the late 1800's to early 1900's and being sold as found, could be a fun restoration project. This is heavy and large. Antique Porcelain Oil Lamp Base As Found Hand Painted Meissen Style Bronze Base
Up for auction is an antique porcelain and brass oil lamp base recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is offered in as found condition with a chunk taken out of the pedestal form base, best seen in photo#6. It is signed on the base, but I cannot make it out. It has a Meissen style quality. This oil lamp measures approximately 4 1/2" tall with a base measuring approximately 2 3/8" x 2 3/8" in size. One side has a woman in a garden setting with houses in the background. Primary colors are turquoise, pink, purple and gold on a white porcelain background. The collar area is approximately 1 1/8" in size. A very nice candidate for repair. Best of luck in bidding. Antique GWTW Hurricane Oil Lamp Hand Painted Electrified Pink and White
This antique Gone with the Wind hurricane lamp has been electrified and has a turn key off/on switch. It stands about 18.5" tall to the top of the globe type shade. The electric cord hangs from the socket. Not out the bottom of the lamp. It has a ornate cast metal 5" square footed base. The white milk glass body was hand painted with an orchid like bloom and has a smaller flower on the back side. The 9" globe type shade is white with a blush of pink color at top and bottom. It could use a chimney which is not provided with the lamp. The shade is unpolished and has rough edges at the top and bottom. The top hole has a small chip on the inner edge. Bulb is not included. From a family member's estate an antique 17" tall glass base oil lamp with frosted glass chimney. It is in good condition considering its age. With lots of patina and in need cleaning. The glass base is pressed/molded glass and has a hand painted floral design. I can't find any maker marks. It was used by family ancestors that lived in Hartford, Arkansas from before 1900. Victorian Gone With The Wind Lamp Oil Electric Hand Painted
A fancy Victorian Gone with the Wind style lamp converted to electric. The bottom section has a small bulb that does not burn. May need replacing. The top globe has a repair to the bottom rim area, a broken piece was glued. The good thing about this crack is that it cannot go any further, it started at the rim and circled back out to the rim, shown in photo. Beautiful green color, hand painted, was my favorite for years. Also has some chipping to bottom rim. No chimney. A little wear to paint, nothing major. Top light and switch works well. Antique large oil gone with the wind lamp with hand painted wine roses. This lamp is 29 inches in height and top globe is 11 inches in diameter. The lamp has a pale yellow background with blue. Highlighted with sprays of roses and greenery and roses. The lamp has never been converted although someone thought about it at some point in time. There is a hole drilled in the decorative base just large enough for an on off switch. The oil tank is still un drilled in the lamp and still has it wick. The top lamp shade has a very small hairline crack at the base where it sits in the fitter end, see last picture in description. Very hard to spot unless you are looking for it. Excellent Condition all Original but Top Globe was cracked in 1980 and replaced by a lady that hand painted another new globe perfect match. It is not converted to Electric the cable you see in the background is my Mom cable for our Tv lol. Also still has a unused wick and oil or kerosene? Very rare to see them not converted over to electric. I am glad it is not all original! No cracks no scratches looks perfect and beautiful for the age that it is. Antique oriental oil lamp. The globe is an off white matt finish porcelain. Hand painted with flowers in shades of terracotta, peach and gold. The top rim of the globe has a brass edge. The base is terracotta with carved dragons and textured foliage all around. The mounts on the top, wick and decorative base are brass. The two knobs are marked P Duplix A. It is a working oil lamp.
