Also I see the narrow section of the pedestal was damage and put back together. I do not know what technic the person used to do this repair and he has passed on now. Circa 1880's to 1900'Alva' pattern kerosene stand lamp. Please reference Thuro book 2 page 117 figure o& p for the opalescent versions of this lamp. Lamp is 7 3/4" tall to the top of the#1 fine line brass collar. With a 4 1/2" base diameter. Font. Stem and base all have an acid finish. Overall very condition with no large chips or cracks. Has the usual bubbles, straw marks, and base wear. Mold roughness, small nicks and small flat flakes along the edge of the base. Two internal bruises on the base. One on the top edge and the other on the underside. One internal bruise on the font in the middle center rib area. I did not see this until I was writing up my description an d checking for flaws. The font weighs 600g unpacked. It measures 5.5"14cm diameter across the top and stands just under 4.5"11cm tall. It can either be free standing or sit in a 5.25"13.3cm drop in ring. Condition is excellent. It appears not to have been used much if at all. The foot shows very light signs of wear(see pic) and there are no chips or cracks. The shade has to small chips to the fitter end that goes into shade holder so it is not visible when on the Lamp.The oil Reservoir is frosted Pressed Glass and the bottom part of the stem with painted Butterfly I Believe is a soft Blue milkglass. The base is footed and chased, etched. The burner is marked and has Patent date on the turn wheel for wick but my eyes are not good enough to make it out. Antique Depose Oil Lamp with Blue Thumbprint Glass Font and Silver Spelter Metal Base and Agate Stem Description: Footed table lamp has a brown colored agate or stone stem section. Base is silver finished spelter metal or maybe pewter. Glass font tank is blue glass with a thumb print honeycomb pattern. The pattern can be felt on the outside. Glass section is in perfect condition with no cracks. Chips, or cloudiness. Glass does have lots of tiny little air bubbles cased within the glass. Burner collar is unmarked and shows signs of age(tiny stress cracks) upon very close inspection. Burner seems complete and burns a flat wick. Included. Wick adjustment knob works fine. It is marked with a lion and the letters O. E. B. The knob nameplate has a crack as pictured. One chimney mounting tab is missing. Needs a 2 inch fitter chimney and lamp oil ... moreto be ready for use. Has not been drilled. Converted, or restored. Metal has an aged patina but would benefit from a quick polish. There are no scrapes. Dents, breaks, or repairs. Measures 13 inches tall overall. Glass font tank section measures approximately 5.75 inches in outside diameter. Description On offer here is a wonderful antique 19th century porcelain oil lamp in the form of a snowy white owl with large yellow glass eyes. The owl stands upon lotus flowers or similar and balances a cranberry glass font on the top of its head. There is an impressed date kite lozenge mark to the underneath and some numbers- see photos. Antique 13 " Figural Base Glass Font Oil/Kerosene Lamp
13 inch high figural stem oil Lamp. This lamp has a 4 7/8 X 4 7/8 inch X 1 inch high metal base. The figure is the bust of a beautiful woman. The figure is 6 inches tall and is supporting a brass colored base that holds a glass font for the lamp oil. The glass is 3 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches across. On top of that is a brass colored cover that the burner screws into. The glass font has some etching on it. There are 2 cracks in the glass font. The font could be turned so that the cracks were in back. Lamp has fine detail.

Antique Victorian Cut Glass Oil Lamp with shade font burner base circa 1890
Cut Glass Oil Lamp Font A very High quality oil lamp indeed. A reeded stepped copper. Brass and china base houses a particularly good triple cut faceted glass font in perfect condition. The font is fitted with a classic hinks/messengers bayonet fitting collar which houses a very good hinks no2 Duplex rise and fall burner. The lamp is finished with an original victorian acid etched reeded globular shade. The overall height of the oil lamp including the chimney is 65cm 25 1/2 inches tall. The shade is just over 18cm tall and 20cm 8 inches wide. The diameter of the font is 17cm just shy of 7 inches. Postage UK £10. Europe £30, USA and Canada £45. GOOD QUALITY GLASS OIL LAMP FONT & HINKS BURNER
Description On offer here is an antique Victorian cut glass oil lamp font with brass Hinks burner.The font is very elegant and very well cut. The burner has a clever mechanism that was out of position when I photographed it but since then I have managed to work it out and it has a rise up and down motion. The brass burner has originally been silver plated but a percentage of the plate has now worn off. The glass font is 6.5 inches wide, the actual screw thread for the lamp base measures approx. 20- 22 mm's. It is in very good condition. There are no cracks or chips to the glass. Thanks for looking. It consists on a brass pillar base(not Corinthian as there are no scrolls or decoration to top) marked to the base"J Hinks& Son" and"1781" The base is made with a thick gauge brass as can be seen in the pictures below. The best English cut glass font(hinks ref 192) is made with thick walls measuring nearly 1cm in thickness. The Hinks number 2 burner has a wheeled gallery raiser to allow easy lighting. Five Day Listing# Here we have a rare 100% original Hinks Duplex lamp with a cranberry cut-glass fount and dark amethyst glass baluster stem. Made in the mid to late 1880s. The baluster stem is made from dark amethyst glass. Although only the strongest of lights can penetrate it(you can see the L.E.D. of an iPhone light through it in a dark room, basically it shows as black in general use, it would have had gold trim but his is worn showing only the gummed-lines where it was originally stuck, project? A what I believe to be Victorian oil lamp. It stands 23" 59cm) and is in good condition for its age. I think the main body is cast. not magnetic) is without damage, and on the inside of the base raised is 1831. The glass font is good with no damage. The burner has Hinks and sons on the side and there is 1 chimney finger missing. Both wicks will rise and fall, and one of the ceramic inserts has the writing worn. Victorian Oil Kerosene Lamp Blue Cased Cut Glass Font Fenton Coin Dot Ball Shade
Victorian Duplex Burner Kerosene Oil Lamp C. 1880-90 ORIGINAL PERIOD LAMP. NOT A REPRODUCTION. The font is mold blown cased glass. Clear over blue. The clear surface is delicately wheel cut in a lace like pattern. The third photo shows the truest color) The font is mounted with a brass collar and tapered support that are cemented on. The lamp's base is brass with a iron under plate. The duplex burner's knobs are embossed with a globe emblem. The Fenton blown opaline coin dot glass shade is old, whether it is original to the base is unknowable but they have been together for some time. I have worked on antique lamps for over thirty years. I have not seen a similar font before. CONDITION: Surprisingly good. The font has not been drilled and has no problems. The brass elements have darkened with age and can be polished as brightly as ... moreyou desire. There is surface rust on the iron under plate. The burner was gutted when it was electrified. The rowels that move the wicks are still in place. A section of the gallery that holds the chimney in place is missing. The chimney still fits tightly. The chimney is not as old as the lamp(few are) and has chips on its bottom and top edges. The shade, no cracks, it has chips on the inner surface of its fitter opening, these may have occurred when the shade was made and the fitter lip was ground, and again, chips on the inner edge of its top opening, these are from use. Such chips are typical on old shades. Dimensions: 24 1/2" tall with the chimney in place. The lamp. To the font collar, 11 1/4" tall. Font, 6" maximum diameter. Foot, 7" diameter. Shade, 4" fitter, 7" maximum diameter. The entire lamp weighs, 8 pounds, 6 ounces. It will be disassembled when packed. RARE VICTORIAN IRISH OIL LAMP FONT. Up for auction here and with no reserve is this much sought after Victorian Era Irish oil lamp font Circa 1890-1910. As you can see from the photos it is beautifully hand painted with Irish Shamrocks& Harps and complete with a nice bright yellow top section. It does have damage which can be seen in the many photos I have taken so Please study them carefully! It does display very well with all the cracks at the back and another large one to the underside at the back. Overall it does look very impressive when looking at it from the front where it has no damage and the defects can only be seen at the back on close inspection. The brass peg has a standard 22mm thread and the burner collar is 1 1/2 inch duplex screw thread. The total height of the font is 6 inches and 7 wide. Good original corinthian column oil lamp with a nicely hob-nail cut font. With dimple cutting to the top and bottom. Albion Lamp Co" with the Reg No 3584 is stamped into the iron weight at the bottom of the base. I am selling both the base and the font together as they were always together(possibly from the beginning) The proportions are perfect. Dimensions: 18" tall with the font. The cast brass base on it's own is 13 1/2" tall. The bottom step is 5"square. The font. Which is a bayonet fit, is 6" wide. It has a 22mm undermount. Condition: In very good condition throughout.
