So if your after the special one, this is for you. everything on this lamp base is Org. except I replaced the wiring& cord. Look at the great metal work on the shade supports& the Original multiple color swirl Slag glass surround by the Org. finish Oak base. This lamp base proudly stands 15" tall& a wing span of 11" for your shade.the arched feet of the base spread across 7 1/2" side to side. This base has not been messed with or taken apart. So I would say It has the Org glass. One side has the similar one on the opposite side it almost looks light colored(faded)but the wood is not faded& is still dark. So that's why I put a picture of the inside. For viewing all 4 pieces.the only way to change the glass is to completely take apart the base,which if you look at all the bottom corners it shows that it hasn't been taken apart. 2 out of the 4 metal shade holders have a little piece of wood they mount on& are loose. This nice period lamp dates ca. 1900-1915 and manufactured in an era when they could be“wired” for either gas or electricity. It measures 24” tall(16” to the top of the socket) and sports an original 8” x 35” square shade having solid brass riveted frame with steel under structure. The textured opalescent slag glass is all original with no cracks. But a tiny corner loss as photographed. The base is brass plated cast iron with minor rust and it is very dirty and attic fresh. The owner thought it should be re-wired for sale, so that has been done. Antique Craftsman Mission Style Cast Iron Lamp w/ Fat Boy Paddle Switch I came across this forgotten treasure and couldn’t pass it up. While there are no actual markings other than the“fat boy” paddle switch and the socket. Both labeled“Union” The design of the lamp is characteristic of the Mission style and the American Craftsman style, made famous by Gustav Stickley around the turn of the 20 th century. I cannot verify its authenticity as such. But it definitely has the trademark appearance of these two parallel styles. Please note there are several cosmetic flaws characteristic of its age(see pictures for close-up details) paint has some chipping and various scratches; socket is slightly askew; and lamp has apparently been rewired at some point in time. The wicker on the base of the lamp is in excellent vintage condition. And measures 13" tall x 5 1/2" wide. The 6" tall x 8 1/4" wide lamp shade has some broken wicker strands and a loose clamp, but still is beautiful. Details are shown in the photos. The original silk is very worn with age and will need replacing. The two lovely gold tassels hanging from the pull chain are also in great vintage condition. Antique Arts & Crafts Riviere Copper Overlay Slag Lamp Tiffany Revere Mission
Offered is a beautiful early 20th century Riviere copper overlay slag glass table lamp. This comes from a recent Memphis. TN estate where it was found stored in the attic for the past few decades. The copper overlay retains the original finish with a superb patina and surface. I have not cleaned the lamp or attempted any restoration. There are a number of old repairs and losses. The original finial and top shade cover are missing. Some of the overlay has come loose from the slag glass as is common with these lamps. The lamp retains all the original purple slag and looks wonderful when illuminated. I think it is rather rare to find one in purple as they are usually in green glass. Although the shade is missing the original finial it is still usable as is. It appears that the lamp was rewired sometime in the 50's. I assume that the base ... moreilluminates but I have not tried to get inside. If there are bulbs in the base I am certain they are burned out by now. I placed bulbs in the two main sockets for photographing. Overall the lamp is in good antique condition and would be an outstanding piece with a bit of restoration. Vtg Antique Mission Style Quarter Sawn Oak Lamp Stickley Era Slag Glass Light
For your consideration is a Mission style table lamp. The quarter sawn oak base is 6 3/4" square and the lamp stands 19 1/2" tall. The 14" square slag glass shade has all its original glass panels. Though two of the panels do have cracks. Both sides are shown in the last two photos, glass panels are tight with no missing pieces. The vintage brass pull chain switch socket accepts a standard base bulb(bulb not included) The lamp has been rewired with an 18 gauge cloth covered wire and a vintage style two prong plug. Antique Mission Arts/Crafts Lamp with Slag Glass Shade Around 1920's
This is an old one but it has problems so read the description. All but one of the large slag glass panels on the shade has a crack. 2 of the panels have several cracks. The lower green panels and the upper small white panels are good. All panels are tight and the frame is tight with no cracks. The base looks good with no chips.Cracks or dents but there is a post on the inside bottom which I think should have held in some sort of counterweight. Base is 7 1/2" square so it is actually quite stable without the weight. Base looks to be brass that has been dusted with greenish paint way back when. Finish is pretty even over the entire lamp. Both pull chain sockets work. Wiring is the old cloth covered and should be replaced. Base stands 22 1/4" tall to where the shade sets-about 24" to the top of the finial. Shade is 6 sided and ... more16 1/4" diameter across the flats-18 3/4" across the points and is 10" deep. I don't see anything signed. But not all, as any Tiffany dealer or expert would attest. It was purchased(along with the Tiffany shade in my other auction, if still available) at a Chicago auction gallery and guaranteed by them as Tiffany. An identical SIGNED base also appears in a Christie's auction catalog of the 90's. This is a very special base. Its design evokes organic root/plant forms, gnarled sinuous tree trunks and branches. a strong Art Nouveau influence. To me it looks like something Antoni Gaudi or Hector Guimard would have designed. Being of natural forms makes it ideal for an Arts and Crafts Style placement but also very modern spaces. The proportions are exquisite. We are pleased to offer this exquisite. AUTHENTIC, Mid Century, older vintage Italian chandelier lamp. This stunning lantern fixture features an ornate, heavily gilded iron and brass frame which is paired with frosted, bent and stained glass. The lamp in unique and has characteristics of French, Italian and Spanish Mission. The frame has 4 opened panels with a Mission style, scrolled iron design. These panels alternate with 4 glass panels(total of 8 panels) The glass is frosted. It is bent and curves inward at the center(concave) Each glass panel is highlighted with a delicate and intricate stained pattern. The stained pattern is an ornately scrolled design and pairs beautifully with the scrolled iron, open panels. Each stained glass panel is framed with a gilded acanthus leaf border on the top and bottom and faux twist"rope" on ... moreeach side. The top and bottom of the fixture continue with the same design of the opened panels. The iron scrolls and curves at each section. Inside, the fixture houses 4 candelabra lights(25 watt each) These, too, are ornate with gilded bobeches and white to gold drip wax style candle sleeves. The fixture retains the original metal"Made in Italy" tag on the upper section of the frame. This was(is) originally a hanging lamp but the fixture could very easily be converted to a chandelier. There is an on/off switch located on the bottom of the fixture. The lamp is in very good condition with very little signs of age or use. For your consideration is a" bradley-hubbard" antique/vintage slag glass shade Mission Arts Crafts Lamp Shade Monumental Overlay table lamp acorn final with heavy ornate overlay on the 6 panel caramel glass. The shade is very impressive and measuring 6-3/4" tall. It is being sold as is as found. It's a great tight shade but is bent a little they have been there for quite sometime you don't even notice them. and does have wear typical of age and use. But as you can see was remarkable preserved. There are no cracks in the panels.the bottom base is aluminum and 14-1/4 tall by 4-1/4 wide.This does need a good cleaning as there is quite a bit of paint old and dust on it. Antique Handel Era Mission Arts Crafts 8 Side Slag Glass Gothic Superb Desk Lamp
Here's an extremely ornate and beautiful circa early 1920s octagonal gothic style desk lamp. There are 8 wonderful early slag pieces on the top and bottom of the lamp. Encapsulating the light. This is absolutely stunning and is all original as I purchased the lamp 30+ years ago. One of the nicest and most unusual lamps ive ever seen. The original lamp hardware was made by Weber Patents 250 w universal. The lamp is unmarked or perhaps I'm completely missing the makes mark. Heavy lamp weighing 13.4 lbs. The fire slag has beautiful reds, oranges and amber color and is absolutely stunning in the natural light. The solid base is wondrous and has some extremely ornate detail, covered in fleur de lis style designs. Lamp measures roughly 25" tall from bottom of base to top of ornate finial. The shade itself measures roughly 12.5" ... morewide by roughly 12" high and the base of lamp is roughly 6.75" wide. There's one small break/chip in the slag on top of the lamp as seen in the top shade flipped upside down image. The lamp disassembled quite easily as seen in the last picture. Glass panels are a bit dirty but not cracked. Shade measures 13" x 13" x 9" Base is a combination of iron& brass and has been rewired. Arts& Crafts Hanging Ceiling Lamp Fixture This vintage chandelier lamp from the Arts& Crafts design era features a brass base with a large central globe(13" across) ringed by four hanging globes(5” x 4” so that the entire fixture is about 19 inches across. Each of the pendant globes. Held in place by the original set screws, connects to its own canopy which has the original friction key type switch. The strikingly beautiful salmon color frosted glass features a classic mission-era stenciled floral design. In green, light blue and red rose colors; reminiscent of Roycroft, Mackintosh and other artists from the period. The glass is flawless and only glows more warmly when lighted. Measurements: 15-1/4" tall to the top of each post with the base being 12-1/2" x 7" oval in shape. The interior measurements from post to post are 9-3/8” wide and below top bar to base are 12-3/4” tall. I’m not sure what type of wood it is made of but it looks to me to be mahogany. The wiring is original to the lamp but as you can see it will need to be rewired. The wooden base has its original electric cord shield guard that appears to be a hard plastic. MISSION ERA TABLE LAMP GREEN SLAG GLASS ARTS & CRAFTS - W B BROWN ?
This beautiful Mission/ Arts and Crafts Era wood table lamp has a lovely green slag glass shade. I saw several of these lamps previously listed on eBay and they were attributed to the W. B. Brown Company but I will have to leave that to the experts out there. The lamp stands 22" tall. The shade is 5 1/2" at the top and 14 1/2" at the bottom, and the base is 7" wide. It looks terrific when lit and is in good condition with the exception of some minor surface scratches to the wood and one side of the shades wood framework has come unglued. You can see the split to the shade edge in photos#1, 7 and#11. The re-glueing of the shade should be an easy fix and this wonderful lamp will be restored to its original glory. A wonderful Arts and Crafts/Mission Era hand crafted table lamp. Base is wooden and has four supporting arms for the shade made of wood and slag glass- lamp features a working double socket with pull chains and currently has a really long electric cord. I'm guessing because most homes had limited electrical outlets(I would recommend rewiring) This lamp may be W B Brown but there is no marking- I understand this was not uncommon as he produced these lamps wholesale to Montgomery Wards. This is a true beauty to own. The shade sits upon the supporting arms and requires no hardware. The measurements of the lamp are approximate- 26.5"high 16"arm to arm reach 10.5"square base, shade is 14.75"overall 7"panel 5.5"top. This is a super period Arts& Crafts/ Mission desk lamp. It is all handmade by an individual( not a mass produced company production piece) It is completely composed of solid Oak. Including the curved lamp shade element! The post or arm, from the base, also has a hand painted" floral" design/motif, and then on either side of the post are two" stepped" wood openings for photos to be inserted. I do have the glass panels/panes for these opens but removed them to take the pixz. It appears to be in an all original condition with a nice patina and an old alligatored varnish. The lamp will need to rewired, as it has the original cloth covered wiring and the original plug. I did not plug it in to see if it works in it's present condition, but the rewire job would be a quick and easy fix. Base, Chain pulls, and Finail. As shown in photos# 2&5 there is a vertical crack in the top glass on the back side of the lamp shade. As you can tell at some point in time after being cracked someone did a poor repair job. Lamp is made from Oak with marbelized Stained Glass Panels in a Caramel brown. A Beautiful Mission Oak lamp perfect for any room! Lamp is 25" tall x almost 17" square. Construction of the lamp is similar to the CRAFTSMAN homes of the early 20th Century. would great in any home. The glow is beautiful&wood&glass mixture warms any room. Overall it is a wonderful lamp. I give it a 9.9 in beauty. Aesthetics& condition. In the pictures you can see where the base is screwed to the top of the lamp shade part. I tested it to see if it could be mailed safely by taking the top off& It can(luckily) I didn't screw the screws down too tightly for the pictures because it will be soon taken to ship. So where you see a little air that is only because I didn't screw them tight as I wanted to maintain the integrity of the screw holes. If shipping is less than quote I will refund difference. But I will probably have UPS pack& ship for safety sake& their great shipping program& when they pack they insure. They can pack lamps well. Description This is a very nice signed early 1900's Arts and Crafts lamp base. Raised on the bottom B&H with flower at top and bottom it is also numbered 196. The shade holder is marked Pat March 12 08 and ARROW. I have not seen this type of holder and believe it is for a rare type of shade. If you had another shade you could remove the holder easily. It has been rewired at some point but the plug is cut off. The socket looks good and high quality. It stands 13 1/4 inches tall to the socket and the base is 6 inches square. There is a copper spot on the gold finish as shown. A true Mission collector piece. Shipping I take great care in packing every item and have been shipping chandeliers worldwide for over 10 years.
