Up for bids is a fantastic old lamp from a Cape cod estate. It is in excellent original condition with only light wear. It stands about 16" tall to the top of the arm. The shade is about 7 1/2" in diameter. And the base is about 6 1/2" in diameter. The cord is in good shape and free from cuts or splices. The plug is the original bakelite type. The chrome has no rust and very nice luster. A classic lamp. Thanks for looking.

The vintage paddle switch socket is marked"250W HUBBELL 250V" accepts a standard base screw in bulb(bulb not included) The lamp measures 10 1/2" wide and adjust to 15 1/2" tall at the highest setting. The weighted base is 6" in diameter and anchors the lamp securely to any flat surface. The lamp has older wiring and two prong plug that works fine. As tested. Vintage industrial desk lamp. Features metal articulating arms. Cast iron joints, a vintage cast base, an aged brass lamp shade, and three antique cast iron valve handles. The shade, base and handles have a wonderful patina. Wiring is brand new reproduction brown twisted cloth cord and a new antique style plug. Everything works perfectly and safely. The brass socket and turn key have an oil-rubbed bronze finish. The base is a heavy cast iron. Three separate joints enable the lamp to be positioned in a wide variety of ways. The handles at all three joints make re-positioning easier. The valve handles can easily be switched to the opposite side if preferred. I can do that for the winning bidder if requested. The lower end of the stem, and the reverse finial securing the bottom are dark copper/bronze colored. The original globes have an iridescent band at the mouth, abstract embossed designs in two circumferential bands. They are in excellent condition except for scattered areas where the black painted bands have some color loss. One socket has a crack that has no effect on function. There are fine scratches on the chrome. The drop from ceiling to the bottom of the globes is 23 inches. The diameter is 20 inches. Unless you have very high ceilings. The 13" arms extend out to a total of 32" wide including the shades. The arms can be adjusted in height. Width as well as pivot with the shades 360 degrees, should you like. The antique milk glass shades are free of chips or cracks but do have straw marks from the manufacturing process. The matching brass paddle switch sockets are marked"circle F 250W 250V PAT JULY 6, 1909" and accept standard base bulbs(bulbs not included) The lamp has been rewired with 18 gauge cloth covered wiring and an old fashioned two prong plugs. For your consideration is a signed brass FARIES flexible shaft bench lamp. The signed Faries weighted base is 5 1/2" in diameter and the lamp stands 25" tall. The lamp retains an old chippy silver painted base that the brass shows through and looks great. The bare steel parabolic shade is 6 1/2" in diameter and has the Faries name embossed. NICE Vintage Metal Eames Era Desk Flex Lamp Machine Age Gooseneck Light
This lamp was used in an office or a factory sometime during the mid century. Exact age unknown but believed to be from the 50's or 60's. The entire lamp including the shade is metal. Has a weighted base then about an 8" solid stem with about another 8" of flex. The paint is original and in super nice condition. The light has no dents with very minimal scratches on the base and one little scuff about the size of a pencil eraser on the shade. That scuff is superficial so you should be able to buff it out with some automotive polishing compound. The lamp does work however I do see a piece of electrical tape sticking out where the cord goes into the neck. The switch is fine. Bulb does not flicker when being turned off and on. Bulb is not included. When the neck is straight up the lamp measures about 25 3/4" tall. DESIGN: A stylish and impressive early large Brass Faries Industrial Machine Age Lamp circa 1910. The lamps arms adjust from the heavily weighted base via the main support tube with further position adjustment of the socket/shade assembly via the joint assembly at the socket. Manufactured completely of Solid Brass throughout(aside from the heavy cast iron inner base) with matching early marked Faries locking collar shade. CONDITION: This distinguished lamp is in outstanding original condition. Completely intact and fully functional. Very mild finish wear and light patina to the Brass with no damage or repair issues aside from some faint denting to the Brass base shroud edges. Original push through switch socket has been inspected and is functional and safe, power cord has been replaced with braided cotton wrapped insulated wire. Description" Up-cycled from the best and most unique materials I could find. This one and only lamp is one of my favorites and came together as if it were asking to be this way. As often the case, I managed to offset the industrial appeal with a touch of elegance that flows together as if manufactured that way to begin with. The base is solid cast iron with original black enamel paint and a pin stripe like design painted in gold. The shade is solid brass along with the attached fittings being grade A solid thick wall brass. The socket is early higher end made by Meteor and has a porcelain inner body. The cord is updated industrial grade and it detaches at the lamp with an early Hubble twist plug. The wall plug is an industrial grade machine age fused plug with two buss style fuses for negative and positive. It's more than UL compliant ... moreand will handle the load without a problem. If a steam locomotive had a study, this would have offset it quite nicely indeed, I think. It is 17 inches long by 12 inches high and is heavy. Description" I would call this the Tiffany of industrial art lamps in that it projects elegance and class with an early Classic Edison electrical appeal. The epitome of if Tesla met Tiffany if you will. It stands 18 inches tall and the shade is 13 inches in diameter. This one and only lamp is one of my favorites and came together with great struggle but in the end rather serendipitously. As you can see I designed this one very mechanically so that the shade can be moved a couple inches up and down to hide or display the bulbs. And tilt back as to be used as sort of a spotlight in that it can direct the light forward without any beaming. It is indeed very interactive and yet with no useless parts. It has a variety of solid materials starting with the cast iron base to the aluminum shade. It has solid brass and solid metal fittings and ... morecast iron most with it's original black enamel paint. The sockets are early higher end solid brass made by Bryant. Vintage Antique Industrial OC White Wall Lamp Machine Age Mirrored Light Shade
For your consideration is a great looking OC White wall lamp with an antique mirrored reflector. The OC White parts all bear the signature markings. As shown throughout the photos. The lamp has a piece of reclaimed antique barn flooring as a base. The wormy chestnut base measures 3 3/4" x 8" and still retains some of the original saw marks. The lamp with its 24" arm will adjust to a total length of over 40" including the shade. The reflecting shade is 11" in diameter and retains much of the original green paint. The mirrors are intact with not breaks but does have silvering loss. The antique brass paddle switch socket accepts a standard bulb(bulb not included) The 12' long cord is a new 18 gauge cloth covered wire with an old two prong plug. Offered is a Dazor articulating drafting type lamp. Model 2124. The bronze tone surface is in fair condition for its age and exhibits the great"patina" that is accepted in vintage industrial goods. There are some slight areas of surface rust that can be cleaned up a bit if you are bothered by them. This lamp simply exhibits all that you expect from an item used for decades in an industrial environment. The lamp works well and is ready to mount and use. DESIGN: A very early and unusual"Miller" Industrial Brass Articulating Shop Lamp circa 1904. The dual lamp arms articulate up and down from the heavily weighted base via the main support tube and offers further adjustment of the socket/shade assembly fore and aft via their knuckle joints. Completely manufactured of solid Brass throughout(aside from the cast iron weighted sub base) and very well engineered and machined. Patent markings are clearly evident on the shade fitters of 1904& 1908. Which hold matching dark Green Emeralite style glass cased funnel shaped shade. Theme of this lamp Machine Age Aviation Instrument Control panel Lamp CC#22 1. The instruments used in this lamp came mostly from salvaged F4 Phantom jets used during the Vietnam War era. 2. The frame for this lamp is black iron pipe. And salvaged gears from old farm tractors. This gives the lamp a machine age look. The aviation feature panel has gauges that would typically be used in fighter jets post machine age. 3. During the Vietnam War. The F-4 was used extensively; it served as the principal air superiority fighter for both the Navy and Air Force, and became important in the ground reconnaissance roles late in the war. 4. Located on the bottom right of the panel is a military UHF communications receiver-transmitter control unit. Prior to take off on flight missions. A pilot would select his communications channel frequency, which was ... moreassigned by air traffic operations. A common emergency channel frequency selection of 243.0 MHz was for military use. Also known as Military Air Distress(MAD) or UHF Guard. 5. Located on the bottom left of the panel is an F4 military IFF transponder control panel.
