The base measures approximately 18cm in diameter. The brass base is absolutly stunning with an Art Nouveau repousse acanthus leaf design to the column which supports the large brass font displaying the same pattern. A few minute little dings to the base and one tiny mark on the edge of the brass collar. Barely noticeable but mentioned for accuracy. The lamp is a Globe Vulcan center draft burner. It has a new replacement flame spreader. The shade gallery is in good order and supports the beautiful satin glass pale pink shade which is moulded with the same acanthus leaf design interspersed with daisy type flowers. Stunning Vintage Maison Jansen Hollywood Regency Brass Steel Marble Floor Lamp
Absolutely stunning Maison Jensen floor lamp. That is a must for any home with similar period decor. The lamp is in wonderful original condition with no issues. This piece was aquired from a home with a substantial collection of high end pieces and is not often seen. We have seen one table version of this piece but never the impressive floor version. The lamp has dual sockets with original chain pulls and is constructed of solid brass and brushed stainless steel. The Italian gray vein marble center table, is 5/8" thick. The lamp has both gazelle heads and feet as accent pieces. The silver foil cylindrical shade is original to the lamp. The lamp stands an impressive 57' tall and 14" in dia. This is a Great Old Green Slag Glass Table Lamp Shade in very good condition! It is an 8 Panel shade and all the glass is damage free it also has all it's little tabs. I see no makers marks so I do not know who made the shade or it's age my best guess is 1940s but it could be earlier. It looks to be very well made. There are a few small areas of finish loss but 99% of the original finish seems to be there. The shade from panel to panel is 17 1/2" and the shade weighs 7.10 pounds. Thank you for your interest! STUNNING ANTIQUE 19c COPELAND SPODE OIL LAMP This is an antique Spode Copeland TG Goode porcelain oil lamp that is an outstanding. Highly decorative object, richly decorated in an imari manner with rich colurs and gilding. It has a triangular base with ornate corner acanthus swags from which rises a reeded circular column that has three gilded swans. The oil font looks like a flower head that also has acanthus leaves to its base. Please study my photos. It measures 21.5 inches high Condition; Whilst it displays well. There is a crack that runs all the way around the reeded column circular stem and a vertical crack that leads from the same area. It feels strong and the lamp is useable. Description" Up-cycled from the best and most unique materials I could find. This one and only lamp is one of my favorites and came together as if it were asking to be this way. As often the case, I managed to offset the industrial appeal with a touch of elegance that flows together as if manufactured that way to begin with. The base is solid cast iron with original black enamel paint and a pin stripe like design painted in gold. The shade is solid brass along with the attached fittings being grade A solid thick wall brass. The socket is early higher end made by Meteor and has a porcelain inner body. The cord is updated industrial grade and it detaches at the lamp with an early Hubble twist plug. The wall plug is an industrial grade machine age fused plug with two buss style fuses for negative and positive. It's more than UL compliant ... moreand will handle the load without a problem. If a steam locomotive had a study, this would have offset it quite nicely indeed, I think. It is 17 inches long by 12 inches high and is heavy. Description" I would call this the Tiffany of industrial art lamps in that it projects elegance and class with an early Classic Edison electrical appeal. The epitome of if Tesla met Tiffany if you will. It stands 18 inches tall and the shade is 13 inches in diameter. This one and only lamp is one of my favorites and came together with great struggle but in the end rather serendipitously. As you can see I designed this one very mechanically so that the shade can be moved a couple inches up and down to hide or display the bulbs. And tilt back as to be used as sort of a spotlight in that it can direct the light forward without any beaming. It is indeed very interactive and yet with no useless parts. It has a variety of solid materials starting with the cast iron base to the aluminum shade. Greetings. We are very pleased to offer this STUNNING antique glass mini oil lamp. I am unsure of the maker. But it came from an antique store storage, and still had a $295 price tag on it from over 35 years ago. The tag said"Antique Blown mold glass oil lamp- Nailsea? with the question mark, so I leave it up to better eyes than myself to decide if the antique store was correct. I will however be asking about the same price they asked then. Please see the detailed pics. The lamp, burner and glass shade/hurricane are all included as shown in pics. The lamp and burner are original. but it is unknown if the shade is original. I have done some research, and it appears this was produced by blowing glass into a mold, which gives it both the appearance of blown, and molded glass. As shown from the bottom of the lamp, the colors swirl in"bubble ... morestripes" around the lamp. the colors range from almost white, to almost dark cranberry. The effect of the color is almost like veins. I am sure there is a terminology for complicated glass such as this, but I don't know it. I hope the pics do it justice. Decoration: the glass color and design is exquisite. And the embossed leaf decor surrounding the base adds to the visual sense of a 3 dimensional texture. Dimension: 8" with shade. DEEP REDUCTION IN PRICE. This is a beautiful lamp in the Art Nouveau. Early Art Deco Style. It is over 23" tall. Each of the 8 sides of the shade is 7" the total diameter is 16" I believe it is made out of cast iron, though it has some patina. Heavy. The glass shade is held together by ornately designed brass or bronze chevrons and ribbons. One of the ribbon is missing the top, but if you turn it towards the wall no one will ever notice. I would guess it to be from the first years of the 20th century from the time when the great(and expensive) Tiffany and Handel lamps were made. It is very unique, as most antiques are. Lookers, browsers and watchers on eBay know that I'm selling, item by item, a lifetime of collecting, accumulating and the inventory and display pieces from my part time career as an Antique Textile dealer. I sold at weekend Antique Shows from the mid 1980's to 2002. You see and hear sellers of antiques use the term, Shabby Chic" routinely, no matter if it's true or not! THIS LAMP IS REALLY SHABBY AND CHIC! This was the lamp I used for lighting on the front table of my booth at Antique Shows. I always set up my booth at my weekend shows selling my Antique Textiles in the same way with antique display pieces and lighting to counteract the harsh fluorescent lighting in the Exhibition Halls. Soft lighting sells textiles and this unique lamp was a draw for the customers to my wares. The main feature of the lamp ... moreis an upstretched hand holding a bouquet of antique flowers. The hand is ARTISTICALLY constructed of Plaster of Paris(gesso) which was a preferred art form of the Victorians. For it's age, and the fact that this was packed, used and unpacked hundreds of times, the lamp is a wonder! The lamp has a double light socket topped with an appropriate fringed shade. The shade has some storage issues and the lamp base is not pristine, but I said it's"shabby! It's ALSO lovely. The hand is in fabulous shape for its age. The floral bouquet is original, I've never done any modifications. Customers at the Antique Shows approached me to buy the lamp on nearly an hourly basis, SERIOUSLY. I purchased the lamp in an Austin TX estate sale, with no shade and no finial. It's been rewired twice and it needs wiring now. To a knowledgable buyer, this is s minor issue. The ring of original cording trim around the base is loose, it's loose but intact and ready to be reattached. FATIGUED FRENCH FINDS fatiguedfrenchfinds This is a stunning and rare antique French solid bronze lamp bouillotte. It has the most incredible cut bronze lampshade backed by silk fabric. The pattern is of winged dragons and classical urns. The fabric at the rear has shattered and in my opinion will need replacing. It has previously been hand sewn to the internal shade support. The base is octagonal. The central column is in 3 sections with different fluted designs. Rising to the support for the 4 arms of the lamp. The lamp will require wiring. At present. It has part of the old wiring in place, which is neither safe nor appropriate. It has 3 porcelain screw in sections where the bulb sits. One of these is missing but that they will need replacing with a more modern solution. Additionally in the past, someone has applied a compound to the base ... moreof the lamp, which is not seen in anyway and I have shown it in one of the photographs. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a pretty cut crystal teardrop pull on the chain. The fancy pierced brass floral shade ring features 31 strands of fire polished crystal lustres. The column base is acanthus leaf and the top column is satiny twisted brass. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the crystals end. These decorator bulbs can be found in any home center or home depot. Stunning Antique Victorian Parlor Oil Lamp Green Cased Glass Shade 19th c. B&H?
A stunning and beautiful 19th century Antique Victorian Parlor Oil Lamp with Green Cased Glass shade. The lamp is original oil. The impressive base features applied bow and wreath decorations. The base and spill ring are solid brass with lovely detail filigree. The lamp sits very firmly and solidy. The lamp appears to be a Bradley& Hubbard. Though I am not certain. The base is in wonderful condition. The rich forest evergreen cased glass shade is in nice condition. One tiny flea bite. Less than a 1/16” at the top. and a few areas of paint along the bottom, which is not visible when it is sitting on the tripod mount. The font tank has a couple small indents and some creases. Consistent with age. The interior of the tank appears to have been coated with tank sealer. The fill cap screws on and off easily and the wheel turns easily to raise ... moreand lower the central draft wick. Truly an impressive antique parlor lamp.
