My opinion is that the glass is Bohemian. It's quite beautiful with a heavy glass center that appears to be ruby red(I think, rather than"flashed" red) which is cut to clear in a geometric pattern. The fittings appear to be brass and the base/ foot is marble(with felt lining on bottom. A fairly large piece. The glass measures approximately 6" in diameter. The base is about 5" square. Not counting ... morethe finial, it is 18 1/4" tall. This piece appears to be in generally excellent used/old condition and- as you can see in the next to last pic- it works great. I don't see any cracks or damage on the cord. Either. However, I can not remove the harp. and I am not going to try to force it. The only damage I see is some green on the stem- discoloration or just needs cleaning/ polishing? Please do examine the pictures carefully but note that any bright white and/or yellow spots on pics are just glare/flash! Spectacular late 19th century pulley kerosene/oil chandelier. Stunning red glass with slight swirl. This light has been electrified and in that process an additional Victorian era lamp canopy was added so this is READY TO INSTALL TO A JUNCTION BOX! The light was also repainted in a period appropriate rich gilt. The pulley action was not altered and it still works(though the wiring will bunch up if you pull on it) No damage to the shade. The satin ruby red color is stunning and the pattern is called Iris. The embossed Iris pattern is continuous all the way around the globe and the base. The ruby glass is extremely thick which makes which gives this lamp a nice weight. The lamp measures 29 1/2" tall to the top of clear chimney. The top globe measures about 11 1/2 inches in diameter. Here is a gorgeous Bohemian ruby red& white cut glass coin lamp with a brass L&L base. Number 6784. It stands 34 inches tall, the glass itself is 18 inches, the base is 4 inches and the harp is 12-13 inches. The diameter of the glass base is 7 inches. It has very little wear on it and no damage with the exception of a slight nick in the base gilt trim line, see photo) its hard to see, its tiny! There are no paint losses or glass chips I found, and the cutting of the white to red glass is first class workmanship. There is no shade or finial on this lamp. As pictured. Up for auction is this Ultra Unique Vintage Novelty Color Disk Lamp Light. I cannot find a label or markings indicating manufacturer. Very unique piece that has all the flavor and decadence from the mid-century 1960's-70's Atomic Retro Era. Not sure of the age. However, most of the neighboring items from the same estate were from the 60's and 70's. The lamp light slowly rotates a plastic color disk over a half ball shaped atomic red plastic light fixture. Colors on the disk are Orangish-Red, Blueish Purple, and Green. with Yellow in the middle. The red body is somewhat translucent and illuminates also. Pretty cool. surely a conversation piece in your retro man-cave. Electronically performs perfectly with an On/Off switch. RARE ANTIQUE ART DECO FRENCH CHINOISERIE RED GOLD TORCH FOO DOG DRAGON LAMP 43"
TRULY. ONE OF THE MOST INCREDIBLE LAMPS WE HAVE EVER COME ACROSS! This is a very special, OLD(1920s at least) cast iron with brass or spelter, large table or floor lamp. The lamp has an overall French design and the color palette is a beautiful pattern of red and gold. The raised base is circular with three small cabriole legs. Atop the base is large and tall, French styled, candlestick or torch with flame. This feature towers above two Foo Dogs/Dragons and the light housing is at the top. A large, old, crackled amber glass shade rests on top of the torch. The large bobeche is beautifully crafted and features a series of Fleur de Lis which are fashioned with acanthus leaves. The dragons are seated on the base as well. They face opposite directions so as to guard from all angles. One of the dragons is a beautiful Jade green. He is seated upon ... morea raised column or pedestal which has the same bobeche design as the lighted torch. The second dragon is a unique black to midnight blue combination color. He sits directly on top of the base. Both of the Foo Dogs/Dragons have yellow painted eyes and INCREDIBLY ORNATE detailing which is gold gilded. They wear large breast plates and headdresses of gold and their rear legs are accented with acanthus scrolls and floral medallions. Their teeth are bared and their expression is fierce. The jade dragon has a plume tail feature while the black dragon has a more nondescript tail. There are chains attached to both the torch and the pedestal of the jade dragon. These attach to the base. The dragons are bolted to the base as is the torch. There are so many intricate features to this lamp! All of the pieces are thick cast(VERY HEAVY) The base is a thinner metal. The dragons/foo dogs are a heavy, cast material but do not accept a magnet. The bobeches are thick brass(painted) and do not accept magnet either. This is a MOST RARE and EXCEPTIONAL- VINTAGE- STILNOVO- ARTELUCE- TABLE LAMP in the SHAPE of a RED& BRASS DOG. It stands 15 3/4" Tall. 36" Long with the Tail Extended, approximately 25" Long as Pictured with the Tail Up, the Legs are 11 1/4" from Toe to Toe, the Neck is 12" Long, the Tail is 12" Long and the RED CONE HEAD is 8 1/4" Long from the Opening to the Top of the SOLID BRASS KNOB& 5" in Diameter at the Opening. This appears to be related to the DOG LAMPS made in ITALY& FRANCE in the EARLY 50S. It is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. All of the BRASS is SOLID BRASS except for the FLEXIBLE TAIL. It turns ON/OFF with a switch at the BALL SWITCH at Top of the Head and the Electrical Cord goes down the Back Leg. The HEAD& TAIL are ADJUSTABLE as pictured. I have the original wooden candle covers, sockets, and plug that are included in this auction. In all of my years as a dealer I have never seen bulb sockets with wooden bases. The machine turning on the base is exquisite as well as the acorn finial. Victorian period Carriage Candle Lamp with clear and red glass. Antique carriage lamp- in original rusted as found condition. It would appear to have only been illuminated by a candle as there is still the remains of a very greasy candle within the body. There are two bevelled oblong clear glass pieces. The front one has cracked. The silvered reflecter on the back piece has a central hole fitted with a red circular glass piece. The body from the domed top to the candle holder base is approximately 32cm tall x 11cm on each side with the glass standing out a further 7mm. I have no idea as to the maker I'm afraid but there is a stamped legend that possibly states'Under Patent' It is difficult to make it out clearly. Condition is poor. But we cannot make it out. it may be just part of the casting of the metal or another makers type mark. Nice drape type pattern with raised floral decoration. the cord is good and a recent addition by the looks of this. there is no on/ off switch that we could find on this, so you may want to plug this into a switched cord or use on a outlet with a light switch that controls it. font on burner says made in US of America Date: antique ... moreCondition: glass is very nice. burner has some damage to the side. the light socket may need to be replaced. This auction consists of a pair of matching vintage/ antique ceramic porcelain electric table lamps with shades. Lamps are in very good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Fine overall crazing. Original cloth wrapped cords still in excellent condition. Lamps work great! Lamps feature a red transferware farm country scene of farmhouse. Cows bulls and floral band at bottom of scene. Base is metal-magnet does not stick to metal base. Scene is titled"Native" and signed"F. Garbutt" on ceramic section. Lamps measure approx. 22" tall to the top of the finial.
