I am selling a beautiful hand painted lamp featuring two Harlequin dancers. This lamp is 6.5" tall excluding the fixture. The detailed painting on this lamp is exquisite and the faces of the dancers are so serene. The design of this lamp is very intricate. The gentleman is presenting a rose to his partner. The lamp has a fixture for a light bulb and it works fine. For safety reasons I would rewire the lamp because there is s piece of electrician tape on several inches of the cord. This lamp is number and marked Germany just below the cord hole in the back. There is a very slight chip on the base of this lamp to the right of the cord hole. Which I have pictured. Hendrikk Hérens was born on December 4. 1893 in Amsterdam. He took a course in drawing at the Academy of Art in The Hague and then was an assistant to the restoration of the stained glass windows of St. John's Church in Gouda. In 1919 he started his own studio in Honselersdijk(Netherlands) where he made stained and leaded-glass windows. The workshop was called The Honsel. And later The New Honsel. His first lamps were faithful decorations. But gradually he went on to the expressionist Amsterdam School style. He designed lamps for major clients such as De Bijenkorf and cinema Tuschinsky. 1] He also made for individuals lamps in the Tuschinsky style. This lovely pair of porcelain antique dresser lamps were made in Germany apparently by Giesshubel near the turn of the century. Both lamps have faint markings and I can barely see that one lamp is marked with number 15508? or. 15808? also, Germany and a letter G with vertical arrows. Most likely dated from the late 1800's to the 1920's. The mark seems to be the older one but I am not an expert. This dresser Lamp Pair is in very good condition and, surprisingly, the lamps turned on immediately with their old spooky antique electrical cord. Rewiring is highly recommended) Dresser lamps were created to adorn each side of a lady's dresser or dressing table. They are wired together to serve this intended purpose. Also interesting, are the Art Nouveau ladies with their draping and flowing clothing. You can see from the photos that a ... moredifferent picture of ladies adorns each side of the lamp. The celluloid shades are in nice condition considering age and wear. One shade has a slight tear on the bottom and there are a few little bubbles here and there. As the bulb warms the stuff inside the wonderful aromas would waft out through the holes in the sides and top. This has a vase/jar style shape with a screw-on top. The lamp light comes through the top and has a cloth covered cord with European two pronged plug. This should date to the 1920's. The Asian Chinoiserie inspired decorations are wonderfully done in detailed transfer with great bright colors and shapes. There are a few chips. Dings, and rubs from use and time, but it is still a wonderful looking piece. It measures approx. 5" x 6 1/2" x 5" Good Luck! As Found Adorable Little Girl Lamp that I believe to be German. She is 15 inches wide(taken from socket to socket) and 11 inches tall(to top of socket) Base is metal. She is not perfect. Please see photos for detail. She does have some flaking on flowers and dress. One pretty 60s 70s Mid Century Modern Amber Globe Glass Table Lamp. Bedside/ Desk Lamp from the 60s 70s in Germany. The lamp foot is made of solid wood. The glass is an amber structured glass globe. I have painted the foot in 50s turquoise since the wood was a little stained. Bulb socket is for an E14 bulb. The cable ends in a German system plug; so all one needs to do is changing it with a plug of your country. The measurements are: Diameter of the foot is 14 cm/ 5.5" Diameter of the Glass Globe is 12.5 cm/ 5" Condition: The lamp is used. But now with almost no visible signs of age. Magnificent Top Art Deco Pierrot Harlequin clown lamp I am offering up for sale a lovely vintage lamp. This lamp has a lovely pair. One is a harlequin clown attempting to woo a lovely young l ad y. The painting detail on the painting is superb. The couple is 5.5" tall and the total lamp(not including the lamp fixture) is 7" The entire lamp is 10.5" tall. I did plug this in and it does work but I would recommend rewiring it as the plug is old. There is a crack on the front of the base next to the two birds. It does go through to the back. Antique outstanding Brass Glass Lamp Wall Sconce Germany 1920 - 1940
Hello this beautiful wall lamp is made in 1920 thru 1940 in Germany. It is rewired and a new E 27 lampsocket was installed. All by professionel electrician. A Bulb is not included. The Glass is a white/amber opalglass/opaque glass with no cracks. The emitted light is very soft and warm. It is located near Hamburg.
