Antique Victorian Duplex Brass Double Student Oil Lamp Electric Original Globes
Hi. You are bidding on the most beautiful lamp. It is a Duplex student oil lamp that was converted to electric. You can see by the cord and plug that it is one of the oldest electric lamps you will ever see. It has been tested and did work when I bought it but the cord is super old. I would get a second opinion before you use the cord. The globes are LOVELY and even more beautiful in person. They are in good condition with no nicks or cracks. The globes measure approximately ten inches across at the bottom and 4.5 inches or so on the top. The entire lamp is 27 inches when measured from base to top of chimneys. I believe the chimneys are also original in that they look like old glass and they are the exact measurements of the original chimneys. One of the chimneys has some roughness around the base where it goes into the metal but it is not ... morechipped. If you collect these antique lamps. I think you are going to love this one. There are problems, but minimal. I see that there is one lamp socket that is sort of tipped to one side. There is some difficulty getting the round base for the chimney into the larger frame for the glass globe. But I think that all of these issues are probably just a part of owning a lamp like this. It is rare, original and super, super elegant. THank you.

ANTIQUE SLAG GLASS OR REVERSE PAINTED BRONZE TABLE LAMP BASE WITH DOUBLE SOCKET
No manufacturing marks found. Two tone bronze patinas. Base is yellow bronze casting the upper classical urn body is a dark liver patina. I took the base apart looking for identifying larks and showed interior in photos. Light sockets work with original wiring and toggles. this is a slag lamp base from the 1920's sturdy enough to hold a very large slag glass canapy. Only one defect is minor dent in the shadows of side that I backlighted to exaggerate for you to see better. It is not noticable. Found in North Crown Heights. Brooklyn Historic district.

This Table LAMP has a bulbous base that has a small fixture for a bulb inside the Glass seahorse part to show it off. the upper also has a socket for a bulb but needs a beautiful shade. this lamp is so striking to the naked eye. Lamp looks like a Galle style lamp. But does not have a galle signature so may be a reproduction of one. A wonderful. Antique, floral enameled, table lamp base missing the shade. 12 Photos) The lamp base, 13" high by 8" wide, has the original spider for a 10" matching shade. It is of superb quality and in the Mt. Washington manner.it has an ornate base with worn gilt plating. It was electrified years ago and has a light for the body as well as the top. The burner is a Bridgeport Duplex(double) with an American filler cap.the burner has been electrified. The base has not been drilled through the body and has the old cord with plug(both decent) This was our personal lamp and my favorite.I always cautioned my wife to put it on a safe surface.the table collapsed and destroyed the shade and I didn't have the heart to begin a search for the right top. The bulbs are covered with lace trimmed shades that are threaded and screw onto the bulb holders. These bulb holders have a ball on the top that allow the angle of the shade to be adjusted. Vintage brass double student electric lamp fluted swirl shades
This is the very classic double student lamp- an electric reproduction of the original oil type- which I purchased from the original owner. The chimney and shade holders are brass plated steel. Everything else is solid brass and features 3 way sockets. The shades use a 7 inch fitter and are milk glass with fluted swirl design. I estimate this lamp to have been purchased in the late 40's early 50's. One chimney is shorter than the other. Comes without bulbs as I will leave those to your discretion. CONDITION: Functionally excellent and cosmetically shows considerable age patina to the laquered brass finish- this could be an asset. Depending on your taste. Very Rare Green Shade Hanging Double Student Lamp
Very rare double student hanging lamp. You see lots of double student lamps but hardly ever see the hanging kind. Measures 36 inches across by about 23 high(not counting the chain which adds another couple of inches) This even has the gold piece that goes above the hurricane glass made out of brass. Brass needs a good cleaning. It has been in storage a few years. Missing a screw that screws in the bottom part piece for the middle section. Green shades are very heavy. They are 6 1/2 inches tall and the opening is 9 5/8 inches. I believe the shades to be old but I'm not certain. They were sold to me as being old. This is a Vintage Tole Mustard Yellow& Gray Painted Double Shade Table/Desk Lamp. The Lamp is 20 5/8" Tall at the Tallest Point and the Bottom Base measures 5 1/4" Across. The Lamp is 14 1/2" Wide. The Shades are 4 1/4" Tall. The Shades measure 7 1/8" Across the Bottom and 2 3/4" Across the Top of the Shade. The Paint on the Lamp has been colored and written on and has rust. Antique Brass Two Candle French Bouillotte Lamp Rare Design. Candle height on this lamp is adjustable. an uncommon feature. I have found no other lamps of this type with adjustable candle height. Height of lamp is 21" x 10" wide. Circumference of base is 7 1/4" Candles can be raised 13" without the shade in place. And about 9 1/2" with a shade. There is no shade included with this sale. This lamp is offered as found with original patina. The wiring and guts are NOT original. It is possible to use this lamp with candles by removing the wiring. I have made no attempt to repair it. And I have tried to show all defects in the photos. SEE PHOTOS In spite of the defects. This lamp is quite repairable, and would be a VERY upscale lamp when finished. The dish base is not straight. And there is a hairline crack in the base ... moreof the dish. Base is still tight and solid. Brass nut under base appears to be hand made. Base of one candle is not tight. Vintage Antique 1920's Double Socket Lamp Base Miller? Pittsburgh? Parts Repair
This double socket lamp dates to the 1920's or thereabouts. Its either a Miller or a Pittsburgh. I've seen this same pattern that appears on the base of this lamp on other signed lamps. This one is marked on the base but is under the weight and I could not get the weight off nor can I see through the weight to see what it reads. Untested as the plug is missing but I see no reason why it wouldn't work as the pull chains snap crisply. The original paint on this one is in pretty nice condition but the vase shaped piece just above the base has 2 dents and the paint is scratched on that part. Mutual Sunset Lamp Company Set Of Two Lamps Benjamin Style Double Sockets

Antique Victoria Austria Hand Painted Scenic Double Socket Lamp
Up for bid is an Antique Victoria Austria Lamp. This is 21 1/4" tall to the top screw x about 7 1/4" wide handle to handle. The cord has duct tape on the end. So probably should be replaced. I did put light bulbs in and both work fine, one of the chains does not work though. There is a crack by the hole where the cord comes out from the bottom. It is about 2" long but not really that noticeable. The bottom is marked Victoria Austria and a number 299? This beautiful lamp needs a good home, and will display nice! Bidder to pay shipping.

Vintage Frederick Cooper? Great Tole Bouillotte Lamp Double shade Red!
What can I say? A lovely tole Bouillotte lamp. Double shade double light. Great Tole design on it. I love lamps. I am a collector of lamps but I have a rule that when one comes in at this point another has to leave. I do not know the maker nor age of this lamp I have had it a while. I had it in my breakfast area but works well in any room. It is not marked but by the quality of the materials used it is most likely Frederick Cooper or Chapman. The red finish is fine and the shades do not have any dents or rust. The red is almost a rust color. I took some pictures out doors where you can see brick on the house to get a visual of the color. From the bottom to the tallest point it is nearly 21" tall and about 13" at the widest point. It weighs 5 1/2 pounds. The shades are on a brass bracket that you can raise or lower. This lamp uses ... moreaccent bulbs(not included) The post has some light wear(normal) and the only other thing i can point out is one of the gold cardboard candle post has a small tear at the bottom(see picture) The base is wood from what i can tell. They do not make quality lamps like this anymore the detail and materials are just great! Please remember that if an item is described as VINTAGE or ANTIQUE. It is old and should never be expected to look"like new" By their nature, they are usually used items.
