Century Purple Glass Lamp- Rare Color This listing is for a beautiful original antique early 19th century ... moreglass bell jar lantern lamp. This lantern comes with its smoke shield and is a beautiful very dark purple amethyst color(the lid is lighter in color but I do believe it is the original smoke shield for this lantern) It retains its original brass fittings and chain. The shield measures 10-3/8" across and the bell jar measures 9-5/8" high and 8-1/2" across. Condition is good. There are manufacturing flaws and irregularities in the glass(air bubbles and lines and folds in the glass on the lid. These are not cracks or damages but happened in the making) The glass has a few air bubbles that were broken through on the surface but there are no chips or cracks and no repairs. There is just the usual chipping along the opening hole in the lid where the chain comes through(that is normal for this type of lamp) One of the peacock heads has lost its little clip that folds over the bell jar edge(see pictures) but that does not compromise the stability or ability to safely hang this lamp. This lamp has not been converted for electricity and is in good original antique condition(even the glass is covered in age dirt, but I will leave the cleaning to the new owner in case they like the aged look) Please excuse any glares(white patches) that you may see in the pictures. These are caused by reflections of light on the surface and are not on the actual object itself. Please note that I am located in the Netherlands(Amsterdam. Rare Apollo Duplex mid 19th Century brass. Oil student lamp with acorn shaped reservoir and burner. Small dent in acorn shaped reservoir. Bottom of reservoir reads"CLOSE THE VALVE AFTER FILLING. Adjustable cross arm with detailed griffin. The reservoir is decorated on the side with a raised torch. Double burner and finial on bottom, four sided curved base with ornate paw feet and top winged decoration, circular ring on top of feet with reticulated floral decoration. Burner nobs read"M.B. CO. The art glass shade rests on three arms. Strong colors. There is a minor early repair to the top of the shade about 3/4 of an inch as shown in the photo. The latter is only mentioned for accuracy of description. The opening bid in reasonable and is more than likely worth the price of the base alone. It can be converted to electricity; the base has been prepared for this. The class chimney appears to be original to the piece although I am not 100% certain on this. Decorated in gold fleur-de-lis designs, seperated by gilt brass fittings, topped with a kerosene tank and removeable fixture assembly and glass chimney. The lamp was in the process of being converted to electric at some point in the past, but this work was not completed. The bottom of the kerosene tank is stamped: Vaast NY- Maker" the glass is more than likely French made, and is definately in the French taste! This is opaline glass and is NOT cased glass. DESCRIPTION Real unique horse hoof form. I am pretty certain this is a lard burner tho I didnt take any time to remove it as it is friction mounted and stuck. Would probably come right out if you heat it up. Typical lard burner has a long tail. These can date early to mid 19th century. CONDITION Excellent condition. Please look carefully at the photos. Fine quality Bohemian 19th Century oil lamp. Hand painted Sparrows fighting A truly stunning. Rare and fine quality lamp base. This is similar to the Aladdin type lamp where you place the oil vessel into the lamp as opposed to pouring oil directly into the lamp itself. A wonderful cranberry coloured. Faceted glass body with a white glass inside giving it an opaque look. The body being hand enameled with a pair of fighting sparrows a butterfly and I think wisteria. The base I think is gilt bronze or ormolu. The gilding has been worn away from too much cleaning but you can see the gilding on the underside. The base is cast with scrolls and vines around the feet, which is so typical of the Arts and crafts or Art Nouveau movement. Measures 27cm or 10.5" tall by 13cm across the top. I have never sen anything quite like it and I cant find ... moreanything like it either. It is obviously very heavy so the price quoted is for delivery within the UK. This is a superb cranberry glass lamp base with the ormolu decoration of which: During our research we have been informed it cer tainly dates from the 19th century. Of a european origin. Cranberry glass base of a quality with its twelve sides. Converted to a lamp during the early/mid period of the 20th century. Mounted onto the metal ormolu circular base. Bronze ormolu leaf decoration to the neck area. Hole drilled underneath for cable. Has an overall height including all furniture of about 11.5inches. It has an overall max dia of about 4.5inches. Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition is very good and is subject to discolouring to the metal ormolu. All as per pictures. It is more expensive but worth it for your and my protection as EXPERIENCE has shown this to be the safest way to ship fragile items. Additionally I pack and wrap things very well to insure safe arrival. This is for a very old kerosene hand painted glass and brass parlor table lamp. This lamp is unmarked as to maker but the burner is a Queen Anne No. 2. This one is 18" high overall. The brass removeable font seems to be in good shape though dented. Notice the brass holder inside the glass part has some age cracks in it but they don't ... morehurt anything. That metal was obviously very thin. The brass font is 6" high and 4" in diameter. The overall diameter of the glass part is 7 1/2" in diameter and is 7 3/4" high. The base is of cast iron. This elaborate parlor lamp is very old and likely the 1890's. Late 19th Century European Antique Oil Lamp (converted to electric).
Late 19th Century Kerosene Oil lamp made in Europe(most likely France by it's style) The lamp was converted to electric some time ago. Stands 27 inches high(including chimney) It has a beautifully hand painted porcelain/ceramic(vase) body signed by the artist(artist unknown) The base and stem are brass and has a smoked/etched glass globe top. It still has the European plug from the initial conversion along with the U.S. converter so as to plug into a standard outlet. It is in perfect working condition. Rare French 19th Century Porcelain Lamp
Here is a rare French porcelain lamp. It stands 17 inches with a total height of 38 inches. There are no identifying marks on the bottom, it is mounted on a solid brass dolphin motif base. The condition is excellent with no damage seen. There is light gold wear from years of cleaning. This vase was probably mounted as a lamp in the 1940's. The porcelain on this lamp is of very hard milky white hand painted quality. Almost hard to appreciate in photos. It has a three way vintage socket and wiring, all working well. This lamp will be double boxed and well padded.

This is an old antique 19th Century painted tole on metal French or Italian Bouillotte two arm table lamp from wonderful old estate done in a figural musical harp motif. It is 16" tall by 13 5/8" across top and the base is 7" by 3 3/4" It is a mustard color with a scene of figures at Roman like ruins. The scene is different on each side. It has the cord cut off and came with no shade. It has slight wear to the paint on a couple of edges not worth noting. See closeup. I also see a tiny 1/8" pinhead hoe on the base which has a 7/8" scratch with paint loss line that runs from the hole to the lamp body. See closeup. This is in wonderful condition for its age. A stunning and beautiful 19th century Antique Victorian Parlor Oil Lamp with Green Cased Glass shade. The lamp is original oil. The impressive base features applied bow and wreath decorations. The base and spill ring are solid brass with lovely detail filigree. The lamp sits very firmly and solidy. The lamp appears to be a Bradley& Hubbard. Though I am not certain. The base is in wonderful condition. The rich forest evergreen cased glass shade is in nice condition. One tiny flea bite. Less than a 1/16” at the top. and a few areas of paint along the bottom, which is not visible when it is sitting on the tripod mount. The font tank has a couple small indents and some creases. Consistent with age. The interior of the tank appears to have been coated with tank sealer. Beautiful 19th C. oil lamp, pink milk glass font, marble column base no vaseline
19th C. oil lamp. The brass-mounted turned marble column base supporting a glass font with vertical stripes of milk glass, graduating from white at the base to pink at the top. The stripes have a vey"vaseliney" look to them, but I have tested this with a black-light and it does not fluoresce like true vaseline glass. Total height to the top of the burner is 14 1/2" 37cm) the diametre of the font is 4 3/4" 11.5cm) and the brass burner is just over 2" 5cm) across at the widest point, to take a 2" fitter shade. The brass parts are lightly tarnished(easily buffed up if so desired) and there is a small split on one side of the brass collar at the top of the marble column(photo No.8) otherwise in very good condition, with everything working as it should.
