Antique Table Boudoir Lamp Slag Glass Shade Lily Pattern Cast Iron Base Bronzed
This auction is for an electric lamp with a slag glass shade. The base is marked 831 on the underside. The base is cast iron with a finish over it. The other parts are not iron. Some wear and/or small chips to the finish. Measures 16 1/2" assembled. The shade itself is 6 1/2" tall and the opening is 7" across. Some rough areas and chips on the edges of the glass pieces but nothing that shows from the outside and no cracks, some scratches or scuffs on the outside, the metal hides any edge damage. Antique Arts Crafts Art Glass Green Slag Mission Table Lamp Brass Iron Rivets
This nice period lamp dates ca. 1900-1915 and manufactured in an era when they could be“wired” for either gas or electricity. It measures 24” tall(16” to the top of the socket) and sports an original 8” x 35” square shade having solid brass riveted frame with steel under structure. The textured opalescent slag glass is all original with no cracks. But a tiny corner loss as photographed. The base is brass plated cast iron with minor rust and it is very dirty and attic fresh. The owner thought it should be re-wired for sale, so that has been done. Degué Wonderful french art deco lamp in wrought iron. Around 1926-1936, with a glass paste shade in beautiful coloured mothled glass signed Degué. Being the company of David Guéron. From Jewish Turkish origin he came to France to join the foreign legion. Seduced by the modern art déco movement in the early 30ies he set up his own glasscompany attracting craftsmen from the Schneider company producing vases and shades for lighting 1926 onwards. Like most glass makers and lighting factories the Degué company did not survive the financial crisis of the 30ies. Production stopped in 1936 and the plant finaly closed down in 1939. Small Boudoir Table Lamp Vtg Cast Iron RMR Arts & Crafts Era Needs Cord & Socket
For sale today I have this small boudoir/ nightstand/ table lamp. The listing is for the parts shown. The shade. Finial and cord are not present. The socket interior(switch& bulb holder) the paper insulator are worn out and will need to be replaced if the the lamp is to be used. The lamp has an overall height of 13-3/8" as measured from bottom of base to the top of harp. The base and harp are made of cast iron and finished with a gold-tone color paint that looks like the original finish to me and it shows age. Wear and grime. The socket shell and base cap are brass and they have natural age/use aquired"patina" and surface wear. The bottom of the lamp is marked with the cast-in raised letters"R.M.R. above"305" and the letter"A" to the left of the"R.M.R. marking. This table was the original owner's Grandparent's table, and we would estimate that it is from the early 1900's era, as best as we can tell. I would certainly say that the top green naugahyde was added at a later date. This little table has a wonderful look and would be great for an Arts& crafts period home, or simply if you like its unique design. It measures 23 inches tall and is 18 inches across at the top. The hand craftsmanship is exceptionally nice, it is very well made and sturdy, and it weighs about 17 pounds. Offered here is a Vintage Rustic Wrought Iron Teepee With Skin Shade Table Lamp/Night Lite. This old lamp appears to be homemade. The teepee frame is made from wrought iron with a stitched stretched skin shade. Not 100% sure how the decoration was applied to the skin shade- painted or burned? Somewhere along with line. The socket with a pull on/off chain was replaced so its in good working order- please see photos. The Iron was oxidized with surface rust giving this old lamp a very rustic look. The skin has come loose on a couple of places along the seam. Overall in good vintage condition and a great decor addition to perhaps a rustic cabin. Measures approximately 16" tall and 9" wide. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Mid Century(1960s) Italian, iron tole lamp with blown art glass shade. This petite and very interesting table or boudoir lamp features very heavy iron tole with gilded finish. The tole is wheat leaf/bunch design and is tied in the center. The leaves arc and curve to form a distinctive scrolled pattern. The lamp has a large(diameter) candlestick feature at the top center. In this section, a very large, Venetian, blown glass"gazing ball" styled shade is housed. The glass is quite exquisite with hundreds of air bubbles. The glass is golden amber in color. This is a very rare design and not too many of these are available. There are no manufacturing stickers remaining but the lamp is most likely Italian in design. The lamp operates with one regular bulb(not the candelabra type) The lamp and the glass are both in extremely nice condition with very little evidence of age. It is a heavy, gilt/gilded iron tole, with a purposeful, rubbed finish. The finish allows the black iron tole color to be revealed and adds to the gorgeous, aged look of this lamp. The lamp base is raised and features three, very long dolphin or koi fish. The trio are perched on curved acanthus leaves. Their fin sections are exaggerated and repeat the acanthus feature. this is a rare very large antique Art Deco bronze and cast iron electric table lamp. very early. Patent applied for# E 334. it has exquisite ornate detailing. And extremely heavy. the base and shaft are made from solid cast iron with stunning detailing in high relief. it has a very long solid shaft with intricate finishing pieces. it has two wonderfully swirled bronze arms. Each holding a single generic size bulb, with dripping candle socket covers. the shade is handmade from real shell and has a nice gold gilt skeleton, it is a very nice shape for this style shade. Very well made. the very large solid cast iron finial is absolutely gorgeous with nice cut out detailing. it works great and measures 31 3/4 inches tall by 15 inches wide. Antique Vintage Cast Iron Green Stained Slag Glass Angel Cherub Table Lamp
You are bidding on a Vintage Table Lamp. I can find no maker's mark on the lamp itself. There was some information on the old socket. But I think it was just the socket maker, and it has since been replaced with a new one. This lamp is about 22 inches tall with the shade on it. The base of lamp has a square that is about 7.5 x 7.5 inches. The shade is very heavy. It is made of a green stained/slag glass that is very heavy, but light still passes through it very nicely. It measures about 12 inches in diameter and it is about 7.5 inches tall. This lamp weighs a total of just under 12 pounds. When I found this lamp, the socket did not work so I took it to a lamp shop and had the socket replaced, the cord is still the same. The lamp works now just as it should. It has slide mechanism to turn it on or off. There is a finial on the top that ... moreyou remove by screwing it off and then you have access to remove the shade. The shade support is also removeable by pinching the two sides and it comes out of the groove by design. Condition- It is pre-owned and well used. The metal parts of the base and shade have oxidation and discoloration but that definitely adds a nice patina to the piece. The inner glass is intact. There could be a few small flea bites where the glass jostles around because it is just held in place by metal prongs. The lamp works, as stated the socket is new, but the cord was left because I wanted to leave the lamp as original as possible. As far as the age of the piece, I really have no idea, my research has come up empty. It really is a beautiful lamp, and if nothing else, its definitely aesthetically pleasing to look at. Antique Wood Brass Cast Iron Carriage Lamp foyer table desk lamp
This is a beautiful antique table lamp with a heavy cast iron base with a carved wooden post and a Carriage like bevel glass(encased) shade. This shade is a metal tin painted a matte black color. There is a couple of scuffs and nicks on paint but not bad and easy to fix. The lamp is sturdy, stands up straight, and measures about 16 1/2" tall and 6" wide at base. This lamp weighs more than 4 lbs. There are scuffs and scratches on the wood post of this lamp- only from previous use and wear from age. There are straight hairline cracks in the wood post but it looks like this is how the wood is placed together, like a wainscoting design. Not sure of type of wood- could be walnut? The carriage like looking shade has beveled clear glass panes framed in metal with brass top. None of the clear glass panes are chipped or cracked. Not sure ... moreof maker- There are numbers marked on the bottom of bare cast iron base but no maker name. This lamp seems to have an original outlet cord and plug- prongs on plug are marked Academy Automatic Made in USA~ Albeit. This lamp is probably about 50 years old or older. It would look great in a foyer hall or side table in an office. The bulb shown has an amber tint- this bulb will be included. This is a gorgeous vintage 20s cast iron lamp. I was sure that this lamp was Pairpoint but I can't find a mark on it. The lamp is heavy cast iron with a bronze finish. It has great art nouveau style. It has painted green, red and yellow highlights on the base. The lamp measures 23" tall and the base is 8-1/2" wide. The lamp is in excellent working condition. It has been rewired and it has a new top cap. On close inspection it shows normal patina and there may be a few vintage scuffs but nothing outstanding. OLD VINTAGE CARVED WOOD WROUGHT IRON BLOWN CAGED AMBER GLASS SPANISH TABLE LAMP
We are pleased to offer this beautiful table lamp. This older vintage. Petite table lamp has the appearance of a custom made lamp and does not look like a mass produced piece. It features a carved wood base and fixed shade. Scrolled, wrought iron is also abundant. The lamp also has the original, blown glass, globe shade sits inside the fixed shade. It fits over the light bulb and rests in a custom cradle. The glass shade is quite nice. The frame is a caged design and the amber glass has been blown into the frame. The surface of the glass is purposefully uneven and unpolished. It has a very rough texture and is somewhat sharp to the touch in areas. The fixed lamp shade has vertical wood panels with wrought iron in between the wood. The wood(I think it is pine) features a notched pattern. It is finished in a medium to dark brown stain. The ... morelamp is in good condition. It has not been refinished so it does have a beautifully aged patina and an aged character. The glass shade is good. The section of the glass that fits into the permanent collar/fitter section of the caged iron does have a section that is uneven and looks chunked. It appears as if it occurred when the glass was blown, during the finishing process. It is not visible as it is hidden by the iron collar. It does not affect the fit or the function of the shade. The wiring is vintage but is in working condition. The lamp has an on/off switch near the base. The lamp measures 18.75" tall. The base is 10.25" in diameter. The wood and iron fixed shade is 10" long. It has a top diameter of 8" and a bottom diameter of 11" The glass globe shade is 6.75" tall. This is a very large antique early 1900's gold gilded brass. Iron, and marble electric table lamp. it is very ornate with a wonderful Victorian style. the base is very heavy and made from a double tiered black marble. It has nice color and veining. right above the gold gilded base is made from iron and has a brass shaft. it holds three dripping candle shaped sockets and an adjustable lamp shade shaft. it is also topped with a nice gold gilded finial. there is an on/off switch located right in-between the arms. it has a nice patina from age measuring 29 3/4 inches tall by 7 inches wide. in nice working shape. Antique Original Cast Iron Painted Oscar Bach Style Table Lamp c. 1900-1940
This is an exceptional table lamp in the style of Oscar Bach(1884-1957) He was a master of metalwork who came to Germany in 1911 to New York. He was one of the most noted figures in the field of decorative arts in the first half of the 20th century. Oscar Bach was commissioned by many wealthy individuals. And also did custom work for the Empire State Building, Yale University and the Procurement Division of the U.S. Treasury Division, among others. This lamp has no known makers marks on it. It is made primarily of cast iron and has a possible faux mica type finish on the enclosed shade. It appears to be all original( the underside of the lamp shade may have been painted or it may be the original paint) There appears to be no repairs, damage or missing parts. The lamp is in very good working condition. It could have been used in many different ... moreplaces such as a bank or in a hotel/ motel setting. I believe it to be from the early 1900s to the 1940s. The base has eight mother of pearl call buttons on it. The approx. measurements are: 16 1/2" L x 9" W x 19" H(to the end of the finial) The lamp weighs about 20 lbs. Antique Lyhne industrial shaded table lamp was patented in 1910 by Anker S. Lyhne amd sold by Beers Sales Company. Bridgeport, Conn. Made for home, office or workshop with a revolving reflector/shade to prevent glare. The lamp itself can be put in pretty much any angle from side to side or straight up according to the users need since the arm can be articulated with the dial. The shade can be moved from side to side or down also according to the users needs. The base is 6-1/2" in diameter. The arm is 8" long and the shade is 6-3/4" x 5-1/2" It has a brass finish with a cast iron base. It has at one time been rewired and the wire and cord are in fine condition. The base is marked Lyhne Lamp Patd July 12 10, Dec 19 11 USA. Of, course, it has been used and does show some wear on the brass finish.The reflector on the inside ... morealso shows some wear and the arm has a few surface rust spots on one side all consistent with its age and use. D July 12'10, Dec 10'11. This lamp moves up and down. As well as forward and backware using the tube and knob adjustments. The lamp has a shade that also is moveable. Solid/plated brass with a weighted cast iron base. This lamp has the original cord and actually works. However it would be advisable to rewire as the cording is quite old and is fraying. Please see the additional photographs for details and close-up views. This lamp needs a clean-up and some TLC but all parts are intact and functioning. The shade was directly mouth-blown in the metal setting; which shows the artistry of the piece. in addition it is covered with metal grape leaves and grapes. Adding more sophistication.
