Antique machine age art deco chrome table lamp Chase, Markel era industrial
Up for bids is a fantastic old lamp from a Cape cod estate. It is in excellent original condition with only light wear. It stands about 16" tall to the top of the arm. The shade is about 7 1/2" in diameter. And the base is about 6 1/2" in diameter. The cord is in good shape and free from cuts or splices. The plug is the original bakelite type. The chrome has no rust and very nice luster. A classic lamp. Thanks for looking.

Vintage industrial desk lamp. Features metal articulating arms. Cast iron joints, a vintage cast base, an aged brass lamp shade, and three antique cast iron valve handles. The shade, base and handles have a wonderful patina. Wiring is brand new reproduction brown twisted cloth cord and a new antique style plug. Everything works perfectly and safely. The brass socket and turn key have an oil-rubbed bronze finish. The base is a heavy cast iron. Three separate joints enable the lamp to be positioned in a wide variety of ways. The handles at all three joints make re-positioning easier. The valve handles can easily be switched to the opposite side if preferred. I can do that for the winning bidder if requested. The antique milk glass shades are free of chips or cracks but do have straw marks from the manufacturing process. Description" Up-cycled from the best and most unique materials I could find. This one and only lamp is one of my favorites and came together as if it were asking to be this way. As often the case, I managed to offset the industrial appeal with a touch of elegance that flows together as if manufactured that way to begin with. The base is solid cast iron with original black enamel paint and a pin stripe like design painted in gold. The shade is solid brass along with the attached fittings being grade A solid thick wall brass. The socket is early higher end made by Meteor and has a porcelain inner body. The cord is updated industrial grade and it detaches at the lamp with an early Hubble twist plug. The wall plug is an industrial grade machine age fused plug with two buss style fuses for negative and positive. It's more than UL compliant ... moreand will handle the load without a problem. If a steam locomotive had a study, this would have offset it quite nicely indeed, I think. It is 17 inches long by 12 inches high and is heavy. Description" I would call this the Tiffany of industrial art lamps in that it projects elegance and class with an early Classic Edison electrical appeal. The epitome of if Tesla met Tiffany if you will. It stands 18 inches tall and the shade is 13 inches in diameter. This one and only lamp is one of my favorites and came together with great struggle but in the end rather serendipitously. As you can see I designed this one very mechanically so that the shade can be moved a couple inches up and down to hide or display the bulbs. And tilt back as to be used as sort of a spotlight in that it can direct the light forward without any beaming. It is indeed very interactive and yet with no useless parts. It has a variety of solid materials starting with the cast iron base to the aluminum shade. Vintage Antique Industrial OC White Wall Lamp Machine Age Mirrored Light Shade
For your consideration is a great looking OC White wall lamp with an antique mirrored reflector. The OC White parts all bear the signature markings. As shown throughout the photos. The lamp has a piece of reclaimed antique barn flooring as a base. The wormy chestnut base measures 3 3/4" x 8" and still retains some of the original saw marks. The lamp with its 24" arm will adjust to a total length of over 40" including the shade. The reflecting shade is 11" in diameter and retains much of the original green paint. The mirrors are intact with not breaks but does have silvering loss. The antique brass paddle switch socket accepts a standard bulb(bulb not included) The 12' long cord is a new 18 gauge cloth covered wire with an old two prong plug. The base is 6" square and the lamp is 10" wide and adjust to a total height of 17" The vintage paddle switch socket accepts a standard base bulb(bulb is included) The lamp has cloth covered wiring and an old fashioned two prong plugs. Offered is a Dazor articulating drafting type lamp. Model 2124. The bronze tone surface is in fair condition for its age and exhibits the great"patina" that is accepted in vintage industrial goods. There are some slight areas of surface rust that can be cleaned up a bit if you are bothered by them. This lamp simply exhibits all that you expect from an item used for decades in an industrial environment. The lamp works well and is ready to mount and use. Theme of this lamp Machine Age Aviation Instrument Control panel Lamp CC#22 1. The instruments used in this lamp came mostly from salvaged F4 Phantom jets used during the Vietnam War era. 2. The frame for this lamp is black iron pipe. And salvaged gears from old farm tractors. This gives the lamp a machine age look. The aviation feature panel has gauges that would typically be used in fighter jets post machine age. 3. During the Vietnam War. The F-4 was used extensively; it served as the principal air superiority fighter for both the Navy and Air Force, and became important in the ground reconnaissance roles late in the war. 4. Located on the bottom right of the panel is a military UHF communications receiver-transmitter control unit. Prior to take off on flight missions. A pilot would select his communications channel frequency, which was ... moreassigned by air traffic operations. A common emergency channel frequency selection of 243.0 MHz was for military use. Also known as Military Air Distress(MAD) or UHF Guard. 5. Located on the bottom left of the panel is an F4 military IFF transponder control panel. IFF was used by military flight operations to determine if a target plane was friendly. Identification-Friend-or Foe) A military secret code was installed and changed every day in ground operations and also into the flying aircraft. The ground secondary radar would interrogate a subject target plane with coded mode 2 electronic pulses. And if the target plane responded back with the proper code for the day it could be determined if the target was friendly. 6. Included with this lamp is a 60W antique vintage style bulb; any standard size medium bulb will work. 7. Located on back side of this lamp is a variable intensity dimmer control. FANTASTIC ANTIQUE'BRYANT' INDUSTRIAL ~ MACHINE AGE WORK LAMP LIGHT Fresh WORKING piece. SCARCE Circa 1910 adjustable articulating arm lamp with scissor or accordion armature. 2" wall bracket with four mounting holes. ALL ORIGINAL including the wiring. Which is the archaic string-wrapped type, cracked, and must be upgraded for safety. The arms of the lamp and the half-round shade are brass. The first arm off the scissor armature is 12" long. The second is 10" long in total- including the shade. Marked on lamp and switch BRYANT. There are small metal cord guides attached to each bar of the scissor armature. The scissor arm measures 8" closed and extends out to 28" It is metal, and is magnetic. Some surface discoloration/rust on scissor part as shown. Uncleaned and offered as shown.
