VINTAGE PINK GLASS WALL-MOUNTED LAMP WITH VINTAGE FLORAL SHADE
Vintage wall-mounted pink glass lamp with floral shade. Cord. And plug. I'm guessing this dates from the late 1930s or 1940s. Great retro. Girly style! The lamp is in very good working condition. It looks like it has a newer cord and cardboard candle cover. There are no chips or cracks in the clear rosette at the bottom of the candle cover, or in the pressed pink glass. And only some slight color loss. The chrome arm is slightly pitted. But still looks fine. The floral paper shade has no rips or tears. But does have some slight smudging. In my opinion. There's nothing that detracts from the lamp's appearance. Measurements: The pink glass base is about 9 inches tall and 4 inches wide; the arm and candle cover are about 7 inches tall. And the clear glass rosette is 3 1/4 inches across. The lamp itself projects about 7 inches from ... morethe wall. Vtg Wall LAMP Sconce Wrought Iron Frosted Glass Art Deco Modern Style, Damp Room
Here is a very interesting WALL LAMP. Sconce, which is vintage but I don't know the exact period for it. It has a very typical Modern Art or Art Nouveau style. But the glass shades look more Art Deco(20's-30's) However. I don't think the lamp was made at the beginning of the 20th century, but probably a little bit later. It is also possible that the glass shades/globes are original ones from the 30's. While the lamp itself is not. The Lamp is pretty heavy because of the glass and the wrought iron. The shades are in frosted glass with raised patterns. The twigs holding the shades are in wrought iron painted by such a way, that they look like bronze. But I have no idea about the material of the background which is behind the twigs. It is painted like bronze as well, but it seems lighter than the rest. It looks like a light ... morewood or resin/plaster, I am not sure. The part behind this. Where the electrical cords are, is in painted metal. At the back of the lamp. It is said that it can be used in damp locations, so a bathroom would be fine for this lamp, for example. As you can see on the photos. It is possible to position the shade at the middle towards the right, to the left, or to the center. I don't know if it is because the bolt at the back needs to be tightened, or if is purposely made like that. The bolt seems to be tightened enough to me. But maybe it will be better to check this. I think it was made in USA. Because at the back, it is written in English, French and Spanish. But I can't guarantee it, since the origin is written nowhere. The bulbs to be used are the regular ones: usual size I mean. Size of the Lamp: 24" wide. 10" tall, 9" deep. It is pretty heavy. So it is better to have a sturdy wall or strong screws to use it. Condition: The brown/bronze paint needs a few touch-ups(some color is missing here and there) And there are traces of a wall paint(ivory) on the back of the lamp. A further cleaning may be necessary, and the electrical part will need to be checked

C.1920s This auction is for this beautiful sconce from a German hunting chalet. Th back plate is carved from oak and stained a walnut brown. The edges are decorated with carved oak leaves. The large antler is a fallow deer antler and decorated with silver colored metal oak leaves and acorns. To the right and left we have a roebuck stag antler. The fallow deer antler holds a little lantern style shade that is green and red glass and held together by metal. Probably pewter or lead framing. The antlers have a beautiful rich and deep patina and the lamp shade is in good used condition as well- except for one panel that shows a crack, see photos. Ity doesn't detract when ... morelooking at the piece and it's not super noticeable. The lamp has been converted for American plus and can hold a full size bulb. It measures from the top of the fallow deer antler to the bottom of the antler it is 22" high. The back plaque that holds the antlers is 7.5" wide and the antlers are 8.5" deep. The little glass chandelier measures without the chain 6" high and on the top it is 4.5" wide and on the bottom it is 3.5" wide and respectively it is 4.5" to 3.5" deep. Here's an old all original wall sconce with perfect all matching caramel slag glass on all four panels sides and bottom. There are no cracks or chips. The glass is dappled and not smooth with nice striations. The brass metal work is nearly mint with minor age related bruising. The bottom filligree is slightly askew. There is a newer plug on the back and two interior sockets. Both work fine The glass is superb on this piece. I have quite a few slag glass lamps in my collection. The glass on this lamp is as good as any I own. This piece would look great on a porch or hallway. The dimensions are 21 x 9 lamp metal filligree dimensions and 5x13 side panels and 8x5 bottom panel. Vintage Art Nouveau Cast Bronze Wall Sconces with Painted Uranium Glass Shades
We recently completed a massive reno of our home that took many years to complete as we did much of the work ourselves and took our time searching for'just the right' fixtures at demolition sales. Estate sales etc. In the process, we accumulated more fixtures than we actually needed and are slowly editing our collection through Ebay. This pair of'20's era Art Nouveau styled wall sconces will need to be re-wired. Alternatively. They can be used as candle sconces only. I have not taken out the plug ends which are in the bottom of the bulb holder, but this is easily done by an electrician or handy'do it yourselfer' Measure 11.5" in height and approx. 3.5" wide. 29 x 8.5 cm) Great detail. Note the layered back-plate with arabesque scrolls etc. The curved neck of embossed brass holding the bulb and the graceful ... moreswag of brass below the bulb. The glass shades are opaque with transfer work floral details but I was suspicious of the opaque glass and sure enough, when placed under an ultra-violet light, the shades glowed bright green indicating that they are vaseline or'uranium' glass. For those unfamiliar with uranium glass, they are harmless as the radiation emited is extremely small. Uranium was used in glass frequently up until the'40's when it was needed for industrial and military use. The great thing is however is that uranium glass highly collectible so here you're not only getting great sconces the shades are collectible on their own! For even more variety. These sconces can be used with open candle style bulbs or they can be used with the painted glass globes in place, for a more traditional look. One of the glass shades is'perfect' The other has a small chip in the part which slots into the holder(i.e. unseen when in place) and a crack which can be placed against the wall when in use so it too is not visible.
