I have up for sale a wonderful vintage circa 1910-1920s signed H A BEST LAMP CO Chicago. Ill USA lamp base- originally meant for a slag glass lamp. The ring diameter for the ring fitter would be approx 2-3/4" diameter. The lamp is very ornate and has the original antique gold finish. It stands approx 22" no including the finial which may or may not be the original but looks good together. It is in Very Good to Excellent Condition- No damages but a few minor manufacturing mold imperfections- a few small inclusions- basically what you see in pic#2- maybe a couple more but nothing thats any real big deal. No chips. No cracks, No repairs, its as it was from the factory. I am unsure if the sockets are original or not- The top caps have a bright yellowish tint but the bottoms look correct- I am not sure just pointing out what I see. This auction is for an electric lamp with a slag glass shade. The base is marked 831 on the underside. The base is cast iron with a finish over it. The other parts are not iron. Some wear and/or small chips to the finish. Measures 16 1/2" assembled. The shade itself is 6 1/2" tall and the opening is 7" across. Some rough areas and chips on the edges of the glass pieces but nothing that shows from the outside and no cracks, some scratches or scuffs on the outside, the metal hides any edge damage. Vintage RUBY Red BOHEMIAN Glass CUT to CLEAR 18" Table LAMP w/MARBLE Base BRASS

My opinion is that the glass is Bohemian. It's quite beautiful with a heavy glass center that appears to be ruby red(I think, rather than"flashed" red) which is cut to clear in a geometric pattern. The fittings appear to be brass and the base/ foot is marble(with felt lining on bottom. A fairly large piece. The glass measures approximately 6" in diameter. The base is about 5" square. Not counting ... morethe finial, it is 18 1/4" tall. This piece appears to be in generally excellent used/old condition and- as you can see in the next to last pic- it works great. I don't see any cracks or damage on the cord. Either. However, I can not remove the harp. and I am not going to try to force it. The only damage I see is some green on the stem- discoloration or just needs cleaning/ polishing? Please do examine the pictures carefully but note that any bright white and/or yellow spots on pics are just glare/flash! No manufacturing marks found. Two tone bronze patinas. Base is yellow bronze casting the upper classical urn body is a dark liver patina. I took the base apart looking for identifying larks and showed interior in photos. Light sockets work with original wiring and toggles. this is a slag lamp base from the 1920's sturdy enough to hold a very large slag glass canapy. Only one defect is minor dent in the shadows of side that I backlighted to exaggerate for you to see better. It is not noticable. Found in North Crown Heights. Brooklyn Historic district.

It's just under 14" at pictured. The glass shaft has chips were it connects to the base as in the photos. The mirror has a chip as in the photo but it's on the underneath side(don't know how that happens) The top side you feels is not chipped. We have here a rare and hard to find authentic, WILKINSON LEADED STAINED GLASS LAMP on a Wilkinson base, which is signed with a number on the bottom. The number is a little hard to make out and might be 308, 309. Wilkinson uses 5 normally so it might be 508 or 509. This BEAUTIFUL Lamp is a stunner, BOTH ON and OFF as with leaded glass lamps, it's all about the color and this has GREAT COLORS& TEXTURE! I have seen this shade with this same floral pattern but not with these colors; and if you like BLUES& GREENS, PINKS& GOLDEN YELLOW ORANGE, this is for you. The choice of glass is OUTSTANDING. There is great coloration and excellent use of glass selected for TEXTURE, such as RIPPLE, slag, striated, swirling, marble& mottled glass, all expertly selected in the making ... moreof this shade. The shade is about 18.5 inches across x 8 3/8' tall. This is the known factory size, and it goes to show that this was never repaired. The height of the HEAVY library base is about 27' to the top of the ball finial. The shade is unsigned, which is normal and to be expected; but this is a known, fully DOCUMENTED LAMP made by Wilkinson Company in Brooklyn, New York, between 1907 and 1915. Darling blue slag stained glass table lamp. Top shade lead panels are individual basket of flowers per panel- 6 panels; base has matching basketful of flowers- 4 panels. All slag glass panels are intact. Stands 12.5 inches to top of cap. 14.5 inches including finial. Base is 4 inches wide, and shade is 8 inches across. Great for"mood" lighting- both top and base light up! We'll include light bulbs. As they are such a good match with the lamp: we've used a short 25 watt(med base) opaque bulb for the top and a night light bulb for the base.

Antique Reverse Painted Glass Jefferson Table Lamp Scenic Double Socket Base
J efferson reverse painted table lamp. The hand painted shade is 18 inches in diameter and is in mint condition. There are no chips or flakes on the edges and no fractures or cracks in the shade itself. The glass is decorated with an ice chip texture similar to the techniques used by Handel. Although not signed. Based on the design of the woodland scene this lanp has been identified as being part the Prince Charles group as pictured in the Millender books of lamp catalog and is referred to as number L1 888 Woodland Rd. it is also pictured on page 118 in Antique Lamp Buyers Guide by Nadja Maril; Schiffer Publishing. The double socket base appears to have been altered with a different finial top the rewired base measures 26" x 8.5" and there is some scratching and wear on the base as shown in the photos. Gorgeous antique/ vintage Electric Lamp Ornate Metal(unsure of what kind- cast iron/ brass? Has a Bulbous yellowish-ivory glass base- WOW! I don't know if the base was originally cut- or not. I think it must have had felt or something. 25 and 3/4" to top and just base is about 13 and 1/2" The metal is designed like a drape going down onto the glass Glass is heavy- think and perfect Some of the metal is dirty(don't know how to clean it) or worn. Antique slag glass / leaded glass table lamp base LARGE cast iron complete
Up for bid is this early 1900's table lamp base. It is cast iron. Heavy and ornate. 23 inches tall without finial. Finish appears original and needs restored. Finial is not original. 3 1/8 shade fitter plus 1/8 inch lip. Sockets with pulls appear original but I do not know if they work but they work freely. There is no cord on the lamp. I cannot find a signature so maker is unknown to me but is very well made with detail. This is a great base for a restoration project. Offered to lower 48 states only. Thank you.

Very nice lamp by Edward Miller. I do not know if the slag glass shade is original to the piece but the hardware fittings seem to fit perfectly. Base is marked and numbered#1161(style) Base has original patina. All other hardware appears to be original and is oxidized and will need to be cleaned or refinished. Nice project lamp! Shade is damaged in that two slag glass pieces are missing. Should be and easy repair for a stained glass artisan. The cream/brown colored slag glass is not super hard to find. Up for auction is a Vintage Slag Table Lamp with Fringe around the shade and it has a metal base that is heavy. I purchased this several years ago at an estate sale to use in my guest bedroom and now I am moving and can not use it in the new home Only thing wrong with lamp is some of the fringe is missing in spots. This item is in very good +++ Vintage condition. I have added many pictures to show just how nice this item is. This Item is in Very good condition with only very Minor flaws. But needs to be mentioned in the description. This lamp shade shows very minor flaw's, The lamp shows a few cracks and hair lines fractions in the slag glass at the rims edge. It looks as if the lamps was hit on the rims edge and bent downward and cracked the slag stained glass. BUT This item as you will see in my posting shows where it has been ... moredented on the rims edge and that caused the slag glass to crack, though there are no missing pieces and are very minor Cracks, flaw's. This item shows very minor hair lines and cracks though you will notice the rims edge is a little off center and Not totally round. I feel this can be a very easy fix. This item was purchased at an Estate Auction and is being sold as in found condition as described in listing. Please view item being listed for a visual description as well.
