The milk glass cylinder shades slip on and cover the sockets. There are two light bulbs included. I tested them and they are both currently working. The metal brackets used for securing the fixtures are also included. These are in nice condition overall. There is some age wear. The chrome may shine up more with a polishing. There are some minor paint drippings that are around the perimeter. I have only lightly dusted these. The finish is a little dull. But there is no pitting, rust or damage. These do have different switches on them. I haven't tested these, I am really not handy with electrical wiring. The sockets are ceramic, so they are likely original. The milk glass looks good. There are no cracks in the shades. The bottom rim has the typical roughness of a glass shade. The bulb sockets on these take a standard size. These measure 17" long and 2.5" wide. Vtg Wall LAMP Sconce Wrought Iron Frosted Glass Art Deco Modern Style, Damp Room
Here is a very interesting WALL LAMP. Sconce, which is vintage but I don't know the exact period for it. It has a very typical Modern Art or Art Nouveau style. But the glass shades look more Art Deco(20's-30's) However. I don't think the lamp was made at the beginning of the 20th century, but probably a little bit later. It is also possible that the glass shades/globes are original ones from the 30's. While the lamp itself is not. The Lamp is pretty heavy because of the glass and the wrought iron. The shades are in frosted glass with raised patterns. The twigs holding the shades are in wrought iron painted by such a way, that they look like bronze. But I have no idea about the material of the background which is behind the twigs. It is painted like bronze as well, but it seems lighter than the rest. It looks like a light ... morewood or resin/plaster, I am not sure. The part behind this. Where the electrical cords are, is in painted metal. At the back of the lamp. It is said that it can be used in damp locations, so a bathroom would be fine for this lamp, for example. As you can see on the photos. It is possible to position the shade at the middle towards the right, to the left, or to the center. I don't know if it is because the bolt at the back needs to be tightened, or if is purposely made like that. The bolt seems to be tightened enough to me. But maybe it will be better to check this. I think it was made in USA. Because at the back, it is written in English, French and Spanish. But I can't guarantee it, since the origin is written nowhere. The bulbs to be used are the regular ones: usual size I mean. Size of the Lamp: 24" wide. 10" tall, 9" deep. It is pretty heavy. So it is better to have a sturdy wall or strong screws to use it. Condition: The brown/bronze paint needs a few touch-ups(some color is missing here and there) And there are traces of a wall paint(ivory) on the back of the lamp. A further cleaning may be necessary, and the electrical part will need to be checked

C.1920s This auction is for this beautiful sconce from a German hunting chalet. Th back plate is carved from oak and stained a walnut brown. The edges are decorated with carved oak leaves. The large antler is a fallow deer antler and decorated with silver colored metal oak leaves and acorns. To the right and left we have a roebuck stag antler. The fallow deer antler holds a little lantern style shade that is green and red glass and held together by metal. Probably pewter or lead framing. The antlers have a beautiful rich and deep patina and the lamp shade is in good used condition as well- except for one panel that shows a crack, see photos. Ity doesn't detract when ... morelooking at the piece and it's not super noticeable. The lamp has been converted for American plus and can hold a full size bulb. It measures from the top of the fallow deer antler to the bottom of the antler it is 22" high. The back plaque that holds the antlers is 7.5" wide and the antlers are 8.5" deep. The little glass chandelier measures without the chain 6" high and on the top it is 4.5" wide and on the bottom it is 3.5" wide and respectively it is 4.5" to 3.5" deep. Here's an old all original wall sconce with perfect all matching caramel slag glass on all four panels sides and bottom. There are no cracks or chips. The glass is dappled and not smooth with nice striations. The brass metal work is nearly mint with minor age related bruising. The bottom filligree is slightly askew. There is a newer plug on the back and two interior sockets. Both work fine The glass is superb on this piece. I have quite a few slag glass lamps in my collection. The glass on this lamp is as good as any I own. This piece would look great on a porch or hallway. The dimensions are 21 x 9 lamp metal filligree dimensions and 5x13 side panels and 8x5 bottom panel. Antique c.1900 COLT Sconce Gas Bracket Lamp orig Glass Globe & RARE Wire Cage!!!
A wonderful Colt gas lamp from the late 1800's or early 1900's. Globe original and has nice wavy glass with imperfections such as bubbles but no cracks or hairlines and it is as clear a scan be. In nearly 40 years of dealing in and collecting vintage and antique items. This is the first one I've owned that retains its original steel wire cage around the globe. This wire cage was put in place so that you would not burn yourself when near or around the glass globe. A quick search on the net turned up copper cages so they are out there but I could not find a steel one. One would assume that the copper ones were earlier then in later years they changed to steel due to expense and conductivity. I believe most of the parts to be original to the lamp however the cap leaves a question in my mind. The ones I've had in the past had ... morethe colt name embossed into the cap. This one does not but the cap looks old, the screw that holds the finial on looks correct and the finial looks correct as well so it may be possible that in later years the Colt company eliminated the name on the cap. There is a raised ridge inside the cap for the heat screen to sit, finial looks correct. I'm truly on the fence about this particular part so you experts will have to make up your own minds as to originality. The shade holder is patented 1894 and all the rest of the parts are original. It has been electrified, the wire is in place however there is no socket. The lamp swivels near the valve and when it would be 90 degrees to the wall, the protrusion is 16" Diameter of the cage is about 8" Please view all of the pictures below and if you should have any questions, please feel free to ask. Antique outstanding Brass Glass Lamp Wall Sconce Germany 1920 - 1940
Hello this beautiful wall lamp is made in 1920 thru 1940 in Germany. It is rewired and a new E 27 lampsocket was installed. All by professionel electrician. A Bulb is not included. The Glass is a white/amber opalglass/opaque glass with no cracks. The emitted light is very soft and warm. It is located near Hamburg.
