ANTIQUE GLASS/CRYSTAL HURRICANE LAMP WITH PRISMS - WORKS
For Sale: A beautiful hurricane lamp that is still in working condition. I'm not sure if the material is glass or lead crystal. It's very heavy like crystal and looks like it. But I can't be sure. It measures 11-1/2" tall by 5-1/2" wide. It's not a real thin lamp like some lamps of this type. The glass/crystal on the stem is a little wider and it's very well made. It still works. It just needs a globe. The prisms are all there. The wires have rivets on the ends which is how they stay hooked on the lamp. Two of them are missing the rivet. They still hook to the shade just fine. You just have to bend the wire a little. There is also one rivet missing on one of the wires on the top of one of the long prisms. I did the same thing, I just put the wire through the prism and bent it upwards a bit and it's fine. ... moreOne of the prisms is just a tiny bit rounded on the end versus the sharp V. I'm not sure if it was chipped and then sanded and polished at one time or not. It isn't noticeable. It blends fine because it's the very tip and you really have to look to notice it. All of the prisms are there. I removed some of them for a couple of photos. They are not missing. I also removed all of them so interested buyers could see exactly what the lamp looks like. The prisms will also be removed for shipping. Please review photos closely before bidding. I take many pictures in an effort to ensure that item condition is available to bidders. Made of mostly blown crystal glass(maybe Murano) from the base all the way to the top of lamp. Beautiful glass prisms. Stands about 72" tall. Lamp works perfect takes a large mogul style 3 way bulb. Looks beautiful when lit up it spreads a beautiful array of light across the ceiling. Lamp is in good condition. There are a few of the top curved pieces that are loose they are held in place by plaster sockets which is how they did it back then. Stands 26" tall and the Bohemian glass portion is just 10.75" height. There are large dangling prisms and there is one missing entirely. There is one with a large chunk missing from the bottom, all others have some chips on their pointed tips, chips on pointed tips except for 2 that are in good condition. This Vintage Cut Glass 3 Tier Lamp with 4" 5" Prisms was purchased new in 1965 and has served well for the past 47 years. The condition is FINE with no blemishes to speak of. Being 36" tall with a total of 20 cut glass spears hanging from three(3) glass bowl tiers. This lamp will make an exquisite addition to the decor of any well appointed room. The top tier has six(6) five inch prisms while the middle and lower tiers consist of eight(8) and six(6) 4" prisms respectively. Pr Antique victorian etched Glass Cranbery hurricane Lamps, Prisms true flashed
Beautiful tall etched glass hurricanes with dangling prism crystals in an unusual bright burgundy/pink shade. Probably from middle or late 18th century. Perfect condition. It has electrical wiring but someone has cut the wires at the base(shown in the photos) all electrical is excellent, features toggle switches. It is about 20 inch tall with the hurricanes about 8 inches tall. These are not stained they are flashed. All the wiring is intact and the socket looks in good shape and very solid. I think the cut the wiring in the bottom to avoid carrying around the wires. There is couple of inches of wire in the base that one can attach the plug. I believe one can wire the whole thing. It is very stright forward, the wire goes through a open channal and connects to the socket, not complicated at all. There are 3 prisms in each lamp but there are ... morespot to add 3 more(6 total prisim/lamp) They are all in excelent condition. I have not noticed any cracks anywhere. The tall lamps are hand blown, cut to clear, royal blue glass. These are quality made lamps with attention to detail around each cut- photos do not do them justice. The scalloped edge top is hand cut with notches as shown, the neck or stem of the lamp is cut to clear with clover style shapes which are repeated around the cut base. The 10 cut crystal prisms on each lamp are 2 parts, octagon diamond at the top and long, elaborately cut, 3 sided Prince Albert style drops with spear ends, believe they are original to the lamp however they vary in length some. I could find a mark on either lamp not certain if they are French or Bohemian/Czech. PLEASE ... moreNOTE- These lamps are quite heavy and will be packaged well. Also some of the points are nicked but normal for these spears. they are very heavy and really sparkle in the light. Pair Vintage Antique ? Crystal Cut Glass Table Lamp With Prisms Etched Hurricane
I looked over the glass base and did not see any major issues with the glass base. Actually did not see any issues and I looked pretty closely. The one etched hurricane has a crack in the base that can be seen in the picture. Both lamps need to be rewired. Two crystals are missing. I was able to easily take apart one lamp by hand while the other has rust. I want to cut the cords off and part the lamps for safe shipping. Please advise me of any special requirements you might have before buying. Doing an excellent grade A+ job packing is not a special requirement and is included in the price of this item. UPDATE: Only one crystal short as I found another in a different box. 2/20/14 UPDATE: The lamp with the hurricane stands 12" tall. Measuring just the glass ... moreheight on the base. 6 1/4" tall. The bottom square part of the base is 4 1/8" and the top round glass part of the base measures 4 3/4" diameter. 2/21/2014 UPDATE: Based on all the interest and questions I am having in the lamps I decided to cut the electric cords off and really examine both lamps. Two things I have noticed that are note worthy. One semi-pear glass midsection has 4 hairline cracks. The glass is very thick and these cracks do not carry into the inside of the glass. I never noticed these cracks until I really examined the individual pieces looking for issues. The rest of the glass pieces on both lamps look good. One piece of wire that hangs through the glass base is missing. This thin piece of wire allows the crystal to hang from the lamp. The cords are off and ready to have new wiring. The existing lamp fixtures on the lamps look to be in good condition and will work just fine. New wire and inline switch will be needed. 2/21/14 UPDATE: New wire and plugs added. Kept the switches as new ones would not match the quality of the existing ones. Little over 7 foot long cords. All the effort of wiring and costs means I am not likely to accept a best offer

For sale is what was once a pretty pressed glassed electric lamp with some prisms.The base is completely torn away from the glass and a foot from the base is broken and missing. No cracks or chips to the glass. It is a very beautiful lamp if you can restore it. it measures 31" from bottom of the glass to the harp and 8" at the widest glass point. 7 out of 11 prisms are still in tack. Wonderful Pair Vintage Glass Table Lamp Mid Century Hobnail Works Crystal Prisms
Up for your consideration is an awesome set of electric glass lamps. Both have crystal prisms hanging from rim. There are 12 holes for hanging the prisms. Each lamp has 6 prisms. 1 has a wired repaired. Not a huge deal. The sockets are spring action and most likely original to the lamps. The lamps have silver rings that wrap the neck of the lamp along with glass. The top of the lamps are hobnail design. Both lamps are in great condition and both work! They stand 11 1/2" tall. MASSIVE Vintage MURANO Cased Glass Hanging Lamp/Light Fixture, Billiard. Prisms
Amazing vintage Murano glass hanging light/lamp. I believe the frame is wrought iron. 3 cased glass Murano shades. 3 glass chimneys. The larger middle chimney has a Murano label on it. The frame measures 26 1/4" high and 38" wide and is quite heavy. The smaller shades measure 6 1/4" high and the bottom opening is almost 7 3/4" across. The larger middle shade is 8 1/2" high and the bottom opening is 12 1/2" across. The shades have only minor nicks along the top and bottom rims. There are also many. Many prisms that appear to be glass. Not all of them are shown hanging on the lamp. From moving the lamp around a lot of them have come off and I have them separate. If I had to guess I would say there are probably over 100 of them. They have been in our family since initially purchased. Beautiful cut glass prisms. Bobeches and hurricane globes. These defects must have occurred prior to my parents inheriting them as I do not remember these defects.most likely because they are not noticeable when the hurricanes are placed on the lamps with the edge-flaws toward the back. These small defects are to be expected with antique lamps of this age. I will try to take a photo of the edge defect and post here. Pair Antique White Glass Lustres - Lusters Lamps- Hand Painted w/Prisms - 16"
Description This is a pair of antique mantle lustres or lamps. They are white glass with gold trim and raised painted flowers. There is a gilded metal base on each. Lamps measure 16" tall and 8" in diameter across the top. There are 8 prisms on each- they are 7-1/4" overall and in good condition. The lamps are in working condition with new wires- there is a switch on the back of each lamp to turn it on and off. Lamps take a regular base bulb. There is some gold loss around the bottom and there is a small piece missing on the base rim that holds the lustre. I have shown it in the picture with the blue border. The bases show some wear to the metal. These lamps be packed seperately and they put in a master box. Email with questions. Buyer pays shipping with insurance included. MEASURES 20"X15"X15" THE GLASS VASE HAS MINOR ROUGH EDGES/ CHIPS ON THE BOTTOM. THE ELECTRIC CORD HAS BEEN REPLACED AND WORKS GREAT. THERE ARE 4 PRISMS THAT ARE MISSING- EASY TO REPLACE.
