1880's-1900's Victorian Antique Oil Lamp This 1880's-1900's Victorian Antique Parlor Oil Lamp has been in my personal Antique Collection for over 40 years. This Victorian Oil Lamp is a beautiful work of art with spectacular ornate design and incredible hand craftsmanship. The Satin glass shade globe has a beautiful raised embossed grape design. The lamp oil reservoir with Burner assembly can be removed by lifting it out of the base of the lamp. There is a Full/Out indicator that works on a float valve system. The lamp is missing the glass chimney that is suppose to stick out about 2 inches above the shade. The chimney replacement is very cheap and can be bought at numerous locations. I have seen them in several places over the years for less than $10. This antique Victorian Parlor lamp stands 11 inches tall(without the shade ... moreon) and about 7 inches wide. It is about 21 inches tall with the shade on. The globe is about 11 inches tall and 10 inches wide. This parlor lamp is a wonderful addition to your Victorian decor. Antique Vtg Pink Red Roses GWTW Boudior Parlor Milk Glass Oil Style Table Lamp
Hello and Welcome- This is a gorgeous GWTW Lamp. Standing approx. 26" high w/ 9 1/2" round ball shade. The 10 crystals can be purchased for an extra $20.00, otherwise they are for demonstration only. The lamp is in wonderful working order, with a tiny chip in the top of the shade in the back so it is actually hardly noticeable. The hurricane shade is a little crooked for some reason, so I just put a little twist tie or folded paper in the rim to keep it up right. It is a 3 way lamp, both top and bottom light up together or each one independently. The top lamp takes a standard white bulb, and is as bright as you want it to be. The bottom part of the lamp uses a little Christmas style light bulb, I used a red one to make the lamp a more"pink-er" or red hue. The ornate base bottom consists of four female busts at each of the feet. Long hair from the female busts wrap around the side of the base and connects with eight decorative flowers. This lovely antique lamp is a fine example of a"Mt. Washington Decorated" parlor lamp and is fresh from a Michigan estate. It dates c. 1885 and is a very unusual shape! The overall height. To the top of the shade, but excluding the chimney, is 17 1/2" The shade alone measures 6 1/4" tall with a 10" diameter fitter edge. The glass is satin-smooth and in very good condition, other than one shallow flake/chip out of the top edge of the shade which measures about 1/4" by 1/4" by 1/16" deep.visible in the close-up photo. There are also two very, very small flakes along the bottom fitter edge, from merely taking the shade off and on over the years(very minor) The remainder of the shade is in excellent condition, as is the glass base. The decoration is highlighted in gilt/gold on both the shade and base.glistens in the light! The reverse side is also decorated with iris buds. It was adapted for electricity many years ago, as most of them were.the burner was replaced with a light-bulb socket, the brass tank was drilled for electrical wires, and a notch was cut from the side of the brass shade holder to accommodate the turn switch. It was not the most sensitive electrification, however the electrical works should you decide to plug it in and use it. The fancy cast iron base was repainted gold many years ago, and some of this gold paint got on the glass base.as shown in the photos.a rather sloppy paint job! RARE ANTIQUE Parlor Oil Lamp GEORGIA Blue GLASS PEACOCK FEATHER
You are bidding on a rare Peacock Feather pattern parlor/oil lamp in the extremely rare blue color. The Peacock Feather pattern was made in the 1890's by U.S. Glass. It is part of the States Series of glass. This pattern is also known by the names Georgia. Peacock Eye, and#15076. A band of beaded eyes surrounds the font and the base of the lamp. The beading is small and delicate. A small stippled thumbprint appears in the center of each eye. The base of the lamp is scalloped. The pedestal of the lamp is footed. If you look closely. The pedestal and base look like upside down peacock feathers. The lamp has its original brass collar that was attached with plaster. This lamp is about 6 1/2" in diameter. And it stands 9" tall. There is no maker's mark, but this pattern is attributed to U.S. Glass. There are some bubbles suspended ... morein the glass. And that is a nice sign of early glass. Beautiful Victorian antique double cherub oil lamp. The lamp is an impressingly tall 36 inches in height. 41" including the top of chimney and 17 inches in diameter. The lamp has 48 beautiful shimmering crystals circling the chandelier top in which the prisms measure 4" long! One ball crystal is missing but the long crystal is there, and also 2 have chips on the bottom of the long part. The lamp has three arms each with 6 leaf scrolled leaves. The lamp is complete with the original hand painted shade that features lovely wine colored and yellow roses. Such a wonderful piece of history in amazing shape for the age! Shipping may seem high. While unmarked. This lovely antique banquet/parlor/gwtw lamp was most likely made by Fostoria in the late 1890's. It measures 25 1/2" to the top of the ball shade, with the ball shade alone measuring 8 1/2" tall(measured through the center) The ball shade is the factory original shade decorated with small purple violets which matches the decoration on the font and stem. The violets are decals, with hand over-painting, typical of Fostoria decoration. Around the top of the shade, font, and stem, is a band of bright yellow. The shade retains its original brass heat ring and the fitter edge is without damage. All glass components are in excellent condition with no damage.the font was never drilled, and holds water without leakage. For you consideration is a very old 10 panel slag glass parlor lamp/ light. Nice rare find. It has red glass at the bottom. All glass panels are original and not a single break or chip. The only flaw in this shade is 2 cracked welds that are not noticeable and do not need to be repaired, only if you want it perfect. The lamp needs a chain and wire. This can be converted to just a shade but you would have to have a very large lamp base. Because of it's size and age. I would prefer a local sale and would even drive about 50 miles of ZIP CODE 07461 to meet with or deliver. Bradley Hubbard H&B Ornate Trophy Parlor Lamp Electrified Slag Glass Shade
We found this old lamp at an estate sale. The base has been electrified and is in working condition. The H&B mark is on the cap of the oil tank. The base stands 13 ¼” high to the top of the socket. Light bulb is NOT included. With the shade on. The lamp is 19” high. The shade alone measures approximately 7 ½” wide x 17” wide. I really don’t know anything about lamps of this type but here is what I can tell you: The bottom base of the lamp is not brass. The rest of the metal. Including the handles appears to be brass(a magnet does not stick to it) There are some finish issues to the metal. The reddish brown part of the base is a little‘dull’ looking but other than that. It is in very good vintage condition. There are 3 cracks in the long green slag glass pieces– 2 are near the top. Close to the crown. 1 is just a tiny corner ... morecrack and the other goes all the way across. The other is at the bottom point. None are very noticeable and they are just a couple panels apart so could be put towards the back. Other than that. The shade is in very good vintage condition. The lamp was converted some time ago as the cord and plug are vintage with some wear but still works. The lamp could easily be converted back to an oil lamp if desired. The lamp is stunning milk glass, embossed design with gold accents and a brass and cast iron base. There is also a brass section in the center of the lamp. The metal iron base has slight oxidation in spots from dampness at some time. The oil font cover appears to be brass. It was rewired at one time. And has a bulb inside globe and an on-off switch added at base. The bulb inside globe is burned out, I just noticed that and don't have time right now to change it and add photos. The base unscrews to allow for bulb replacement. Takes a 4½ W standard base bulb inside. I showed photos of the lamp with 3 different type bulbs. So anyone can do different looks with it. Even as ... morea nightlight with a 4½ W regular base bulb with the chimney on top. Or, one could use a flicker bulb to resemble a burning flame. Stands 12" tall. 19" tall with chimney.
