13 inch high figural stem oil Lamp. This lamp has a 4 7/8 X 4 7/8 inch X 1 inch high metal base. The figure is the bust of a beautiful woman. The figure is 6 inches tall and is supporting a brass colored base that holds a glass font for the lamp oil. The glass is 3 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches across. On top of that is a brass colored cover that the burner screws into. The glass font has some etching on it. There are 2 cracks in the glass font. The font could be turned so that the cracks were in back. Lamp has fine detail.

A professional can probably take the lamp to pieces and reposition the base. Alternatively it looks just fine as it is. If it is turned slightly, you can't see it leaning. Cut Glass Oil Lamp Font A very High quality oil lamp indeed. A reeded stepped copper. Brass and china base houses a particularly good triple cut faceted glass font in perfect condition. The font is fitted with a classic hinks/messengers bayonet fitting collar which houses a very good hinks no2 Duplex rise and fall burner. The lamp is finished with an original victorian acid etched reeded globular shade. The overall height of the oil lamp including the chimney is 65cm 25 1/2 inches tall. The shade is just over 18cm tall and 20cm 8 inches wide. The diameter of the font is 17cm just shy of 7 inches. Postage UK £10. Europe £30, USA and Canada £45. Condition: The lamp is pretty much in a perfect condition. The only fault is to the oil lamp shade. With minor fritting to the top and bottom. Please see the photos, they speak volumes.

This is a 1940s or earlier vintage kerosene oil lamp in very good condition and working order. It features a sturdy unitary one-piece glass base and oil bowl. With the bowl section being transparent amber in color. The wick is intact and operates smoothly by turning the screw. The wick mechanism securely screws onto the top of the glass bowl. CLARKES FAIRY CRICKLITE LAMP OIL CANDLE BASE CUP & GLASS DOME CUT PRESSED GLASS
Here we have a stamped original Victorian Clarke's Cricklite/Fairy Lamp type night-light holding base cup with its original matching glass dome(peg version for candlesticks etc. The lamps were used with night-light candles(similar to tea-lights of today but usually deeper) and sometimes a very small oil lamp in the place of a candle. The cup is made of clear pressed-glass imitating brilliant-cut crystal. The peg at the base has its often missing wooden'stump-like' mount around it to fit into a candle socket. The base measures 10cm diameter and is in excellent condition. The glass dome measures 8cm diameter at the bottom and 12 cm high approx. and is in very nice condition with a couple of nibbles from the top glass rim and some verdigree under the metal rim but I am sure this could be clean ed off- but does not detract in any ... moreway. There are a couple of bubbles in the glass from the original manufacture- a sign of its age. The gold band running around the bottom circumference is impressed with the Cricklite name. The Turn on the wick says"P&A Co Pat. 1.16 88 and 8.8 97" Measures 13" tall. Base Measures 4 and 3/4" square. Around the widest point of the embossed glass that holds the oil/kerosene is 19" A Beautiful Girl adorns the stem. There is some paint loss due to age.it is over 100 years old. Elegant blue glass oil lamp base and font. See description for condition.
Description This is a beautiful oil lamp in milk glass overlaid with a duck egg blue glass or paint and with painted and gilt decoration on both the front and rear of the lamp. There are brass/ormolu handles connected to a ring which supports the brass font support inside the lamp(please see condition notes for the age cracking this has suffered- although very striking when studied. The age cracking is not visible when the lamp is complete nor does it affect the working of the lamp. There is a brass/ormolu foot to the lamp, held on using a central threaded rod and a metal plate. The glass font which makes up the top of the lamp above the ormolu/handle ring has a crack on the top shoulder. Obvious but can be turned to the back of the lamp to hide it for display. The decoration on the front is of a French rococco design. Of two children(one ... moreboy and one girl) dressed in the style of Versailles and King Louis of France, in a rose garden. On the back is an attractive rococco design in white and gold. The blue finish has streaks and marks that are from when it was applied, not noticeable unless looking closely and obviously from the manufacturing process. There is one chip to the gilt ring below the panel with the two children, this is shallow but has gone through the gilt and the blue finish to show the white underneath but is very small(approx 3mm diameter) There is no burner with the lamp and the collar had come off so the font has been cleaned ready for a new collar. The original collar was for a duplex burner and was presumably older as it was a push fit variety rather than a bayonet or screw in fitting. Height of the lamp is 13.5 inches and the width of the handles is 7.5inches. Overall this is a very beautiful lamp and a nice example of it's type. Unusual to still have the correct font for it! I am selling as I need to reduce my collection! Condition This oil lamp is a beautiful piece but has some damage to be noted. The pattern name of the font eludes me but can be found in any quality book on blue milk glass. Nice fluted top and cross hatched pattern shade compliments the color of the BMG. Frosted chimney stops the glare from a clear glass chimney. 21" to top of chimney. A lovely lady informed me that this lamp was made by Dithridge Co. and the pattern is Sunset.

Beautiful 19th C. oil lamp, pink milk glass font, marble column base no vaseline
19th C. oil lamp. The brass-mounted turned marble column base supporting a glass font with vertical stripes of milk glass, graduating from white at the base to pink at the top. The stripes have a vey"vaseliney" look to them, but I have tested this with a black-light and it does not fluoresce like true vaseline glass. Total height to the top of the burner is 14 1/2" 37cm) the diametre of the font is 4 3/4" 11.5cm) and the brass burner is just over 2" 5cm) across at the widest point, to take a 2" fitter shade. The brass parts are lightly tarnished(easily buffed up if so desired) and there is a small split on one side of the brass collar at the top of the marble column(photo No.8) otherwise in very good condition, with everything working as it should.
