Up for auction is this rare moulded and shaded glass peg lamp complete with a nice. Working 6 line size kosmos lamp and its original matching shade. Please note THE SHADE HAS A CHIP IN THE FITTING RING if this distresses you then please read no further. Lamp stands 13 inches. 33 cms) total tall as in picture 1, and the shade is just under 7 inches at max diameter, the fitting rim is the usual 5&1/2 inch you would expect of a 6 line kosmos. There is NO DAMAGE to the glass fount. It even has ALL FOUR steel grip springs present, springy and correct. Brass 6 line kosmos collar to top, and an original kosmos burner, complete with wick and correct chimney. wick winds, no nasty grinding. burner has integral shade ring. Which, despite some signs of resoldering where it fits into the burner, holds the shade level and is sturdy. Shade. Ok as before ... morementioned it has a chip to the rim. Pretty much hidden by the brass gallery. ther is also a flat flake inside one of the top ruffles(about 5mm wide) almost invisible, but you can feel it if you rub it. There are NO cracks or burst bubbles. And the shade rings like a bell. As the shade is tinted and opal you could fill the base rim chip if it bothered you. Similar moulded matching sets are shown in the 1896 Veritas catalogue. And they refer to the colour there as'old gold' Despite the damage this is still an extremely rare lamp. Wonderful pair of vintage Hollywood Regency style table lamps crafted from hand blown Bristol glass. The lamps are in good shape and work well. The shapely frosted glass bodies boast a hand painted gold floral design with embossed accents. The round metal bases have a gold finish and felt bottoms. Antique style Colonial 5 Lamp Chandelier Ebony Glass Ball Gold Stars Metal Eagle
Estate sale find of a 5 lamp chandelier. I found it in a Sears Antique Lighting Catalog from 1937 on page 12. It said the model of this 5-light drop fixture is called"Stuyvesant" and that it was in the style of old Colonial Lamps before electricity. The color scheme is ebony black and brassy/gold. The center is a large ebony glass black ball with gold stars painted on it and a gold eagle sitting on top. The ad said it could go with any decor not just colonial. 20-1/2 in. to the round circle on top of the eagle and 19-1/12 in. in diameter at the bottom. The ball is 19 in. in circumference and is thick black glass through. The glass ball has at the bottom a 1 in. surface flake type chip that is 1 in. long and 1/4 in. at the middle(see photo) This flake is not obvious unless you are looking for it and would not really be seen when ... morehanging. Selling this chandelier"AS IS" for parts or repair. It does need to be rewired and the paint on the metal parts is chippy. The gold stars on the glass ball are in great condition. The ball is so shiney that it is picking up all kinds of reflections of light that show up on the photos but are not on the ball. This lamp is 77 years old. I was told the house they came from was built circa 1920 and there was original fixtures. The Lamps are far nicer than my photos can show and I am sure the new owner will be most impressed. The Lamps or Mini Chandeliers are also a great size for use in any home or apartment measuring 10-1/4" tall by 6-1/4" wide. The wiring looks good but I was unable to test them so I can not comment on whether they actually work or not and I would personally rewire them anyway. The Sconces are overall in excellent condition. They could use a good cleaning and there is some minor chips to the prisms as I am sure would be found on most any example of this age. Antique Art Nouveu Lady Table Lamp- Gold with Mica Glass shades
Art Nouveu Sexy Lady Table Lamp with shades circa 1900. Measures 17" high and approx. 13" wide with the shades. I'm not sure if the lamp is brass or pot-metal. The leaves appear to be brass plated metal. The shades appear to be made out of white Mica. It appears to have one maple leaf missing on the right extension that holds the shade, but to me the lamp overall is in excellent condition and is beautiful. Antique Ceramic Floral Trophy TABLE LAMP Clear Glass Finial Blue Pink Brass Gold
This is a gorgeous antique table lamp. The harp and glass ball finial are included. The lamp is beautiful partly because of the many colors-robin's egg blue at the top and bottom with a light pink as the background for multicolored flowers in between. There is a string of gold beads down each side. And the base is a brass sort of metal(not sure exactly) It works as is, although looking at the cord I'd suggest you rewire it. No chips or other problems. Although there is considerable crazing agreeable to its age. With the current harp and finial. It stands a little over 24" high.
